In this study a series of a segmented copolyester, poly(4,4′-dioxy-2,2′-dimethyl-azoxybenzene dodecanedioyl) (PMABD)-co-polyoxypropylene 400 (POP), was prepared. The chain length of PMABD studied (n) was varied from 7.8-18.2, and that of POP was unchanged. The intrinsic viscosity of the segmented copolyesters was 1.04-1.30, and the number average molecular weight obtained was 2.53 × 104?3.49 × 104 g/mol. The mesophase texture and thermal properties of the segmented copolyesters were measured as functions of n. It was found that the insert of flexible POP between those liquid crystalline domains of PMABD did affect thermotropic properties of PMABD. As the n value was 9.0 and 7.8 (or 7.4 and 8.6% by weight POP) the texture appeared as cholesteric-like oily streaks. The effect could not be attained by simply copolymerizing a mesogenic moiety with a pair of spacers of different lengths. The fluidity and domain structure of the flexible dodecanedioyl-POP-dodcanedioyl segments are taken into account for the obtained results. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A novel hybrid optimization method called quantum stochastic tunneling has been recently introduced. Here, we report its implementation within a new docking program called EasyDock and a validation with the CCDC/Astex data set of ligand-protein complexes using the PLP score to represent the ligand-protein potential energy surface and ScreenScore to score the ligand-protein binding energies. When taking the top energy-ranked ligand binding mode pose, we were able to predict the correct crystallographic ligand binding mode in up to 75% of the cases. By using this novel optimization method run times for typical docking simulations are significantly shortened.  相似文献

Plastic electronic materials and high‐resolution printing methods may be important technologies for new classes of consumer electronic devices that are lightweight, mechanically flexible and bendable, and that can cover large areas at low cost. This article summarizes some of our recent work in this area. The self-assembly reactions of MIICl2 (M = Ni, Co) with the flexible bix ligand [bix = 1,4-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene] yielded a 2D network [NiII(bix)2Cl2]n 1 and a 1D chain [CoII(bix)Cl2]n 2. Their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Complex 1 characters a two-dimensional grid-type structure and crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 7.7231(7), b = 12.7787(9), c = 13.9374(13) , β = 105.419(4)o, C28H28Cl2N8Ni, Mr = 606.19, Ζ = 2, V = 1326.0(2) 3, Dc = 1.518 g/cm3, μ = 0.969 mm-1, F(000) = 628, R = 0.0429 and wR = 0.0783 for 2503 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Compound 2 is a one-dimensional chain and crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 11.3696(6), b = 10.2128(6), c = 14.4943(9) , C14H14Cl2CoN4, Mr = 368.12, Z = 4, V = 1683.01(17) 3, Dc = 1.453 g/cm3, μ = 1.334 mm-1, F(000) = 748, R = 0.0317 and wR = 0.0800 for 1778 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Magnetic properties of the title complexes were also investigated.  相似文献

The surfaces of surfactant solutions exhibit viscoelastic dilational behavior which may be investigated by modern optical and mechanical methods. The present study focuses on the dynamic dilational properties of the polymer solution — gas interface. Linear flexible polymer chains at the surface are considered as consisting of trains, lying on the surface, and loops and tails that protrude into the liquid. The Rouse model is used to describe the inner dynamics of the trains, whereas their motion relative to their neighbors on the surface can be described with the help of the reptation conception. An expression for the complex dynamic dilational surface elasticity has been derived. Although, in general, the relaxation of the surface tension is characterized by an infinite series of relaxation times, it is shown that for many systems the dynamics of the surface layer can be described approximately by only two main relaxation times. The dispersion equation, which was obtained earlier for solutions of conventional surfactants, is shown to be fulfilled for polymer solutions also.  相似文献

A new flexible ligand, 1,5-bis(8-oxaquinoline)-3-methylpentane (C5MeOQ), was synthesized and used in the preparation of the new dinuclear copper(II) complex 1: [Cu2(μ-OMe)2(μ-C5MeOQ)(NO3)2]. Single crystal X-ray analysis revealed that complex 1 contains dinuclear Cu(II) units with bridging methoxo groups. The ligand, C5MeOQ, takes on a bent conformation in order to connect to and complete the square planar coordination environment of both copper centers; and one of the two Cu(II) centers adopts a distorted square planar configuration as a result of the ligand conformation. The magnetic properties of complex 1 were investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements in the 100–300 K range. Interestingly, the susceptibility data for complex 1 reveals that the compound is diamagnetic, suggesting the presence of very strong antiferromagnetic coupling interactions between the adjacent Cu(II) centers.  相似文献

We present a computational protocol which uses the known three-dimensional structure of a target enzyme to identify possible ligands from databases of compounds with low molecular weight. This is accomplished by first mapping the essential interactions in the binding site with the program GRID. The resulting regions of favorable interaction between target and ligand are translated into a database query, and with UNITY a flexible 3D database search is performed. The feasibility of this approach is calibrated with thrombin as the target. Our results show that the resulting hit lists are enriched with thrombin inhibitors compared to the total database.  相似文献
