Abstract. The paper presents the solution to the properties of stochastic response of a system with random parametric noises, which is prone to the loss of aerodynamical stability. The system is described by an equation of van der Pol type with the negative linear, and with the positive cubic dampings. The coefficients of the linear damping and of the stiffness include the multiplicative random perturbations, the external excitation being given as a sum of a deterministic function and of an additive perturbation. All three input random processes are supposed to be Gaussian and centered, with the non-zero mutual stochastic parameters, as it corresponds to the properties of real systems. The solution has been based on the method of stochastic linearisation and of the subsequent solution of the Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov equation in the sense of the first and second stochastic moments for the transient and stationary states. There have been demonstrated several effects, which are typical for systems with parametric noises, differentiating them from the systems with constant coefficients. The principal attention has been devoted to the properties of the spectral density of the response, the character of which changes abruptly with the degree of non-linearity of the damping and of the level of random perturbations.Sommario. La presente memoria studia le proprietà della risposta stocastica di un sistema con eccitazione casuale parametrica, che tende alla perdita della stabilità aerodinamica. Il sistema è descritto mediante un'equazione del tipo di van der Pole con il termine lineare dello smorzamento negativo e il termine cubico positivo. Poichá l'eccitazione esterna è la somma di una funzione deterministica e di una perturbazione additiva, i coefficienti dello smorzamento lineare e della rigidezza comprendono le perturbazioni casuali moltiplicative. I tre processi stocastici di eccitazione sono assunti gaussiani e a media nulla con parametri stocastici incrociati diversi da zero, come si verifica per le proprietà dei sistemi reali. La soluzione è basata sul metodo della linearizzazione stocastica e della successiva soluzione dell'equazione di Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov studiando i primi e i secondi momenti statistici per gli stati transitori e stazionari. Vengono mostrati diversi effetti, tipici dei sistemi con eccitazione parametrica, differenziandoli dai sistemi a coefficienti costanti. Fluid Flow-Induced Nonlinear Vibration of Suspended Cables 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The nonlinear interaction of the first two in-plane modes of a suspended cable with a moving fluid along the plane of the cable is studied. The governing equations of motion for two-mode interaction are derived on the basis of a general continuum model. The interaction causes the modal differential equations of the cable to be non-self-adjoint. As the flow speed increases above a certain critical value, the cable experiences oscillatory motion similar to the flutter of aeroelastic structures. A co-ordinate transformation in terms of the transverse and stretching motions of the cable is introduced to reduce the two nonlinearly coupled differential equations into a linear ordinary differential equation governing the stretching motion, and a strongly nonlinear differential equation for the transverse motion. For small values of the gravity-to-stiffness ratio the dynamics of the cable is examined using a two-time-scale approach. Numerical integration of the modal equations shows that the cable experiences stretching oscillations only when the flow speed exceeds a certain level. Above this level both stretching and transverse motions take place. The influences of system parameters such as gravity-to-stiffness ratio and density ratio on the response characteristics are also reported. 相似文献

对不可压缩层流二维干扰流动,本文提出一个干扰流动(IF)理论。IF理论要点为:1)干扰流动沿主流的法向被分为三层即粘性层、干扰层和无粘层,引进了法向动量交换为主导过程的干扰层概念。2)利用力学守恒律、三层匹配关系及文中引进的干扰模型,把三层的空间尺度及惯性-粘性诸力的数置级表示为单参数m的函数,m<1/2·3)导出描述各层流动的控制方程、导出描述全城流动的控制方程为简化Navie-Stokes(SNS)方程。IF理论适用于不存在分离的附着干扰流动以及存在分离的大范围干扰流动,经典边界层(CBL)理论和流动分离局部区域Triple-Deck(TD)理论分别是本文理论在参数m=O和1/4时的两个特例,本文理论容易推广到可压缩、三维及湍流流动。 相似文献

The nonlinear dynamics of a base-excited slender beam carrying a lumped mass subjected to simultaneous combination parametric resonance of sum and difference type along with 1:3:5 internal resonances is investigated. Method of normal form is applied to the governing nonlinear temporal differential equation of motion to obtain a set of first-order differential equations which are used to obtain the steady-state, periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic responses for different control parameters viz., amplitude and frequency of external excitation and damping. Frequency response, phase portraits, time spectra and bifurcation diagram are plotted to visualize the system behaviour with variation in the control parameters. Here, two distinct zones of trivial instability, blue sky catastrophe phenomena, jump down phenomena, simultaneous occurrence of periodic and chaotic orbits, period doubling of the mixed-mode periodic orbits leading to chaos, attractor merging crisis, boundary crisis, type II and on-off intermittencies are observed. A boundary layer analysis has been presented for the interaction of mixed convection with thermal radiation in laminar boundary flow from a vertical wedge in a porous medium saturated with a power-law type non-Newtonian incorporating the variation of permeability and thermal conductivity. The transformed conservation laws are solved numerically for the case of variable surface temperature conditions. The combined convection non-similar parameter we note that =0 and 1 correspond to pure free and forced convection cases. In this paper, we use the complex function method for solving the problem of interaction of plane SH-waves and circular cavity
surfaced with lining in anisotropic media. Anisotropic media can be used to simulate the conditions of the geology. This problem
