3-Methyl-(E)-stilbene (3MSti) and 4-(diethylamino)-(E)-stilbene (DEASti) monomers are synthesized and polymerized separately with maleic anhydride (MAn) in a strictly alternating fashion using reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization techniques. The optimal RAFT chain transfer agents (CTAs) for each copolymerization affect the reaction kinetics and CTA compatibilities. Psuedo-first order polymerization kinetics are demonstrated for the synthesis of poly((3-methyl-(E)-stilbene)-alt-maleic anhydride) (3MSti-alt-MAn) with a thiocarbonylthio CTA (methyl 2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)−2-methylpropionate, TTCMe). In contrast, a dithioester CTA (cumyl dithiobenzoate, CDB) controls the synthesis of poly((4-(diethylamino)-(E)-stilbene)-alt-maleic anhydride) (DEASti-alt-MAn) with pseudo-first order polymerization kinetics. DEASti-alt-MAn is chain extended with 4-acryloylmorpholine (ACMO) to synthesize diblock copolymers and subsequently converted to a double hydrophilic polyampholyte block copolymers (poly((4-(diethylamino)-(E)-stilbene)-alt-maleic acid))-b-acryloylmorpholine) (DEASti-alt-MA)-b-ACMO) via acid hydrolysis. The isoelectric point and dissociation behavior of these maleic acid-containing copolymers are determined using ζ-potential and acid–base titrations, respectively. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Key advances within the past 10 years have transformed copper‐mediated radical polymerization from a technique which was not very tolerant of protic media into a range of closely related processes capable of controlling the polymerization of a wide range of monomers in pure water at ppm catalyst loadings. This approach has afforded water‐soluble macromolecules of desired molecular weight, architecture, and chemical functionality, with applications ranging from drug delivery to oil processing. In this Review we highlight and critically evaluate the synthetic methods that have been developed to control radical polymerization in water by using copper complexes as well as identify future areas of interest and challenges still to be overcome.  相似文献

通过原位反应合成法成功合成了一种新型水溶性的磁性荧光复合纳米粒子Fe3O4@SiO2@ZrO2:Tb3+,并通过扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、X射线粉末衍射仪(XRD)、红外光谱仪(FT-IR)、磁性测试仪和荧光(PL)光谱对其形貌、尺寸、相组成、磁性和荧光性能进行了表征。 结果表明,核(Fe3O4@SiO2)壳(ZrO2:Tb3+)结构组成的磁性荧光复合纳米粒子具有超顺磁性,其饱和磁化强度达到36 emu/g,并且在494 nm(5D47F6)、549 nm(5D47F5)、587 nm(5D47F4)和625 nm(5D47F3)处具有4个Tb3+特有的荧光发射光谱带峰值。 磁性荧光双功能的复合纳米粒子在生物医学领域具有潜在的应用价值。  相似文献

The catalytic properties of water-soluble systems based on rhodium complexes and polyelectrolytes in isobutene hydroformylation were studied. All of the catalytic systems exhibited an unexpectedly high activity under the conditions where homogeneous hydroformylation virtually did not occur in the presence of conventional rhodium catalysts. A stable catalytic system based on acacRh(CO)2-PEG complex was proposed, allowing isobutene hydroformylation to be performed with a high activity under mild conditions. 在水相中合成了CdS纳米微粒,以ZnS对其进行表面修饰,得到具有核壳结构的(CdS)ZnS水溶性纳米晶。采用红外光谱、X射线衍射(XRD)、透射电镜(TEM)表征其粒度和形貌,紫外-可见吸收光谱(UV)、荧光光谱表征其光学特性。制得的CdS近似呈球形,直径为8nm;CdS纳米颗粒表面经ZnS修饰后,其荧光发射峰强度显著增强,表面态发射减弱。  相似文献

Terpolymers of sodium acrylate (NaA), acrylamide (AM), and the zwitterionic monomer 4-(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanedimethylammonio) butanoate (AMPDAB) were prepared by the free radical polymerization in 0.5M NaBr aqueous solution using potassium persulfate as the initiator. The feed ratio of AMPDAB : NaA : AM was varied from 5 : 5 : 90 to 40 : 40 : 20 mol %, with the total monomer concentration held constant at 0.45M. Terpolymer compositions were determined by 13C NMR. Molecular weights varied from 3.0 × 105 to 9.7 × 106 g/mol. All terpolymers were soluble in deionized water and salt solutions at all pH values. The dilute and semidilute solution behavior of the terpolymers was studied as a function of composition, pH, and added electrolytes. Polyelectrolyte behavior was observed for all terpolymers at pH 8.5, as evidenced by high viscosity values at low polymer concentrations and viscosity decrease in the presence of added electrolytes. The reduced viscosity as a function of decreasing pH exhibits a minimum as the terpolymer undergoes a polyanion/polyzwitterion/polycation transition. Comparison of the solution behavior of the terpolymers to terpolymers of 3-(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane dimethylammonio)-1-propane sulfonate (AMPDAPS), AM, and NaA (AADAPS series) as well as copolymers of AMPDAB and AM (AMPDAB series) have been made. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Water-soluble ABC triblock copolymers of methyl vinyl ether (MVE), ethyl vinyl ether (EVE), and methyl tri(ethylene glycol) vinyl ether (MTEGVE) of various block sequences and carrying 20 monomer units in each block were synthesized by living cationic polymerization. In addition to the triblocks, one AB diblock, one BA diblock, and one statistical copolymer of MVE and MTEGVE carrying 20 units of each type of monomer were synthesized as controls. Moreover, three homopolymers each carrying 20 units of MVE and end groups of varying hydrophobicity were synthesized using three different initiators. The molecular weights and molecular weight distributions of all the polymers were determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) in tetrahydrofuran (THF). The number average degrees of polymerization (DPns) and composition of all the polymers were calculated by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy. The molecular weights and degrees of polymerization corresponded to the values expected from the monomer/initiator ratios. The calculated polydispersities were reasonably narrow at 1.3. Aqueous GPC studies at room temperature on the triblock copolymers showed that the polymers exist as isolated chains (unimers) in solution but they tend to assemble and form micelles in the presence of a sufficiently high salt concentration apparently due to the insolubility of the EVE units under the latter conditions. Triblocks with a different block sequence exhibited a different susceptibility to salt-induced micellization, as indicated by the retention volume of the micelles and the relative micelle/unimer peak areas. Similarly, the cloud points of the triblock copolymers covered a relatively wide temperature range from 56 to 72°C. These differences in micellization and cloud points suggest a profound effect of the location of the hydrophilic MTEGVE block on copolymer association. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A new class of water-soluble polypyrroles (PPy) has been developed. This was accomplished by oxidative matrix polymerization of pyrrole (Py) monomer with Ce(IV) in the presence of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA), poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP), and copolymers (CP) of vinyl pyrrolidone(VP) with acrylic acid (AA) [VP/AA; 25/75 (CP1), 50/50 (CP2), 75/25 (CP3)]. The soluble and insoluble interpolymer complexes were observed according to the nature (and conformation) of polymers in mixture, the ratio of components, and the pH of solutions. The role of PAA, PVP, CP, Py, and Ce(IV) concentrations, the order of component addition, and the pH of the solutions were investigated. The evidence and structural reasons for the formation of soluble interpolymer complexes of PPy with different polymers are discussed. It is proposed that the compactization of the polymer matrix as well as the disturbance of the regularity of reactive groups on the polymer chain decreases the possibility of formation of soluble interpolymer complexes. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. N-vinyl-n-butyramide (NVBA), N-vinylisovaleramide (NVIVA), and N-vinyl-n-valeramide (NVVA), which are N-vinylalkylamides with different alkyl groups were synthesized and their solution behavior in a polymeric form was examined. Copolymers of N-vinylisobutyramide (NVIBA) with N-vinylacetamide (NVA), NVIBA with NVVA, and NVVA with NVA were prepared by the solution polymerization to control the LCSTs. The resultant polyNVBA showed a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) sharply at 32°C, but polyN-vinylisovaleramide (polyNVIVA) and polyN-vinyl-n-valeramide(polyNVVA) that have n-butyl and isobutyl groups, respectively, on their side chains were insoluble even in cold water. The water solubility of the resulting polymers was found to vary, depending on the molecular shapes as well as the side chain length of the alkyl groups in question. The copolymers consisting of NVVA, NVIBA, and NVA in water showed LCSTs sharply between 10 and 90°C, depending on changes in their comonomer content. It was found that the changes in LCST that are caused by the incorporation of comonomers are due to changes in the overall hydrophilicity of the polymer. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 通过对在不同阶段中和不同条件下所获得的硫化产物的XRD和TEM分析发现,镍盐在临氢加热前的硫化产物是结晶程度较低的NiS2,临氢加热后变为结晶程度较高的NiS和Ni7S6,它们的分散状态没有明显地改变;钼酸盐在临氢加热前的硫化产物为部分硫代钼酸盐,临氢加热后变为微晶态MoS2,其分散状态明显提高,临氢加热是两种催化剂前体的硫化过程中的重要阶段。助硫化剂NH4Cl的加入对镍盐的硫化产物的各种物理和化学存在状态都没有产生显著的影响,它是钼酸盐硫化过程中不可缺少的助剂,当NH4Cl加入量增大时,XRD分析未发现其本体化学组成有变化,其结晶程度有所降低,晶粒度由6.6 nm降至3.6 nm。分散介质的种类对催化剂的分散效果产生了显著的影响。以钼酸盐为例,密度和黏度更大的克拉玛依常压渣油更有利于硫化产物的分散,与采用润滑油基础油为分散介质时相比,其晶粒度由3.0 nm降低至2.0 nm,且外观形态由粒径较小(50 nm~100 nm)的较致密的颗粒变为粒径较大(100 nm~500 nm)的呈现蓬松球壳结构的絮状团块。  相似文献
