Formation and Physicochemical Features of Hybrid Threadlike Micelles in Aqueous Solution

We investigate the construction of long, stable hybrid threadlike micelles consisting of polyelectrolytes and oppositely charged surfactants in aqueous solution and examine the physicochemical features such as their structure and viscoelastic behavior in aqueous solution. The most important point for their construction is the careful control of interactions, especially electrostatic interactions, caused between the surfactants and polyelectrolytes. Incorporated polyelectrolytes are fully extended in these hybrid threadlike micelles irrespective of the molecular weight of the polymer. The viscoelastic behavior of the hybrid threadlike micellar solution is similar to that of ordinary threadlike micellar systems consisting of low‐molecular‐weight substances. However, the inclusion of polymers in the micelles causes differences in their mechanical properties.     

Synthesis and Structural Characterization of a New Cadmium(Ⅱ) Complex Bridged by Endo-norbornene-cis-5,6-dicarboxylic Acid

A polynuclear complex [Cd(endc)(H2O)]n·nH2O (endc = endo-norbomene-cis5,6-dicarboxylate anion) has been synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of cadmium nitrate tetrahydrate with endo-norbomene-cis-5,6-dicarboxylic acid in 1:1 molar ratio,and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.It crystallizes in monoclinic,space group P21/c with a = 1.16471(7),b = 0.95334(7),c = 0.91109(9) nm,Z = 4,V= 1.01035(14)nm3,Dc.= 2.160 g/cm3,μ= 2.172 mm-1,F(000) = 648,R =0.0302 and wR = 0.0752.According to structural analysis,each Cd(Ⅱ) ion is coordinated to six O atoms from three endc anions and one water molecule,giving a distorted octahedral geometry.Two- dimensional layer arrangement of the title complex is constructed from the bridging nature of endc.It is worth notice that adjacent two-dimensional layers are joined together to form a three-dimensional supramolecular framework via intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of [{Cd(hmbdc)(H2O)3}·2H2O]n

A novel coordination polymer [{Cd(hmbdc)(H2O)3}·2H2O]n (hmbdc=5-hydroxy- isophthalic acid) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group P21/c, with a=9.599(3), b=18.699(5), c=7.557(2) (A), β= 108.198(4)°, V=1288.6(6) (A)3, Z=4, Mr=382.60, Dc=1.972 g/cm3, F(000)=760, μ=1.740, the final R=0.0555 and wR=0.0995 for 1732 observed reflections with Ⅰ ＞ 2σ(Ⅰ). The structural analysis shows that the intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions result in a three-dimensional supramolecular framework.     

Co‐Conformational Distribution of Nanosized [2]Catenanes Determined by Pulse EPR Measurements

The co‐conformational ensembles of three differently sized [2]catenanes were studied by measuring pair correlation functions corresponding to the separation of nitroxide spin labels—one attached to each of the two macrocycles—with the double electron–electron resonance (DEER) experiment. A geometric model for the [2]catenanes was derived that approximates the macrocycles by circles and takes into account the topological constraint. Comparison of the experimental to the theoretically predicted pair correlation functions gives insight into the co‐conformational distribution and the size of the macrocycles. It was found that the macrocycles of the medium‐ and large‐sized catenanes in chloroform are close to fully expanded, while they are partially collapsed in glassy o‐terphenyl. For the small‐sized catenane, moderate interaction between the unsaturated sections of the macrocycles in chloroform is indicated by a slight overrepresentation of short label‐to‐label separations in the pair correlation function.     

Anderson-B-型多金属氧酸盐[Co(2,2-′bipy)_3]H-[Al(OH)_6(Mo_6O_(18))]·5H_2O的合成及晶体结构

以A lC l3.6H2O、Na2MoO4.2H2O、CoC l2.6H2O和2,2′-联吡啶为主要原料合成了Anderson-B-型多金属氧酸盐[Co(2,2-′b ipy)3]H[A l(OH)6(Mo6O18)].5H2O,进行了红外光谱、紫外光谱、差热分析和单晶结构测定。晶体学测定结果表明,化合物属于三斜晶系,Pī空间群,晶胞参数:a=1.216 0(2),b=1.221 5(2),c=1.780 0(4)nm,α=86.83(3)°,β=88.76(3)°,γ=89.82(3)°,V=2.639 4(9)nm3,Z=2,R1=0.079 4,wR2=0.176 6。化合物结构分析表明,在晶体学上,标题化合物分子是由1个[Co(2,2-′b ipy)3]2 配阳离子,1个H 离子,2个1/2[A l(OH)6(Mo6O18)]3-多阴离子和5个结晶水分子组成。多阴离子[A l(OH)6(Mo6-O18)]3-借助水分子和金属配离子通过超分子作用形成二维网状结构,网状结构之间又借助超分子作用形成三维无限伸展结构。差热分析表明,标题化合物的失重过程分为2步,多阴离子骨架破坏温度为547.5℃。     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Novel Manganese Coordination Polymer： 2,5-Bis（4-pyridyl）-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene

A new manganese coordination polymer 1, [Mn(H2O)4(L)]n(ClO4)2n·2nH2O·3nL (L = 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene), has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group Pn with a = 13.9176(8), b = 15.4754(9), c = 15.9670(9) , β = 99.5010(10)o, V = 3391.8(3) 3, Z = 2, C56H68Cl2MnN16O14 , Mr = 1315.10, Dc = 1.288 g/cm3, μ = 0.344 mm-1, F(000) = 1374, R = 0.0733 and wR = 0.2035. In the crystal the manganese atom is six-coordinated by two nitrogen atoms from 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene and four oxygen atoms from water molecules, completing an octahedral geometry. The title complex exhibits a novel supramolecular layer architecture sustained by the concurrence of coordination bonds, hydrogen bonds, and π-π stacking interactions.     

超分子结构二氟尼柳插层镁铝水滑石的合成与表征

采用离子交换和共沉淀两种不同方法将二氟尼柳插入镁铝水滑石层间，得到一种新型的有机-无机层状复合材料。通过X射线粉末衍射、红外光谱、元素分析和热重-差热等手段对材料进行了表征。结果表明，离子交换法和共沉淀法成功地将二氟尼柳插入水滑石，得到的材料层状结构完整、晶相单一，且层间距均大于二氟尼柳分子尺寸，扩大为1.81～2.14 nm；二氟尼柳插入后，复合水滑石材料的热稳定性大幅度提高。客体二氟尼柳与主体层板之间存在超分子作用力，二氟尼柳分子的羧基与水滑石层板之间相互作用，以双层倾斜交替地排列于层板之间。此外，根据其超分子作用力建立了二氟尼柳插层镁铝水滑石的超分子结构模型。     

New Host Molecules with Imidazoliums as Functional Arms:Syntheses and Anion Recognition

The bridged tri-imidazoliums 3.3X^--5.3X^-(X^-=PF6^-,Br^-,I^-)and bis-imidazoliums 6.2PF6^- were synthesized by N-quaternization of imidazole derivative 1 in acetonitrile under reflux.UV spectroscopic titration experiments showed that the halide salts and hexafluorophosphate salts of these imidazoliums exhibited good recognition toward anions in water and in acetonitrile,respectively.     

Solid-state optical properties of a chiral supramolecular fluorophore consisting of chiral (1R,2R)-1,2-diphenylethylenediamine and fluorescent carboxylic acid derivatives

By using (1R,2R)-1,2-diphenylethylenediamine as a chiral molecule and 2-anthracenecarboxylic acid as a fluorescent molecule, we created a chiral supramolecular organic fluorophore having circularly polarized luminescence properties in the solid-state.
