The hydrodynamically thinned diffusion layer at a sinusoidally rocking disc is approximately uniform and can be expressed in terms of a diffusion layer thickness with D, the diffusion coefficient of the redox active species, v, the kinematic viscosity, Θ, the total rocking angle (here 90 degrees), and f, the rocking frequency (ranging here from 0.83 to 25 Hz). For the one‐electron oxidation of 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐oxyl (TEMPO) in aqueous carbonate buffer pH 9.5, it is shown that there is quantitative agreement between the expression for the diffusion layer thickness and experimental data. Next, for seven primary alcohols, the catalytic TEMPO‐mediated oxidation mechanism is investigated under rocking disc conditions. Chemical rate constants are evaluated (by varying the diffusion layer thickness) employing the DigiElch4.F simulation package. Trends in the chemical rate constants (compared with DFT calculations) suggest enhanced reactivity for methanol versus higher primary alcohols and for aromatic versus non‐aromatic primary alcohols. Rocking disc voltammetry allows quantitative mechanistic analysis in the laminar flow regime.  相似文献

This study analyzed the electrical properties of a multiple‐cells using the electric cell‐substrate impedance sensing, a scalable three‐dimensional electrode array and an equivalent circuit model (ECM). The experimental results validated the accuracy and validity of the extraction method for the ECM. The ECM simulation results using the electrical properties extracted by measuring 52 HeLa cells successfully forecasted the impedance magnitudes and phases for 15, 29, 78, and 98 HeLa cells. Comparing the ECM simulations and measurements, the maximum average errors in magnitude and phase were 3.06 % and 4.67 %, suggesting the number of HeLa cells can be classified by their electrical properties.  相似文献

We show the influence of species present in precursor solution during formation of lead halide perovskite materials on the structural defects of the films. The coordination of lead by competing solvent molecules and iodide ions dictate the type of complexes present in the films. Depending on the processing conditions all PbIS5+, PbI2S4, PbI3S3?, PbI4S22?, PbI5S23?, PbI64?and 1D (Pb2I4)n chains are observed by absorption measurements. Different parameters are studied such as polarity of the solvent, concentration of iodide ions, concentration of solvent molecules and temperature. It is concluded that strongly coordinating solvents will preferentially form species with a low number of iodide ions and less coordinative solvents generate high concentration of PbI6?. We furthermore propose that all these plumbate ions may act as structural defects determining electronic properties of the photovoltaic films.  相似文献

BackgroundGene expression heterogeneity contributes to development as well as disease progression. Due to technological limitations, most studies to date have focused on differences in mean expression across experimental conditions, rather than differences in gene expression variance. The advent of single cell RNA sequencing has now made it feasible to study gene expression heterogeneity and to characterise genes based on their coefficient of variation.MethodsWe collected single cell gene expression profiles for 32 human and 39 mouse embryonic stem cells and studied correlation between diverse characteristics such as network connectivity and coefficient of variation (CV) across single cells. We further systematically characterised properties unique to High CV genes.ResultsHighly expressed genes tended to have a low CV and were enriched for cell cycle genes. In contrast, High CV genes were co-expressed with other High CV genes, were enriched for bivalent (H3K4me3 and H3K27me3) marked promoters and showed enrichment for response to DNA damage and DNA repair.ConclusionsTaken together, this analysis demonstrates the divergent characteristics of genes based on their CV. High CV genes tend to form co-expression clusters and they explain bivalency at least in part.  相似文献

Aligned and flexible electrospun carbon nanomaterials are used to synthesize carbon/perovskite nanocomposites. The free‐electron diffusion length in the CH3NH3PbI3 phase of the CH3NH3PbI3/carbon nanocomposite is almost twice that of bare CH3NH3PbI3, and nearly 95 % of the photogenerated free holes can be injected from the CH3NH3PbI3 phase into the carbon nanomaterial. The exciton binding energy of the composite is estimated to be 23 meV by utilizing temperature‐dependent optical absorption spectroscopy. The calculated free carriers increase with increasing total photoexcitation density, and this broadens the potential of this material for a broad range of optoelectronics applications. A metal‐electrode‐free perovskite solar cell (power conversion efficiency: 13.0 %) is fabricated with this perovskite/carbon composite, which shows great potential for the fabrication of efficient, large‐scale, low‐cost, and metal‐electrode‐free perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

Fuzhuan brick-tea (FBT) is unique for a fungal fermentation stage in its manufacture process and is classified in dark tea. A new acylated flavonol glycoside, kaempferol 3-O-[E-p-coumaroyl-(→2)][α-l-arabinopyranosyl-(1→3)][α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1→6)]-β-d-glucopyranoside, which was trivially named as camellikaempferoside A (1), was isolated from FBT along with camelliquercetiside C (2). Their structures were unambiguously elucidated by combination of spectroscopic and chemical methods. Compound 1 showed anti-proliferative activity against MCF-7 and MDA–MB-231 cells with IC50 values of 7.83 and 19.16 μM, respectively.  相似文献

Prisconnatanones A (Priscon-A) is a rare tetrahydroanthraquinone isolated from herbal Prismatomeris connate. In this study, we examine its anti-tumour activity on human laryngocarcinoma HEp-2 cells in vitro. The CCK-8 assay was performed to evaluate its cytotoxicity. Cell cycle and apoptosis were analysed using flow cytometric analysis. Here, we showed Priscon-A inhibited the proliferation of HEp-2 cells in a dose-dependent manner, and at 5 μM it almost completely inhibited cell growth. Its cytotoxicity was associated with the cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase. The Annexin V-FITC/PI binding assay showed that the cell death induced by Priscon-A was associated with apoptosis. And, western blot analysis revealed that the levels of the apoptosis protein, cleaved caspase-3, PARP, p21 and Bax protein increased, while the level of anti-apoptosis protein Bcl-2 decreased.. These data demonstrated that Priscon-A significantly inhibited HEp-2 cell growth, induced the cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and efficiently induced cell apoptosis.  相似文献

Stroke is among the leading causes of death and severe disability worldwide. Flavonoids have been extensively used in the treatment of ischemic stroke by reducing lactate dehydrogenase levels and thereby enhancing blood perfusion to the ischemic region. Here, we used ultrafiltration high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detection and mass spectrometry for the rapid screening and identification of flavonoids from five Chinese medicinal herbs: soybean, Radix pueraria, Flos pueraria, Rhizoma belamcandae, and Radix astragali. Using PC12 cells as a suitable in vitro model of toxicity, cell viability was quantitated using the 3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. The results showed that the extracts of soybean and the six major components, namely, acetyldaidzin, malonylgenistin, daidiain, glycitin, genistin, and acetylcitin; the extract of R. pueraria and its main component daidzein; the extract of F. pueraria and its three major components, tectorigenin, tectoridin, and tectorigenin‐7‐O‐xylosylglucosid; and the extract of R. belamcandae and its main component, tectoridin, were strong lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors. Also, the components of R. astragali showed no bioactivity. These findings indicate that the ultrafltration high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detection and mass spectrometry method could be utilized in rapid screening and separation of bioactive compounds from a complex matrix.  相似文献

Stroke represents the fourth leading cause of death in the USA and the second leading cause of death worldwide. Lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors are widely used in the treatment of ischemic stroke and natural products are considered a promising source of novel lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors. In this study, we used PC12 cells to determine the protective effect of extracts from the herb Belamcanda chinensis following toxic challenge. Using ultrafiltration high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with photo‐diode array detection and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, we screened and identified isoflavonoids from Belamcanda chinensis extracts. Semi‐preparative high‐performance liquid chromatography was then applied to separate and isolate the active constituents. Using these methods, we identified six major compounds in Belamcanda chinensis as lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors: tectoridin, iristectorin A, iridin, tectorigenin, irigenin, and irisflorentin, which were then isolated to >92% purity. This is the first report that Belamcanda chinensis extracts contain potent lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors. Our results demonstrate that the systematic isolation of bioactive components from Belamcanda chinensis guided by ultrafiltration high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with photo‐diode array detection and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry represents a feasible and efficient technique that could be extended for the identification and isolation of other enzyme inhibitors.  相似文献
