Carboxylic Acids from <Emphasis Type="Italic">Phyllanthus urinaria</Emphasis>

Five compounds, terephthalic acid mono-[2-(4-carboxy-phenoxycarbonyl)-vinyl] ester (1), (E)-3-(5′-hydroperoxy-2,2′-dihydroxy[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-yl)-2-propenoic acid (2), 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid (3), succinic acid (or butanedioic acid) (4), and 2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxybenzoic acid (5), were isolated from Phyllanthus urinaria. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by means of spectral techniques including IR, MS, and 1D/2D NMR. 1 and 2 are new compounds.__________Published in Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 1, pp. 14–17, January–February, 2005.

报道了8个2,4-二氨基-5-取代苄基嘧啶衍生物的电子轰击质谱及碰撞活化解离和质量分析离子动能谱.该谱提供了化合物醚键及2,4-二氨基-5-取代苄基嘧啶环的主要碎裂途径,总结了一些裂解规律,将有助于这类化合物的结构推断。     

Synthesis of first nonannulated 1,2,3,4-tetrazine 1,3-dioxides

Thermolysis of o-diazidobenzotetrazine 1,3-dioxides was accompanied by cleavage of the C-C bond of the benzene ring to give nonannulated 1,2,3,4-tetrazine 1,3-dioxides. The structures of these first representatives of nonfused 1,2,3,4-tetrazines were confirmed by ¹³C and ¹⁴N NMR spectroscopy. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Optimization of the Synthesis of 2,6–Dinitro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl Ether Substituted Cyclodextrin Bonded Chiral Stationary Phases

The comparisons of five different chiral stationary phases (CSPs) based on 2,6-dinitro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl (DNP-TFM) ether substituted β-cyclodextrin are presented. The five CSPs differ from each other in the linkage/spacer chemistry, or on the position of the substituents on β-cyclodextrin, or in the sequence of the synthetic procedure. The results show that there are two optimum combinations: (1) DNP-TFM randomly substituted on the β-cyclodextrin as the chiral selector along with a carbamate linkage chain bonding it to the silica support; and (2) β-cyclodextrin derivatized by DNP-TFM substituents only on the C-2 and C-3 positions of the cyclodextrin with an ether linkage chain anchoring it to the silica gel. These two combinations show complementary separations for some enantiomers. The spacer chain effect is much more pronounced for the CSP based on the β-cyclodextrin derivatives with DNP-TFM substituents only on C-2 and C-3 positions than its randomly substituted counterpart. The sequence of derivatizing the cyclodextrin and attaching it to silica gel also affects its selectivity and efficiency. The β-cyclodextrin should be derivatized before it is linked to the silica gel.     

Total synthesis of dapiramicin B

The first total synthesis of dapiramicin B, a nucleoside antibiotic, is described. The characteristic N-glycoside linkage in dapiramicin B was effectively constructed by way of the Pd-catalyzed coupling reaction of a heptopyranosylamine with a bromopyrrolopyrimidine derivative.

The 5-fluorouracil-1-acetic acid (5FuAA) and its Cu(Ⅱ) complex (5FuAACu) were synthesized and the date for the crystal complex was obtained. The interaction of 5-fluorouracil-1-acetic acid (5FuAA) and its Cu(Ⅱ) complex (5FuAACu) with DNA was also investigated by using spectral, viscometric, electrochemical and agarose gel electrophoresis methods. The results of interaction with DNA suggest that both 5FuAA and 5FuAACu can bind to DNA in a static electricity attraction mode. But the attraction of 5FuAACu is greater than that of 5FuAA.     

无机胶体法制备Pt/C催化剂及其性能表征

采用无机胶体法制备用于质子交换膜燃料电池(PEMFC)的Pt/C催化剂。研究了影响PtO₂胶体生成和稳定性的因素(溶液的pH值、浓度和温度条件等)以及不同还原剂浓度对Pt/C催化剂性能的影响。透射电子显微镜测试结果表明，采用经优化的工艺条件所制备的Pt/C催化剂平均粒径为3 nm，且分散性好、粒度均匀。X-射线衍射分析表明，催化剂中Pt(111)晶面的相对含量较高，有利于加速氧还原反应。单体PEMFC的电压/电流密度曲线测试表明，所制备的Pt/C催化剂具有良好的电化学性能。     

Reactions of bis(hexamethylbenzene)iron(0) with carbon monoxide and with unsaturated hydrocarbons

Thermal decomposition of bis(hexamethylbenzene)iron(0) in the presence of carbon monoxide yields a novel carbonyl iron complex, [C₆(CH₃)₆]Fe(CO)₂. The cyclohexadiene complex [C₆(CH₃)₆]Fe(C₆H₈) is obtained from reaction of bis(hexamethylbenzene)iron(0) with either 1,3-cyclohexadiene or benzene, and the yield is much greater in the presence of hydrogen gas. Interaction of bis-(hexamethylbenzene)iron(0) with 2-butyne induces a catalytic cyclotrimerization to give more hexamethylbenzene. Kinetic and isotope distribution studies indicate that the primary step in these reactions is not a direct loss of one ring ligand, but rather an insertion of the iron center into one of the ligand methyl CH bonds, leading to a benzyl hydride complex species. Mechanisms for the subsequent reactions of this iron hydride species are proposed.
