Synthesis, spectroscopic studies and crystal structure of a polyoxoanion cluster incorporating para-bromophenylimido ligand, (Bu4N)2[Mo6O18(NC6H4Br-p)]

An organic-inorganic hybrid compound, (Bu₄N)₂[Mo₆O₁₈(NAr)] (Ar = p-BrC₆H₄) has been synthesized via the DCC dehydrating protocol of the reaction of [α-Mo₈O₂₆]⁴⁻ with 4-bromoaniline hydrochloride in anhydrous acetonitrile, which has been characterized by UV-Vis spectra, ¹H NMR and single crystal X-ray diffraction study. By comparing the UV-Vis spectra, which were used to monitor the reaction, the optimum preparative condition for this compound was also determined. This compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2₁/n, which is featured in a terminal para-bromophenylimido group linked to an Mo atom of a hexamolybdate cluster by a Mo-N triply bond. In addition, there are π-π dimerization of the neighboring cluster anions though the parallel aromatic rings in their crystals.     

Development of aryl-containing dipyrrolyldiketone difluoroboron complexes (BONEPYs): Tune the hydrogen bond o–CH···F for fluoride recognition

Dipyrrolyldiketone difluoroboron complexes (BONEPYs) were synthesized by condensation of the corresponding pyrroles and malonyl chloride followed by treatment with BF₃·OEt₂. The aryl-substituted pyrrole is introduced to form a cyclic system in order to investigate anion binding studies. In BONEPYs 1–3 the o-H of the aryl group forms hydrogen bonding with F⁻ to give a more table complex. In contrast, the intramolecular hydrogen-bonded BONEPY endo-4 is more stable than its exo isomer. While adding F⁻, the hydrogen bonds must be broken first to give 4·(3)F⁻. Owing to the electron-rich group (-OMe), the o-H of the phenyl group can hardly interact with F⁻ via hydrogen bonding to give the less stable complex 4·(5)F⁻. The energy differences between the different conformations were calculated using DFT methods, which is consistent to the experimental observations.     

方酸染料在远红光区／近红外区对纳米晶二氧化钛电极的高效敏化作用

Four para-dialkylaminophenyl （PDAAP1-PDAAP4） bearing carboxyl groups were studied for application to the dye-sensitized solar cells （DSC）. It was found the short spacer CH2 between carboxyl and dialkylaminophenyl chromophore in PDAAP3 and PDAAP4 led to highly efficient monochromatic incident photon-to-current conversion efficiencies （IPCE）, however the long alkyl group C4H9 attached on aniline moieties in PDAAP2 and PDAAP4 favored improvement of open-circuit photovoltage. Thus, the solar cell sensitized by PDAAP4, having both short carboxyl groups CH2COOH and long alkyl groups C4H9, exhibited the IPCE maximum of 73% at 670 nm and overall energy conversion efficiency η of 3.06%, representing the highest IPCE and η values so far in dialkylaminophenyl-based organic dye-sensitized semiconductor solar cells. Taking advantage of the highly efficient sensitizing ability of PDAAP4 in far-red region, the data of IPCE above 630 nm of the solar cells were improved greatly by cosensitization with both N3 and PDAAP4. The influences of the TiO2 film thickness and the concentration of 4-tert-butylpyridine （TBP） in electrolyte were also investigated.

本文报道新的Ｔｗｅｅｚｅｒ（１）的合成，用＾１ＨＮＭＲ研究了新的Ｔｗｅｅｚｅｒ分子和对硝基苯甲酸盐的配位效应，结果表明它兴通过氢键，静电引力和芳环夹心堆叠作用而自动缔合。     

2-取代吡啶半菁染料的无溶剂微波合成及光谱性质的理论研究

在微波促进无溶剂条件下, 由N-甲基-2-甲基吡啶碘盐与取代芳香醛在哌啶作用下合成了一系列2-取代的吡啶半菁染料, 产物结构由元素分析, ¹H NMR, MS, IR, UV得到确认. 该方法操作简便, 收率高. 在此基础上, 对N-甲 基-2-(p-N,N-二甲氨基-苯乙烯基)吡啶半菁染料的光谱性质进行了理论计算.     

A novel indicator series for measuring pKa values in acetonitrile

A series of substituted azobenzene dyes was found to span a range of 8 pK_a units in acetonitrile. The UV absorption spectra of the dyes are responsive to protonation, changing in both absorption maximum and intensity. These characteristics make the dyes useful as indicators for the measurement of pK_a values of neutral organic bases that absorb in the visible region of the spectrum.

研究了离子排斥色谱法分离测定啤酒和白葡萄酒中有机酸；选用常见的盐酸溶液作淋洗液，以四丁基氢氧化铵为再生液，考察了淋洗液浓度、流量等因素对分离和测定的影响，对啤酒和白葡萄酒中常见有机酸在阴离子排斥色谱柱上的保留行为进行了系统的研究；通过试验确定最佳的色谱条件为盐酸浓度1．10mmol/L，流量0．80mL/min；四丁基氢氧化铵浓度5.0mmol/L，流量1.10mL/min；并在该条件下，测定了啤酒和白葡萄酒中的有机酸。     

Drying agents for water-free introduction of desorption solvent into a GC after on-line SPE of aqueous samples

Summary A small cartridge containing a drying agent is inserted between a solid phase extraction (SPE) column and a gas chromatograph (GC) to enable the introduction of water-free desorption solvent into the GC in on-line liquid chromatography (LC)-type enrichment of trace-level analytes from water samples. Some characteristics of the drying agents, such as their capacity to retain water and their re-usability after heating, have been tested. Possible interactions of the drying agent with the analytes, e.g., irreversible adsorption or catalyzed degradation, have been checked for a wide range of alkanes, alkylbenzenes chlorobenzenes, chlorophenols and phthalate esters. Using the on-line SPE-GC system with flame ionization detection (FID) and spiked samples containing different levels of the test compounds, the repeatability was shown to be satisfactory (6–17%). For 10 mL samples, the detection limits were lower than 0.1 g/L. The on-line SPE-GC-FID system here presented can be used for the repeated analysis of water samples without exchange of the dyring cartridge. The technique is applied to the analysis of tap water.
