Thiosemicarbazide lithium chloride [TSLC] a new semiorganic nonlinear optical crystal has been synthesized. Single crystals by TSLC have been grown by slow evaporation solution growth technique at room temperature. Chemical composition of the synthesized material was confirmed by elemental analysis. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of the grown crystal has been studied. Functional groups present in the materials were identified by FT IR spectral analysis ranging between 4000 and 450 cm−1. The optical transmission was studied through UV-vis spectrophotometer. Thermal analysis is carried out on the crystal and inferred to be stable at 176 °C. The second harmonic generation (SHG) of the TSLC crystal was confirmed using Nd:YAG laser and also fluorescence spectral analysis is carried out for the TSLC crystal. 相似文献

Wide band-gap BeZnO layers were grown on Al2O3 (0 0 0 1) substrate using radio-frequency magnetron co-sputtering. The rate of BexZn1−xO crystallized as a hexagonal structure was x=0.2. From the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement, the O–Zn bonds relating the crystal structure and the Be–O bonds related to the deviation of the stoichiometry in the BeZnO layer were caught at 530.4 and 531.7 eV in the O 1s spectrum, respectively. Thus, the observance on the Be 1s peak of 113.2 eV associated with the bonding Be–O indicates that the sputtered Be atoms are substituted for the host-lattice site in ZnO. This Be–O bonding shows a relatively low intense and broadening spectrum caused by large fluctuation of Be content in the BeZnO layer. From the photoluminescence and transmittance measurement, the free exciton and the neutral donor-bound exciton (D0, X) emissions were observed at 3.7692 and 3.7313 eV, respectively, and an average transmittance rate over 95% was achieved in a wide ultraviolet (UV)–visible region. Also, the binding energy for the (D0, X) emission was extracted to be 37.9 meV. Through the wide band-gap material BeZnO, we may open some possibilities for fabricating a ZnO-based UV light-emitting diode to be utilized as a barrier layer comprised of the ZnO/BeZnO quantum well structure and/or an UV light emitting material itself. 相似文献

A new organic compound of bis-glycine maleate was synthesized in the alkaline medium of 10% ammonium hydroxide solution. The bulk single crystals of Bis-Glycine Maleate (BGM) have been grown by slow cooling method. The grown crystals were characterized by employing single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, optical absorption spectral studies and thermo gravimetric analysis. The microhardness studies confirmed that the BGM has a fairly high Vicker’s hardness number value (41 kg mm−2) in comparison to other organic NLO crystals. Second harmonic generation efficiency of the crystal measured by Kurtz–Perry powder method using Nd:YAG laser is found to be comparable to that of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP). Neodymium phosphate single crystals, NdPO4, have been grown by a flux growth method using Li2CO3-2MoO3 as a flux. The as-grown crystals were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRPD), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG) techniques. The results show that the as-grown crystals were well crystallized. The crystal was stable over the temperature range from 26 to 1200 °C in N2. The specific heat of NdPO4 crystal at room temperature was 0.41 J/g °C. The absorption and the fluorescence spectra of NdPO4 crystal were also measured at room temperature. 相似文献

This work presents an experimental study on the identification and quantification of different types of dislocations in GaN grown by low-pressure solution growth. A reliable defect selective etching procedure in a NaOH-KOH melt is developed and validated using transmission electron microscopy that permits to define groups of etch pits that belong each to dislocations with a specific Burgers vector. This way a comparably fast method is provided for determining the total, the specific dislocation densities and the type of dislocation in a statistically representative way. This study focuses on ultrasound-assisted anti-solvent crystallization of lactose, expanding on previous studies and presenting, for the first time, the results of large scale implementation of sonocrystallization for lactose. The results further clarify the interplay between solution chemistry – namely the role of β-lactose – and crystallization, representing a step forward in the fine tuning of lactose properties for pharmaceutical manufacturing applications. Chebyshev systems induce in a natural way a concept of convexity. The functions convex in this sense behave in many aspects similarly to ordinary convex functions. In this paper support-type properties are investigated. Using osculatory interpolation, the existence of support-like functions is established for functions convex with respect to Chebyshev systems.
