Emission characteristics of a glow discharge plasma based on a mixture of helium with chlorine molecules

We present the results of a study of the emission characteristics of a longitudinal glow discharge based on a mixture of helium and chlorine. Study of the emission characteristics of the discharge showed that it emits most efficiently in the bands of the chlorine molecule with maxima at 200 nm and 258 nm in an He-Cl₂ mixture (P = 0.2–0.3 kPa). We present the optimization of the average emission power of a UV emitter as a function of the glow discharge parameters, the pressure, and the composition of the working gas mixture. Based on solution of the Boltzmann equation for the electron energy distribution function in a discharge based on the optimal mixture (according to experimental data), we calculated the power losses per unit pressure going toward elementary processes, the electron transport characteristics, the ionization and attachment coefficients as a function of the parameter E/P. The calculated parameters of the plasma for the UV emitter allowed us to provide a basis for the qualitative pattern of physicochemical processes in the studied plasma. __________ Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 75, No. 1, pp. 121–124, January–February, 2008.     

Exciplex emission in the blend of two blue luminescent materials

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) based on the blend of two blue luminescent materials N,N′-bis(1-naphthyl)-N,N′-diphenyl-1,1′-diphenyl-4,4′-diamine (NPB) and 2-(4-biphenylyl)-5(4-tert-butyl-phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBD) were fabricated. The electroluminescence (EL) spectra of this device showed a new emission that is different from their intrinsic exciton emission. Compared with the photoluminescence (PL) spectra of single layer NPB and PBD, respectively, there was an apparent red shift in that of their blend. Thus the exciplex formation in the blend can be concluded due to the similar emission in both PL and EL spectra. The exciplex formation process and the effect of applied voltage were analyzed by Gaussian fitting.     

The transient suppression for piezoelectric ceramic emission transducer

A transient suppression method for piezoelectric ceramic transducer is presented. By adding some special pedestal pulses to the original transmitted signal, the transient effects in the output of the transducer can be just precisely transmission by use of a narrowband transducer. canceled, thereby achieving the broadband The experimental results show that the transient responses of the sinusoid pulses and coded signals are suppressed successfully and the acoustic waveforms radiated into the surrounding water are improved significantly.     

姿态倾斜对时-空联合调制型干涉成像光谱仪成像质量的影响

时空联合调制型干涉成像光谱仪获取的像面干涉图是带有干涉条纹的二维空间图像,具有对姿态变化敏感的特点.根据该类仪器的成像过程,在竖直摄影时,相邻两帧像面干涉图之间的像移量为一列像元;偏离竖直摄影时,由于像面干涉图的几何变形或旋转,会引入非正常像移.利用共线方程导出了这一非正常像移量的表达式.利用仿真计算说明:这一非正常像移会在像面干涉图序列中不断积累,导致提取出的物体干涉信息失真.在竖直摄影而平台指向精度较低、倾斜摄影、探测器阵列的安装方向精度较低或者航空成像且存在偏流角时,必须对像面干涉图进行有效校正,才能保证最终反演出的物体光谱的真实性.     

LED照明的光栅光调制器光学特性分析与实验

针对一种新型的光凋制器--光栅光调制器,研究用LED作为其照明光源时对光学调制特性的影响.以部分相干光理论为依据,结合MATLAB仿真,推导出用LED照明光栅光调制器时,光源带宽对成像对比度具有较大的影响,通过滤色片将光源带宽减小到13 nm时,像面上的对比度约为150,进一步减小带宽至10 nm,对比度将达到225.光源的尺寸在与光源到光栅光调制器之间的距离相比小于0.03时,对光栅光调制器的光学信息处理不会有影响,并通过实验加以证实,从而说明采用LED作为光栅光调制器照明光源的可行性.     

碱金属氟化物对掺Yb~(3+)氟磷酸盐玻璃析晶稳定性和光谱性质的影响

研究了碱金属氟化物对掺Yb3 氟磷玻璃的光谱性质和析晶稳定性能的影响.运用倒易法计算了Yb3 的发射截面.结果显示,LiF的引入对吸收和发射截面的提高作用较大并出现最佳引入量极值,其次为KF.碱金属氟化物的引入可提高二元体系的析晶稳定性能,使玻璃网络结构得到改善;拉曼光谱显示二元体系中引入YbF<,3>后玻璃网络结构得到增强,而在引入碱金属氟化物的三元体系中掺杂YbF<,3>后破坏了网络完整性,降低系统析晶稳定性能.     

Optical signal quality metric based on statistical moments and Laguerre expansion

A new and straightforward optical signal quality metric, which is based on the approximation of the analytical probability density function by its Laguerre expansion, is proposed. This expansion uses statistical moments to approximate the true statistics, but, unlike the well-known Gaussian approximation, higher order moments can be used as well. The quality of the proposed metric is discussed and the metric is compared with the Gaussian approximation. It is shown that the new metric provides not only a good estimation of the bit error rate in the range of practical interest but, contrary to the Gaussian approximation, correctly estimates optimum decision threshold and accurately pictures the shape of the noise distribution.     

Stimulated emission of free excitons in Cd1−xMnxTe under nonresonant two-photon excitation

We report on free excitons coexisting with exciton magnetic polarons (EMPs) in bulk semimagnetic semiconductors of Cd_1−xMn_xTe for 0.04?x?0.36 at 2 K under nonresonant two-photon excitation. This two-photon excitation not only generates free excitons but also more efficiently creates EMPs compared with ordinary one-photon excitation. Stimulated emission from free excitons is demonstrated under strong two-photon excitation.     

激光诱导Co等离子体电子温度的时间空间演化特性研究

本文在380～500 nm波长范围内测定了激光烧蚀Co等离子体中Co原子的时间和空间分辨发射光谱.由发射光谱线的强度和Stark展宽分别计算了等离子体电子温度和电子密度,并由实验结果讨论了激光等离子体中电子温度的时间和空间演化特性.实验结果表明,当延时在100～1000 ns范围内变化时,相应的电子温度Te范围为8000～25000 K;当距离靶表面0～1.8 mm范围内变化时,相应的电子温度Te范围为13000～25000 K,电子温度在激光束方向上的分布具有很好的对称性.
