Current in heterogeneous tunnel junctions is studied in the framework of the parabolic conduction-band model. The developed model of the electron tunneling takes explicitly into account the difference of effective masses between ferromagnetic and insulating layers and between conduction subbands. Calculations for Fe/MgO/Fe-like structures have shown the essential impact of effective mass differences in regions (constituents) of the structure on the tunnel magnetoresistance of the junction.  相似文献

In most of the numerical approaches proposed for modeling high-intensity plasma-arcs, the effects of turbulence on the arc structure are often excluded because of the intricate physics originating from the interaction of turbulent scales, high-temperature gas dynamics, magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and chemical kinetics. The goal of this study is threefold: to develop a generic turbulent MHD model to simulate free-burning arc discharges, to validate the code with available experimental data, and to investigate the effect of an external field and turbulent cross flow on the free-burning arc configuration. The governing equations are solved in conservative form using a hybrid scheme that combines a high-order monotonic upwind scheme with a second-order central scheme. The fluid and MHD turbulence are resolved using a large eddy simulation (LES) approach with a recently developed sub-grid closure model. An implicit scheme is used to compute the magnetic diffusion term appearing in the magnetic induction equation to alleviate the severe time-step constraint. The comparison of the model prediction with experimental data for Argon arcs at different current intensities shows generally good agreement. When an external field is applied, the overall shape of the free-burning arc drastically changes. The straightening of the arc indicates the potential for stabilization of a free-burning arc by magnetic forces. Even though the turbulence is significantly attenuated as a result of the thermal expansion near the cathode, it adds an unsteady characteristic to the arc and, in general, has a negative impact on the stabilization of the electrical discharge.  相似文献

Surfaces of three types of CuZr-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) were modified by laser surface treatment (LST), and the influence of the treatment on structure and mechanical properties of these alloys was investigated. The phase structure of as-cast and laser-treated samples was characterized by XRD and the morphology of the alloys after fracture was examined by SEM. The compressive plasticity of treated Cu47.5Zr47.5Al5 and Cu46.5Zr47.5Al5Co1 BMGs can be improved from 0.5% to 2.0% and from 1.2% to 5.7% respectively compared with the as-cast ones, while (Cu0.55Zr0.40Al0.05)99Er1 BMG shows insignificant change of plasticity. The improvement in plasticity is attributed to induced crystallization of B2 CuZr phase in the treated surface zone of selected metallic glasses.  相似文献

This paper investigates the nonlinear control problem for flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicles (FAHVs). The coupling dynamics between flexible and rigid-body parts of FAHVs may cause degradation of control performance or high-frequency oscillations of control input and flexible state. In this paper, the flexible effects produced by the coupling are modeled as a kind of unknown disturbance and included in the new control-design model, for which a coupling observer is constructed to estimate these effects. Thus, a novel nonlinear composite control strategy, which combines a coupling-observer-based feedforward compensator and a dynamic-inversion-based feedback controller, is proposed to reject the flexible effects on pitch rate and track desired trajectories of velocity and flight-path angle. The stability of composite closed-loop system is analyzed by using the Lyapunov theory. Simulation results on a full nonlinear model of FAHVs demonstrate that the presented controller is more effective by comparison with the previous scheme.  相似文献

This paper presents the thickness-shear (TSh) vibration modes of an infinite circular AT-cut quartz resonator with ring electrodes. By application of 2D scalar differential equations derived by Tiersten and Smythe, we obtain the resonant frequencies and vibration amplitude distributions of thickness-shear modes in the resonator. The theoretical results have been verified in commercial FEM software COMSOL. Through numerical examples, we illustrate that the distribution of displacement fields in the center part of the ring electrode is adjustable. Furthermore, we optimize the size of the electrodes and the mass ratio of the electrode to the plate, in order to achieve a nearly uniform displacement distribution and mass sensitivity of the resonator. These results can be a theoretical guidance for design and optimization of sensors based on quartz resonators.  相似文献

Isogeometric analysis (IGA) with the polynomial splines over hierarchical T-meshes (PHT-splines) is used to provide an efficient tool capable of carrying out the vibration and buckling analyses of the stiffened laminates. IGA offers increased accuracy and efficiency using the PHT-splines, which represent exact geometry of the stiffeners and make the refinement more flexible near the areas where the stiffeners and composite plate are connected. Numerical examples are given to validate the correctness and superiority of the present method, comparing with the results from existing literatures and commercial softwares. Besides, the influences of the orientation, curvature, location and cross-section size of the stiffeners on the natural frequencies and buckling loads are also studied. The results show that the optimization of the shape and size of the stiffeners has an important effect on the vibration and buckling characteristics of stiffened laminates.  相似文献
