We present a new method for the generation of rotationally and vibrationally state-selected, translationally cold molecular ions in ion traps. Our technique is based on the state-selective threshold photoionization of neutral molecules followed by sympathetic cooling of the resulting ions with laser-cooled calcium ions. Using N?(+) ions as a test system, we achieve >90% selectivity in the preparation of the ground rovibrational level and state lifetimes on the order of 15 minutes limited by collisions with background-gas molecules. The technique can be employed to produce a wide range of apolar and polar molecular ions in the ground and excited rovibrational states. Our approach opens up new perspectives for cold quantum-controlled ion-molecule-collision studies, frequency-metrology experiments with state-selected molecular ions and molecular-ion qubits. 相似文献

A spectrum sliced microwave photonic signal processor structure, which is all-fiber based and features simplicity, together with the ability to realize tunability, reconfigurability, bipolar taps, and multiple-tap rf filtering, is presented. It is based on thermally controlled optical slicing filters induced into two linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings. Elastic-plastic analyses on the residual stresses and curvature of the film/substrate bilayer system
During thermal cycling, the residual stresses are often generated in the film/substrate bilayer due to the material mismatch between the substrate and the film. If the thickness of the film is relatively high, the thermal residual stresses in it may be of different signs. When the film is subjected to elastic-plastic deformation, two plastic zones with different thicknesses may be generated in the film at a significantly high temperature difference. In this paper, a theoretical model which reflects the complete history of thermal residual stresses and curvatures in the elastoplastic film/substrate bilayer system is developed. Solutions are derived to estimate the residual stresses and curvature in the film as functions of temperature difference. The case of Al/Si system is used to illustrate the implementation of this model. Results show that the critical temperature difference at which the second plastic zone near the film surface is generated near the Al film surface is dependent on the film thickness. The strain hardening of the film has an obvious influence on the magnitude of residual stresses within the film at high temperature difference. 相似文献

Some sufficient conditions for the exponential ergodicity are presented by using the theory of M-matrix, coupling method and Lyapunov function method. A trust-region sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method is developed and analyzed for the solution of smooth equality constrained optimization problems. The trust-region SQP algorithm is based on filter line search technique and a composite-step approach, which decomposes the overall step as sum of a vertical step and a horizontal step. The algorithm includes critical modifications of horizontal step computation. One orthogonal projective matrix of the Jacobian of constraint functions is employed in trust-region subproblems. The orthogonal projection gives the null space of the transposition of the Jacobian of the constraint function. Theoretical analysis shows that the new algorithm retains the global convergence to the first-order critical points under rather general conditions. For the two-dimensional Magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)boundary layer system,it has been shown that the non-degenerate tangential magnetic field leads to the well-posedness in Sobolev spaces and high Reynolds number limits without any monotonicity condition on the velocity field in our previous works.This paper aims to show that sufficient degeneracy in the tangential magnetic field at a non-degenerate critical point of the tangential velocity field of shear flow indeed yields instability as for the classical Prandtl equations without magnetic field studied by G′erard-Varet and Dormy(2010).This partially shows the necessity of the non-degeneracy in the tangential magnetic field for the stability of the boundary layer of MHD in 2D at least in Sobolev spaces. 相似文献
