A flow injection-catalytic spectrophotometric method using a serial flow cell was proposed for the successive determination of trace amounts of copper and iron. This method is based on the oxidation coupling of p-anisidine with N,N-dimethylaniline in the presence of hydrogen peroxide to form a dye, which has an absorption maximum at 740 nm. In this indicator reaction, ligands such as 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and diphosphate were achieved to improve the sensitivity and selectivity. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the determinable ranges were 0.05-5 ppb for copper and 0.5 - 100 ppb for iron, respectively. The RSDs (n = 10) were 0.78% for 0.5 ppb copper(II) and 0.5% for 200 ppb iron(III). The sample throughput was 30 h(-1). The present flow-injection method was applied to the determination of copper and iron in standard river water, tap water, and other natural water samples, and also to the analysis of labile and inert complexes in synthesized samples containing humic acid with copper(II) or iron(III).  相似文献

Eleven ferrocene derivatives bearing the MM (M = Si and/or Ge) substituent bonded directly to the ring have been found to undergo alcoholysis at the MM linkage in the presence of either ferric chloride or ferricenium tetrachloroferrate. It is suggested that the oxidation-reduction process between the ferrocene derivatives and ferric ions gives rise to the corresponding substituted ferricenium ions, which, in turn may readily undergo a nucleophilic attack by alcohol at the adjacent highly polarized MM bond. The reaction is thus very similar to the acid-catalyzed alcoholysis of these ferrocene derivatives.  相似文献

A new method providing enhanced sensitivity for the analysis of oligonucleotides using an on-line coupled system of reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) and electrospray ionization ion-trap mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) has been developed. The presented method allows the use of the standard gradient elution of 0.1 M triethylammonium acetate (TEAA) buffer (adjusted to pH 7.0 with acetic acid) and acetonitrile that is typically used for the separation of oligonucleotides in RP-HPLC. An added feature of this method is the ability to combine and mix additional 0.1 M imidazole in acetonitrile after the separation column for improved ESI-MS performance. This is similar to the post-column reaction method in liquid chromatography (LC) and the liquid sheath flow method in LC/ESI-MS, both of which offer the advantage of not compromising the chromatographic separation conditions. The application of this new method is demonstrated to afford improved sensitivity for the analysis of oligonucleotides (20-50 mer) via on-line coupled HPLC/ESI-MS analysis and purification systems.  相似文献

The kinetics of hole transfer in DNA by adenine-hopping mechanism was investigated by the combined pulse radiolysis-laser flash photolysis method. The hole transfer from Ptz*+* to oxG across the (A)n-bridge preceded by the A-hopping mechanism and the weak distance-dependent hole transfer with the rates faster than 108 s-1 over the distance range of 7-22 A was demonstrated. In contrast, hole transfer from oxG*+ to Ptz followed the single-step super exchange mechanism. Thus, two different processes for the hole transfer across the identical (A)n-bridge in DNA have been demonstrated. The results clearly show that the mechanism of hole transfer in DNA strongly depends on the redox nature of the oxidant, whether it produces only G*+ or both A*+ and G*+.  相似文献

Aliphatic amines, such as n-hexylamine (primary), di-n-hexylamine (secondary) and tri-n-hexylamine (tertiary amine), react with tetrabromophenolphthalein ethyl ester molecules (TBPEH) to form reddish or red-violet charge-transfer complexes (CT complexes) in 1,2-dichloroethane (DCE). The absorption maxima of the CT complexes with all primary amines occur at around 560 nm, with secondary amines at 570 nm and, with tertiary amines at 580 nm. The CT complex formation constants with TBPEH in DCE increase in the order of the primary, secondary and tertiary amines, but their constants decrease quantitatively with an increase in temperature. This phenomenon (thermochromism) could be applied to the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of primary amine and secondary amine, or secondary amine and tertiary amine in a mixed solution utilizing the difference of absorbance with temperature changes.  相似文献

Methoxybenzyl protecting groups of alcohols were readily and efficiently removed with DDQ in CH2Cl2-H2O at room temperature. Under these neutral conditions, other usual protecting groups, isopropylidene, methoxymethyl, benzyloxymethyl, tetrahydropyranyl, acetyl, t-butyldimethylsilyl, benzyl, benzoyl, and tosyl, as well as functional groups, epoxide, double bond, and ketone, were remained unchanged.  相似文献

The size, distribution, and number of PTFE particles formed by radiation-induced emulsifier-free polymerization were measured by electron microscope and automatic particle analyzer (centrifugation method). From the electron micrographs we found that the particles are formed within 5 min. The change in the number of polymer particles (np) with reaction time (t) depends on the relative concentration of growing polymer chains to stabilizing species produced by the radiolysis of water and monomer; that is, it was governed by TFE pressure/dose rate ratio and classified into three cases: case I, dnp/dt = 0 (e.g., at 3 × 104 rad/hr and 20 kg/cm2); case II, dnp/dt < 0 (e.g., at dose rate below 1.9 × 104 rad/hr and 20 kg/cm2); case III, dnp/dt > 0 (e.g., at 3 × 104 rad/hr and 2 kg/cm2). The polymer molecular weight above 106 is almost independent of the particle size. The polymerization loci are mainly on the surface of polymer particles dispersed in the aqueous phase in cases I and II except in the initial stage. In case III new particles are formed successively during polymerization. Therefore the polymerization loci are mainly in the aqueous phase. Especially in case I, we concluded that after the generation of particles the propagation proceeds mainly on the surface of polymer particles like the core shell model proposed by Granico and Williams.  相似文献

Melting and crystallization behavior of polytetrafluoroethylene as polymerized in emulsion and suspension is shown to depend on molecular weight. DSC heating curves for virgin PTFE with low molecular weight below 3 × 105 have a single peak, whereas curves for higher molecular weight samples have double peaks. With increasing heating rate the areas of higher melting peaks become larger than the lower melting peaks. The morphology of polymer exhibiting double melting peaks is mainly folded ribbons or granular particles. The phenomenon of double melting is explained on the basis of two different crystalline states which correspond to the “fold regions” and the “linear segments” in a folded ribbon. The melting temperature of virgin PTFE is almost constant at ca. 330°C for molecular weights below 1 × 106, and rises as the molecular weight increases above 1 × 106. The heat of melting of virgin PTFE is nearly independent of molecular weight. On the basis of these results, we propose a model for melting and crystallization of low and high molecular weight PTFE and for the crystal structure.  相似文献
