On the thermophoresis of a spheroidal solid aerosol particle

The steady motion of a spheroidal aerosol particle with inner nonuniformly distributed heat sources (sinks) that is placed in an external temperature gradient is theoretically studied in the Stokes approximation. The mean temperature of the particle surface is assumed to differ slightly from that of the gaseous environment. An analytic expression for the force and rate of thermophoresis are found by solving the gas-dynamic equations in view of the motion of the environment.     

新型菲涅尔线聚光太阳电池组件特性分析

以PMMA为材料,采用热压成型工艺加工线聚焦菲涅尔聚光棱镜,对在其聚光条件下不同入射角度情况下太阳电池的电流电压特性进行测试,结果表明:该菲涅尔线聚焦棱镜能有效提高太阳电池的单位输出功率,而且具有比较宽泛的集光角的特性,基本满足实际应用的要求.

On the factors governing the minimum size of light beams during self-focusing

The final stage of self-focusing of 500-ps pulses of a neodymium laser in silicate and phosphate glasses and in the nonlinear liquids perfluorooctane, benzene, and toluene is studied theoretically and experimentally. The formation of spatial solitons, which are stable due to the nonlinearity saturation, is demonstrated. It is found that the intensity of the nonlinearity saturation is close to that of the threshold breakdown for glasses and the role of stimulated Raman scattering is significant for liquids.     

Effect of superfluidity on the structure of the inner crust of neutron stars

A self-consistent, completely quantum calculation of the structure of the inner crust of neutron stars is carried out in the Wigner-Seitz approximation with a realistic phenomenological nuclear energy functional, where pair correlations of neutrons and protons are included in the explicit form. It has been shown that the superfluidity of neutrons and protons affects the structure of the ground state of the crust.     

Recording and decay of transient gratings in a system of saturable three-level centers

The kinetics of formation and relaxation of transient holographic gratings recorded in a system of saturable three-level centers is studied. Distortions in the shape of the profile of recorded and decaying structures of population and of the refractive index are taken into account. The analysis of the time dependences of diffraction efficiencies of different orders is performed for phase (thermal) and amplitude (concentration) gratings.     

Vanadium(III) chloride catalyzed Biginelli condensation: solution phase library generation of dihydropyrimidin-(2H)-ones

The three component condensation of an aldehyde, a β-keto ester and urea (thiourea) in the presence of a catalytic amount of VCl₃ is disclosed for the solution phase synthesis of dihydropyrimidinones. The ease of synthesis and work-up allowed the parallel synthesis of a 48-membered library of dihydropyrimidinones quickly and efficiently in good yields.     

Fourier-Feynman transform, convolution and first variation

We examine several interesting relationships and expressions involving Fourier-Feynman transform, convolution product and first variation for functionals in the Fresnel class F(B) of an abstract Wiener space B. We also prove a translation theorem and Parseval's identity for the analytic Feynman integral. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.

扩展了最近提出的F展开方法以构造非线性演化方程更多的精确解, 即将F展开法中的一阶非线性常微分方程和单变量的有限幂级数代之以类似的一阶常微分方程组和两个变量的有限幂级数,这两个变量是一阶常微分方程组的解分量.作为例子, 用扩展的F展开法解非线性Schr(o)dinger方程,得到了很丰富的包络形式的精确解,特别是以两个不同的Jacobi椭圆函数表示的解.显然,扩展的F展开方法也可以解其他类型的非线性演化方程.
