The magnetic properties of polycrystalline PrRh2Si2 sample have been investigated by neutron diffraction measurements. Antiferromagnetic transition with an anomalously high ordering temperature (TN∼68 K) is clearly observed in magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, electrical resistivity and neutron diffraction measurements. Neutron diffraction study shows that Pr3+ ions carry an ordered moment of 2.99(7)μB/Pr3+ and align along the crystallographic±c-directions for the ions located at the (0,0,0) and positions. The magnetoresistance at 2 K and 10 T is rather large (∼35%).  相似文献

In this paper a qualocation method is analysed for parabolicpartial differential equations in one space dimension. Thismethod may be described as a discrete H1-Galerkin method inwhich the discretization is achieved by approximating the integralsby a composite Gauss quadrature rule. An O (h4-i) rate of convergencein the Wi.p norm for i = 0, 1 and 1 p is derived for a semidiscretescheme without any quasi-uniformity assumption on the finiteelement mesh. Further, an optimal error estimate in the H2 normis also proved. Finally, the linearized backward Euler methodand extrapolated Crank-Nicolson scheme are examined and analysed.  相似文献

This study reports a detailed analysis of an electrode material containing poly(phenolphthalein), carbon nanotubes and gold nanoparticles which shows superior catalytic effect towards to hydrazine oxidation in Britton–Robinson buffer (pH 10.0). Glassy carbon electrode was modified by electropolymerization of phenolphthalein (PP) monomer (poly(PP)/GCE) and the multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was dropped on the surface. This modified surface was electrodeposited with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs/CNT/poly(PP)/GCE). The fabricated electrode was analysed the determination of hydrazine using cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry and amperometry. The peak potential of hydrazine oxidation on bare GCE, poly(PP)/GCE, CNT/GCE, CNT/poly(PP)/GCE, and AuNPs/CNT/poly(PP)/GCE were observed at 596 mV, 342 mV, 320 mV, 313 mV, and 27 mV, respectively. A shift in the overpotential to more negative direction and an enhancement in the peak current indicated that the AuNPs/CNT/poly(PP)/GC electrode presented an efficient electrocatalytic activity toward oxidation of hydrazine. Modified electrodes were characterized with High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Amperometric current responses in the low hydrazine concentration range of 0.25–13 µM at the AuNPs/CNT/poly(PP)/GCE. The limit of detection (LOD) value was obtained to be 0.083 µM. A modified electrode was applied to naturel samples for hydrazine determination.  相似文献

A semi-organic nonlinear optical single crystal of bis thiourea sodium iodide (BTSI) has been successfully grown from aqueous solution using the slow evaporation solvent technique (SEST) at room temperature. Obtained crystals using the SEST method were characterized by using different characterization techniques. Structural studies of the grown crystals have been carried out by single-crystal XRD to confirm the crystal system and functional groups by FT-IR spectroscopy. Single-crystal XRD reveals orthorhombic structure of semi-organic BTSI single crystals and its unit cell parameters. Metal complex coordination of the single crystal is studied by FT-IR spectroscopy. The optical absorption study revealed excellent optical transparency of BTSI crystal in the entire visible region with a sharp lower cutoff wavelength 298 nm. The energy band gap of BTSI is found to be 4.16 eV. Thermal stability and thermal decomposition of BTSI single crystals were investigated by TGA–DTA and DSC analysis. The surface appearance of BTSI crystals by scanning electron microscopy reveals the formation of layer growth pattern. The structural perfection and growth features of the grown crystal were analyzed by wet chemical etching studies. The above studies reveal the effect of incorporation of sodium iodide into the lattice of thiourea crystals. The as-grown BTSI single crystals can be used as a potential candidate for NLO material as well as in electronic and optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Metal (Cd2+ and Cu2+) substituted single crystals of Bis(thiourea) zinc chloride (BTZC) are grown by slow solvent evaporation technique, with the vision to improve the physicochemical properties of the sample. Single crystal XRD studies of both pure and doped samples are carried out and the results are compared. Optical absorption and FTIR studies are performed to identify the UV cut‐off range and the presence of various functional groups in the grown crystals. The thermogravimetric (TG) analysis of metal doped BTZC indicates a marginal increase in the thermal stability of the crystals. The dielectric response of the samples have been studied in the frequency range 100 Hz to 5 MHz at room temperature and the results are discussed. We examine using Monte Carlo simulations, photon transport in optically ‘thin’ slabs whose thickness L is only a few times the transport mean free path l*, with particles of different scattering anisotropies. The confined geometry causes an auto-selection of only photons with looping paths to remain within the slab. The results of the Monte Carlo simulations are borne out by our analytical treatment that incorporates directional persistence by the use of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process, which interpolates between the short time ballistic and long time diffusive regimes.  相似文献

Obliquely propagating altra-low-frequency dust-electromagnetic waves in a self-gravitating, warm, magnetized, two fluid dusty plasma system have been investigated. Two special cases, namely, dust-Alfvén mode propagating parallel to the external magnetic field and dustmagnetosonic mode propagating perpendicular to the external magnetic field have also been considered. It has been shown that effects of self-gravitational field, dust fluid temperature, and obliqueness significantly modify the dispersion properties of these ultra-low-frequency dust-electromagnetic modes. It is also found that in parallel propagating dust-Alfvén mode these effects play no role, but in obliquely propagating dust-Alfvén mode or perpendicular propagating dust-magnetosonic mode the effect of self-gravitational field plays destabilizing role whereas the effect of dust/ion fluid temperature plays stabilizing role.  相似文献

Effects of doping YBa2Cu3O7-δ with Mg and Zn on its crystallographic structure and superconducting behaviour have been investigated. Orthorhombic structure is retained upto Mg/Cu ratio of 0.12 (the highest investigated here), but Tc decreases rapidly with the level of Mg-doping. The effects produced by Mg-doping are very similar to those due to Zn-doping investigated by the present authors as well as by others. Neutron diffraction measurements have been carried out on two substituted materials: YBa2Cu2.82Mg0.18O7-δ and YBa2Cu2.82Zn0.18O7-δ. Both Mg- and Zn-dopants show strong tendency of occupying Cu(II)-sites in the unit cell. In the case of Mg-doping, however, a strikingly different feature is the concomitant depletion of oxygen at the O3-sites by an amount nearly equal to the Mg-concentration.  相似文献
