HILBERTIAN INVARIANCE PRINCIPLE FOR EMPIRICAL PROCESS ASSOCIATED WITH A MARKOV PROCESS

The authors establish the Hilbertian invariance principle for the empirical process of a stationary Markov process, by extending the forward-backward martingale decomposition of Lyons-Meyer-Zheng to the Hilbert space valued additive functionals associated with general non-reversible Markov processes.     

Novel optical film sensor design based on p-polarized reflectance

A new scheme of optical film sensor is presented. The sensor is based on p-polarized reflectance, consisting of a sensing coated substrate, is easily optimized for maximum sensitivity in different applications. The resolutions of refractive index n_f, extinction coefficient k_f and thickness h_f of the sensitive films are predicted to be 10⁻⁷, 10⁻⁵ and 10⁻³ nm, respectively. Experimentally, we selected the sol–gel derived SnO₂ films as gas-sensitive films and conducted preliminary gas-sensing test. The results indicate that novel optical film sensor scheme has higher sensitivity, and the detection sensitivity is available to 10⁻¹ ppm on the condition of optimum optical parameters and incident angle.     

Investigation of charge effects on poling and stability for corona-poled polymer films

The optimal corona-poling temperature of polymer films was accurately determined by measuring the temperature dependence of the in situ second-harmonic (SH) intensity profile under the applied poling electric field. The in situ SH intensity profile was first measured by probing both the surface voltages and the poling currents induced by surface/space charges for the corona-poled polymer films. Moreover, charge effects on the stability of the chromophore orientation were first studied by using the thermally stimulated discharge-current technique. 酞菁钴薄膜的折射率及吸收特性

通过真空镀法在单晶硅片上制备了酞菁钴薄膜，在波长扫描和入射角可变全自动椭圆偏振光谱仪上研究了ＣｏＰｃ薄膜的椭偏光谱并分析了其电子结构。     

一些高Tc超导体的弹性性质

 本文用超声相比较方法测定了高T_c超导体La_1.85Sr_0.15CuO₄，La₂CuO₄和YBa₂Cu₃O₇的纵波和横波声速，进而导出了它们的纵向模量、切变模量、杨氏模量、泊松比、德拜温度及定体比热。在La_1.85Sr_0.15CuO₄样品上，还进行了压力实验，发现所有弹性模量都是随压强增加而增加。定体比热c_V和泊松比σ在高压下则略有下降。德拜温度是随压强增加而增加的。     

Symmetric Hilbert spaces arising from species of structures

Symmetric Hilbert spaces such as the bosonic and the fermionic Fock spaces over some lsquo;one particle space’ are formed by certain symmetrization procedures performed on the full Fock space. We investigate alternative ways of symmetrization by building on Joyal's notion of a combinatorial species. Any such species F gives rise to an endofunctor of the category of Hilbert spaces with contractions mapping a Hilbert space to a symmetric Hilbert space with the same symmetry as the species F. A general framework for annihilation and creation operators on these spaces is developed, and compared to the generalised Brownian motions of R. Speicher and M. Bożejko. As a corollary we find that the commutation relation with admits a realization on a symmetric Hilbert space whenever f has a power series with infinite radius of convergence and positive coefficients. Permanence and stability of a predator–prey system with stage structure for predator

A stage-structured predator–prey system with delays for prey and predator, respectively, is proposed and analyzed. Mathematical analysis of the model equations with regard to boundedness of solutions, permanence and stability are analyzed. Some sufficient conditions which guarantee the permanence of the system and the global asymptotic stability of the boundary and positive equilibrium, respectively, are obtained.
