A new bipyridyl derivative 1 bearing rhodamine B as visible fluorophore was designed, synthesized and characterized as a fluorescent and colorimetric sensor for metal ions. Interaction with Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg+, and Hg2+ ions was followed by UV/Vis and emission spectroscopy. Upon addition of these metal ions, different colorimetric and fluorescent responses were observed. “Off-on-off” (Cu2+, Zn2+, and Hg2+) and “off-on” (Hg+ and Cd2+) systems were obtained. Probe 1 was explored to mimic XOR and OR logic operations for the simultaneous detection of Hg+–Cu2+ and Hg+–Zn2+ pairs, respectively. DFT calculations were also performed to gain insight into the lowest-energy gas-phase conformation of free receptor 1 as well as the atomistic details of the coordination modes of the various metal ions.  相似文献

This work describes a mid-infrared (MIR) metabolic profiling study of 2nd trimester amniotic fluid in relation to selected prenatal disorders, with results focusing on fetal malformations (FM), preterm delivery (PTD) and premature rupture of membranes (PROM), the latter two conditions occurring later in pregnancy. Partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) models were obtained for FM and pre-PTD subject groups, supported by Monte Carlo Cross Validation (MCCV), and identified specific MIR profile changes. For pre-PROM subjects, minor changes were noted. MIR interpretation was assisted by intra- (MIR/MIR) and inter- (MIR/NMR) domain statistical correlation analysis, the results unveiling possible biomarker MIR signatures for FM and pre-PTD subjects. Biofluid MIR metabolic profiling holds enticing possibilities as a low cost, easy to use, rapid method and the results presented have shown its sensitivity to clinically diagnosed conditions such as FM, and to the pre-clinical stages of PTD. Specific improvement needs are discussed, namely regarding sample numbers and experimental reproducibility.  相似文献

In this work, an automated multipumping pulsed flow system was implemented for the determination of phosphate in natural waters. The developed flow approach was based on the spectrophotometric determination of phosphate by using the vanadomolybdate reaction. The exploitation of a very simple manifold configuration relying on the utilization of just two active components, in this case two solenoid actuated micropumps that were accountable for sample and reagent insertion and commutation, reaction zone formation, and solutions propelling, provided a great operational and optimization simplicity, low reagent consumption, and waste minimization.

Linear calibration plots for phosphate concentrations of up to 20 mg L?1 (R2 = 0.999, n = 6) were obtained, with a detection limit of 0.2 mg L?1. The sampling rate was about 60 samples per hour. The system was applied to the monitoring of phosphate in local streams at specific sampling stations.  相似文献

We have prepared molecularly imprinted beads with molecular recognition capability for target molecules containing the penicillanic acid substructure. They were prepared by (a) grafting mesoporous silica beads with 6-aminopenicillanic acid as the mimic template, (b) filling the pores with a polymerized mixture of methacrylic acid and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate, and (c) removing the silica support with ammonium fluoride. The resulting imprinted beads showed good molecular recognition capability for various penicillanic species, while antibiotics such as cephalosporins or chloramphenicol were poorly recognized. The imprinted beads were used to extract penicillin V, nafcillin, oxacillin, cloxacillin and dicloxacillin from skimmed and deproteinized milk in the concentration range of 5–100 μg·L−1. The extracts were then analyzed by micellar electrokinetic chromatography by applying reverse polarity staking as an in-capillary preconcentration step, and this resulted in a fast and affordable method within the MRL levels, characterized by minimal pretreatment steps and recoveries of 64–90 %.

Penicillanic acid-imprinted beads prepared in preformed porous silica by an imprinting &; etching approach show selectivity towards β-lactams antibiotics. Molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction/micellar electrokinetic chromatography coupled with in-capillary preconcentration resulted in a fast and affordable method for penicillins in milk at MRL levels.

In this paper, we deal with the analysis of the solutions of traffic flow models at multiple scales in both cases of a single road and road networks. We are especially interested in measuring the distance between traffic states (as they result from the mathematical modeling) and investigating whether these distances are somehow preserved passing from the microscopic to the macroscopic scale. By means of both theoretical and numerical investigations, we show that, on a single road, the notion of Wasserstein distance fully catches the human perception of distance independently of the scale, while in the case of networks it partially loses its nice properties.  相似文献

Self‐organizing maps (SOMs) (in particular, Matrix reOrganization Layout to Map Analytical Patterns (MOLMAP)) were used to unravel the main patterns in a three‐way dataset after a preliminary unfolding of the cube. Eleven sites of the ría of Vigo (NW of Spain) were monitored during the last decade (from 2000 to 2010) to assess pollution trends in this area. Twelve trace metals (Hg, Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, Cr, As, Li, Fe, Al, Ni and Mn), the total organic carbon and the percentage of fine particles were measured. Results from MOLMAP, the SOM‐based approach, were compared to those of three established alternatives: parallel factor analysis, matrix‐augmented principal component analysis and generalized Procrustes rotation, the latter two employing unfolding as well. MOLMAP showed the best capabilities to differentiate groups of samples. The spatial and temporal trends, as well as the analytical variables causing them, were almost the same for all methods, which confirms MOLMAP as a simple and reliable methodology to treat three‐way environmental datasets. We report on the fabrication and performance of Si-based light sources. The devices consist of MOS structures with erbium (Er)-doped silicon rich oxide (SRO) film as gate dielectric. The devices exhibit electroluminescence (EL) at 1.54 μm at room temperature with a 0.2% external quantum efficiency. These devices show a high stability due to the silicon excess in the film. The Er-doped SRO films have been introduced in a Si/SiO2 Fabry-Perot Microcavity in order to increase the spontaneous emission rate, the extraction efficiency and the spectral purity at the resonant wavelength. The active medium in the cavity has been electrically pumped and the conduction mechanisms have been analyzed. The EL spectra have also been acquired and compared with photoluminescence (PL) ones for the same resonant cavity light-emitting device (RCLED). The EL and PL peak intensities of the on-axis emission at the resonant wavelength are over 20 times above that of the similar Er-doped SRO film without a cavity. The Si-based RCLEDs exhibit different quality factors, ranging from 60 to 170. The spectra shape and intensity have been correlated with the quality factor. A high directionality of the emitted light, due to the presence of the resonant cavity, has also been observed: the overall luminescence is confined within 10° cone from the sample normal.  相似文献

The Spanish Treasury is the only Treasury in the world that uses a hybrid system of discriminatory and uniform price auctions to sell government debt: winning bidders pay their bid price for each unit if this is lower than the weighted average price of winning bids (WAP), and pay the WAP otherwise. Following Gordy [Gordy, M., 1996. Multiple bids in a multiple-unit common-value auction. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System], we model the Spanish auction as a common value auction of multiple units with private information, allowing for multiple bids. Numerical analysis shows that bidders spread their bids more in the Spanish than in the discriminatory auction and bid higher for the first unit, and that the expected seller’s revenue is higher in the Spanish than in the discriminatory auction within a reasonable set of parameter values.  相似文献
