Kondo screening of diluted magnetic impurities in a disordered host is studied analytically and numerically in one, two, and three dimensions. It is shown that in the T(K) --> 0 limit the distribution of Kondo temperatures has a universal form P(T(K)) approximately T(K) (-a) that holds in the insulating phase and persists in the metallic phase close to the metal-insulator transition. Moreover, the exponent depends only on the dimensionality. The most important consequence of this result is that the T dependence of thermodynamic properties is smooth across the metal-insulator transition in three dimensional systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the Hamiltonian formulation of nonholonomic systems with symmetries and study several aspects of the geometry of their reduced almost Poisson brackets, including the integrability of their characteristic distributions. Our starting point is establishing global formulas for the nonholonomic Jacobiators, before and after reduction, which are used to clarify the relationship between reduced nonholonomic brackets and twisted Poisson structures. For certain types of symmetries (generalizing the Chaplygin case), we obtain genuine Poisson structures on the reduced spaces and analyze situations in which the reduced nonholonomic brackets arise by applying a gauge transformation to these Poisson structures. We illustrate our results with mechanical examples, and in particular show how to recover several well-known facts in the special case of Chaplygin symmetries.  相似文献

This paper studies hamiltonization of nonholonomic systems using geometric tools, building on [1], [5]. The main novelty in this paper is the use of symmetries and suitable first integrals of the system to explicitly define a new bracket on the reduced space that codifies the nonholonomic dynamics and carries, additionally, an almost symplectic foliation (determined by the common level sets of the first integrals); in particular cases of interest, this new bracket is a Poisson structure that hamiltonizes the system. Our construction of the new bracket is based on a gauge transformation of the nonholonomic bracket by a global 2-form that we explicitly describe. We study various geometric features of the reduced brackets and apply our formulas to obtain a geometric proof of the hamiltonization of a homogeneous ball rolling without sliding in the interior side of a convex surface of revolution.  相似文献

A design of polarization-maintaining retro-reflectors(PMRRs) for folded-path applications is proposed and analyzed.The prism-based scheme enables the output light,which is parallel to the input,to have an identical state of polarization.The principle of the design is theoretically verified,and the related error is analyzed due to possible manufacturing imperfection.The maximum spatial angle error is ±2.75°.The effect on the extinction ratio and insertion loss is also discussed,which further proves the design’s feasibility in practical applications.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to identify bacterial responses in two shallow lakes from Patagonia to UV-irradiated dissolved organic matter (DOM) coming from different sources. We carried out laboratory experiments in which natural lake water and Potamogeton linguatus leachates were irradiated (UVA-340 fluorescent tubes Q-Panel) or kept in darkness. Natural bacterial assemblages were then incubated in four treatments: natural lake water, irradiated lake water, macrophyte leachate and irradiated macrophyte leachate. We estimated bacterial abundance, composition and activity, and changes in the optical features of DOM. Our results showed that the addition of leachates caused an increase in the DOM mean molecular size. After UV exposure, a high bacterial activity was observed in lake water treatments. On the contrary, carbon uptake by bacteria was reduced in the irradiated leachate treatment. The degree of aromatization in the leachate treatments increased and thus may contribute to a dissolved carbon less available for bacterial activity. Regarding the bacteria assemblage we observed that β -Proteobacteria outcompete the other groups in the leachate treatments, this group being more efficient at utilizing the high molecular weight DOM. These results highlight the importance of UVR interacting with different DOM sources in bacteria responses of shallow lakes.  相似文献

在文献[1]中,我们导出了超导临界温度T-c的一个严格级数表式.本文讨论这个级数的收敛范围,以及通过解析延拓来扩展收敛范围的可能性.结论是:我们的Tc级数(指文献[1]原来的级数,或者经过延拓后的级数)在∞>λ>λ0的整个范围内,都是收敛的.这里λ0是Matsubara表象中使决定Tc的方程具有正实数解的最小的λ值.它实际上就是库伦赝势.因此,也许除了少数非常弱耦合的超导体以外,我们的Tc级数能适用于一切超导体.  相似文献

A mixed valence impurity with two magnetic configurations of total angular momentumJ 2 andJ 1=J 2+1/2, respectively, coupled by conduction electrons with total angular momentum 1/2 via a hybridization matrix element is considered. 本文报道了多光束共振光压作用下钠原子束偏转的实验研究结果。文中提出了用多光束与原子束相互作用以增大原子束的偏转量,并可大大降低对激光功率的要求。用一台染料激光器照射钠原子束得到1×10-2rad的偏转角,偏转距离约7.2mm,并用激光诱导原子束荧光的方法检测原子束的偏转。  相似文献
