In this study, we investigated the inclusion complexation of 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) and eight monoterpenes (eucalyptol, geraniol, limonene, linalool, α-pinene, β-pinene, pulegone, and thymol) in aqueous solution and solid state. The formation constants (K f) of inclusion complexes were determined using fluorescence spectroscopy and static headspace gas chromatography. The results indicated the formation of 1:1 inclusion complexes between HP-β-CD and all studied guests. A linear relationship was found between K f values and the hydrophobic character of the monoterpenes expressed as logP. Solid complexes were prepared by the freeze-drying method in a 1:1 (HP-β-CD:monoterpene) molar ratio. Physicochemical characterization of solid inclusion complexes was carried out using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Finally, the encapsulation efficiency (EE%) of HP-β-CD was determined using HPLC analysis. Noticeable difference in the EE% was observed between monoterpene hydrocarbons and oxygenated monoterpenes. These results suggested that complexation with HP-β-CD could be a promising strategy to enlarge the application of monoterpenes in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries. 相似文献

An innovative strategy is proposed to synthesize single-crystal nanowires (NWs) of the Al3+ dicarboxylate MIL-69(Al) MOF by using graphene oxide nanoscrolls as structure-directing agents. MIL-69(Al) NWs with an average diameter of 70±20 nm and lengths up to 2 μm were found to preferentially grow along the [001] crystallographic direction. Advanced characterization methods (electron diffraction, TEM, STEM-HAADF, SEM, XPS) and molecular modeling revealed the mechanism of formation of MIL-69(Al) NWs involving size-confinement and templating effects. The formation of MIL-69(Al) seeds and the self-scroll of GO sheets followed by the anisotropic growth of MIL-69(Al) crystals are mediated by specific GO sheets/MOF interactions. DNA-encoded combinatorial synthesis provides efficient and dense coverage of chemical space around privileged molecular structures. The indole side chain of tryptophan plays a prominent role in key, or “hot spot”, regions of protein–protein interactions. A DNA-encoded combinatorial peptoid library was designed based on the Ugi four-component reaction by employing tryptophan-mimetic indole side chains to probe the surface of target proteins. Several peptoids were synthesized on a chemically stable hexathymidine adapter oligonucleotide “hexT”, encoded by DNA sequences, and substituted by azide-alkyne cycloaddition to yield a library of 8112 molecules. Selection experiments for the tumor-relevant proteins MDM2 and TEAD4 yielded MDM2 binders and a novel class of TEAD-YAP interaction inhibitors that perturbed the expression of a gene under the control of these Hippo pathway effectors. 相似文献

Cu(In,Ga)Se2 absorbers were immerged in deionized water for different times, and specific chemical evolutions were monitored thanks to X-ray photoemission spectroscopy. Cu(In,Ga)Se2 related dissolution products were studied in water through induced coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. A unique advanced intermediate: 3-Pentadecylcyclohexanone was synthetized from the crude product which contained a mixture of cardanol, cardol and 2-methylcardol, which was hydrogenated onto Pd/C at 80 °C. From this alkylated cyclohexanone: C15 alkylated adipic acid, caprolactam, caprolactone, were synthetized in high yields, such products may have many potentially applications in polymer chemistry. The condensation of the 3-pentadecyl-cyclohexanone and triethylene glycol in oxidative or reductive conditions gave aryl ether and cyclohexyl ether, this may be a way to prepare intermediate for surfactant chemistry. Therefore we show that Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) may lead to numerous useful compounds thank to the preparation of a unique advanced intermediate. 相似文献

Nitroxide‐mediated controlled/living free‐radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate initiated by the SG1‐based alkoxyamine BlocBuilder was successfully performed in bulk at 80–99 °C with the help of a very small amount of acrylonitrile (AN, 2.2–8.8 mol %) as a comonomer. Well‐defined PMMA‐rich P(MMA‐co‐AN) copolymers were prepared with the number‐average molar mass, Mn, in the 6.1–32 kg mol?1 range and polydispersity indexes as low as 1.24. Incorporation of AN in the copolymers was demonstrated by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, and its effect on the chain thermal properties was evaluated by DSC and TGA analyses. Investigation of chain‐end functionalization by an alkoxyamine group was performed by means of 31P NMR spectroscopy and chain extensions from a P(MMA‐co‐AN)‐SG1 macroinitiator. It demonstrated the very high proportion of SG1‐terminated polymer chains, which opened the door to block copolymer synthesis with a high quality of control. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Synthesis, X-ray, and cytotoxicity studies of (S)- and (R)-aziridine-2-carboxamide (Leakadine) are described. X-ray data for the enantiomerically pure form are compared with those for racemic aziridine-2-carboxamide in order to explain the 21°C large melting point difference between both series. It was found that despite their overall low cytotoxicity (S)-aziridine-2-carboxamide is slightly more cytotoxic than (R)-aziridine-2-carboxamide. 相似文献
