This article presents a facile, effective, mild synthesis process for well‐defined hollow spheres by using cationic polystyrene (PS) submicro‐particles as templates. In this approach, the cationic PS templates can be first prepared via emulsifier‐free polymerization by using the cationic monomer 2‐(methacryloyloxy) ethyltrimethylammonium chloride as comonomer, then, the silica shells from the sol‐gel process of tetraethoxysilane were coated on the surfaces of template particles via electrostatic interaction, finally the PS was dissolved in situ by modification of the reaction conditions in the same medium to form monodisperse hollow silica spheres with controlled shell thickness. Fourier transform‐infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscope measurements were used to characterize these hollow silica spheres. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A facile synthetic route to prepare the dual‐functional molecule, 2,5‐bis(4′‐carboxyphenyl)styrene, was developed. The esterification of this compound with chiral alcohols, that is, (S)‐(+)‐sec‐butanol/(R)‐(?)‐sec‐butanol, (S)‐(+)‐sec‐octanol/(R)‐(?)‐sec‐octanol, and D ‐(+)‐menthol/L ‐(?)‐menthol, respectively, yielded three enantiomeric pairs of novel vinyl monomers, which underwent radical polymerization to obtain helical polymers with an excess screw sense. These polymers exhibited optical rotations as large as fourfold those of the corresponding monomers. Their helical conformations were quite stable as revealed by the almost unchanged chiroptical properties measured at different temperatures. The polymers with linear alkyl tails in the side‐groups formed irreversibly columnar nematic phases in melt although the corresponding monomers were not liquid crystalline. Summary Acid strength distribution and the distribution of aromatics formed in the FCC gasoline conversion reaction on a ZSM-5 zeolite with different Na contents have been studied. With increasing Na content in the ZSM-5 zeolite, the acid sites determined by NH3-TPD technique, especially the strong acid sites, clearly decrease. When used as catalyst for the aromatization reaction, the transformation of olefins in the FCC gasoline into aromatics is governed directly by the strong acid sites on the ZSM-5 catalyst. Only under the conditions that a ZSM-5 catalyst possesses suitable strong acid sites is reaction temperature favorable for the aromatics formed. 相似文献

如何快速、准确地建立地质体的三维模型一直是众多岩土工程数值模拟工作者所面临的难题。虽然三维地学模拟软件具有很好的三维地质建模能力,但是由于数据结构的差异,采用他们现行三维地学模拟软件建立的地质模型难以导入数值模拟分析软件中,以为相应工程问题的数值模拟服务。目前,随着各种CAD、CAM软件行业的的飞速发展,涌现出了许多优秀的三维建模软件,而且这些软件大都与现行数值分析软件有着良好的数据接口功能。据此,本文提出了采用现行CAD软件来建立工程地质体的三维模型,使得建立的模型达到既"可视"又"可算"的目的。将其应用于云南某高速公路边坡的三维建模中,证明了该法具有方便、快捷和合理等优点。 相似文献

For the N-degree-of-freedom of linear conservative vibratory systems, the corresponding potential functions can be viewed as N-hypersurfaces in (N + 1)-dimensional space. In this paper, a connection between the geometrical properties (principal curvatures, curvature lines) of potential surfaces and the vibratory characteristics (natural frequencies, linear modes) of the system is built. It is proved that the linear normal modes are exactly the projections of the lines of curvature on the potential surface onto the configuration space with metric mij (the mass-matrix); and that the squared natural frequencies are exactly the principal curvatures, at the origin of the configuration space, of the potential surface. 相似文献
