Herein, a novel pyridine derivative, 1-(2,6 dichlorobenzyl)-4-(2-(2-4-hydroxybenzylidene)hydrazinyl)-pyridinium chloride (DHPC), was synthesized as a candidate drug molecule. Interaction of DHPC with DNA was used to explore its effect on DNA via Differential Pulse Voltammetry, Cyclic Voltammetry, and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy. We demonstrated that oxidation signal of guanine bases of DNA decreased significantly while that of DHPC increased after its interaction with one another. Our candidate drug molecule exhibits LOD and LOQ, e.g., 1.5 μg/mL and 4.9 μg/mL, respectively. Toxicity effect value for DHPC (S%) was calculated as %31, demonstrating the candidate drug molecule's toxic effect on DNA. 相似文献

Determination of copper (Cu), zinc (Zn) and manganese (Mn) micronutrients in soil samples have been studied for an efficient fertiliser application. Plant-available micronutrients of soils were extracted with DTPA extraction procedure, then differential pulse stripping voltammetry (DPSV) and square wave stripping voltammetry (SWSV) methods were performed with inexpensive and disposable pencil graphite electrode for determination of Cu(II), Zn(II) and Mn(II). Parameters such as deposition potential, deposition time, pH and concentration of the supporting electrolyte were optimised for these ions. Under optimised conditions, the limits of detection were found as 0.01 mg L?1 for Cu(II) and 0.02 mg L?1 for Zn(II) and 0.25 mg L?1 for Mn(II). Relative standard deviation (%RSD) was 6.80, 8.86 and 3.29 for Cu(II), Zn(II) and Mn(II), respectively. The experimental study was conducted using a flame atomic absorption spectroscopy. Aptamers are short length, single-stranded DNA or RNA affinity molecules which interact with any desired targets such as biomarkers, cells, biological molecules, drugs or chemicals with high sensitivity. They have been extensively employed for medical applications due to having more advantages than the antibodies such as easier preparation and modification, higher stability, lower batch-to-batch variability and cost. Moreover, aptamers can be easily integrated efficiently with sensors, biosensors, actuators and other devices. In this review article, different applications of aptamers for biological and chemical molecules detection within the scope of electrochemical methods were presented with recent studies. In addition, the present status and future perspectives for highly-effective aptasensors for specific and selective analyte detection were discussed. As in stated throughout the review, combining of extraordinary properties of aptamers with the electrochemical-based biosensors could have improved the sensitivity of the assay and reduced limit of detection. 相似文献

We have developed a cost-effective and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of arsenic at trace level
using a new reagent, hexamethylene ammonium-hexamethylenedithiocarbamate (HMA-HMDTC). Here we show that arsenic reacts with
HMA-HMDTC in acidic conditions to yield the As(HMDTC)3 complex. We studied the Beer’s law at 256 nm, which showed linearity over the concentration range 0.2–1.0 μg/mL of arsenic.
We have shown that molar absorptivity, Sandell’s sensitivity and the detection limit of the method are 6.06 × 104 L/mol cm, 0.0012 μg/cm2 and 0.060 μg/mL, respectively. We have applied this new method to the determination of arsenic in drinking water. 相似文献
