Activated perethylated pillar[5]arene crystals show an unexpected alkane‐shape‐ and ‐length‐selective gate‐opening behavior. Activated crystals were obtained upon removing solvents from perethylated pillar[5]arene crystals by heating. The activated crystals could quantitatively take up n‐alkanes with carbon chains containing more than five carbon atoms as a consequence of their gate‐opening pressure. As the chain length of the n‐alkanes increased, the gate pressure decreased. A transformation into a herringbone structure was induced when n‐hexane was used as a guest. By contrast, cyclic and branched alkanes were not taken up and could not induce a crystal transformation because they were too large to fit in the cavities of the pillar[5]arene. Alkane‐shape‐selective molecular recognition of pillar[5]arenes in the solution state was translated into the vapor/crystal state.  相似文献

In many countries, the labeling of grains, feed, and foodstuff is mandatory if the genetically modified (GM) organism content exceeds a certain level of approved GM varieties. We previously developed an individual kernel detection system consisting of grinding individual kernels, DNA extraction from the individually ground kernels, GM detection using multiplex real-time PCR, and GM event detection using multiplex qualitative PCR to analyze the precise commingling level and varieties of GM maize in real sample grains. We performed the interlaboratory study of the DNA extraction with multiple ground samples, multiplex real-time PCR detection, and multiplex qualitative PCR detection to evaluate its applicability, practicality, and ruggedness for the individual kernel detection system of GM maize. DNA extraction with multiple ground samples, multiplex real-time PCR, and multiplex qualitative PCR were evaluated by five laboratories in Japan, and all results from these laboratories were consistent with the expected results in terms of the commingling level and event analysis. Thus, the DNA extraction with multiple ground samples, multiplex real-time PCR, and multiplex qualitative PCR for the individual kernel detection system is applicable and practicable in a laboratory to regulate the commingling level of GM maize grain for GM samples, including stacked GM maize.  相似文献

We report the successful heteroepitaxial growth of perfectly oriented hybrid MOF thin films. By employing step-by-step liquid-phase epitaxy (LPE), [Zn(2)(ndc)(2)(dabco)](n) was grown on [Cu(2)(ndc)(2)(dabco)](n), thus demonstrating that the MOF-on-MOF deposition scheme developed for powdered microcrystalline MOF materials can also be applied in connection with LPE for MOF thin films or multilayers. The deposition was monitored by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy, the resulting MOF heterostructures were characterized using IR spectroscopy and different types of X-ray diffraction (XRD)-based techniques. The results suggest that the LPE method is a promising way to fabricate and grow MOF heterostructures, and also demonstrates the potential of [Cu(2)(ndc)(2)(dabco)](n) MOF thin films as substrates for the LPE-based growth of different MOFs on top.  相似文献

The thermal degradation of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS-Br; 10 g) containing brominated flame retardant (Br: 9.59 wt.%) was carried out at 450 °C using a semi batch operation using two different temperature programs. The heating rate was found to affect the quality of the degradation oil and yield of products (liquid, gas and residue). Data on the effect of the temperature program on the accumulation of liquid products was presented. It was found that the majority of the bromine was concentrated in the carbon residue and while majority of the nitrogen accumulates in the liquid products irrespective of degradation mode. The use of a one step constant heating rate process (I) produced a higher liquid yield (39%), than a two step process (29%). Differences were also noted in the Br and N contained in the liquids produced by the two processes.  相似文献

The acoustic radiation from a viscoelastic beam impacted by a steel sphere has been studied both theoretically and experimentally. Transverse vibrations of free-free viscoelastic beams have been analyzed by employing the modal analysis technique and an approximate method, with the Hertz theory used to evaluate impact forces. The wave equation was solved to determine the acoustic pressure radiated from impacted beams of circular and elliptical cross-sections. The theoretical predictions are compared with the experimental results for the radiation from PMMA beams of circular and rectangular cross-sections. It is shown that for beams of circular cross-sections the theoretical and experimental results are in good agreement and that for beams of rectangular cross-sections the radiation is well predicted by modeling them as beams with elliptical cross-sections.  相似文献
