Structural and morphological behavior under stress–strain of polypropylene/multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (PP/MWCNTs) nanocomposites prepared through ultrasound‐assisted melt extrusion process was studied by means of optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, small angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS), and wide angle X‐ray scattering (WAXS). A high ductile behavior was observed in the PP/MWCNT nanocomposites with low concentration of MWCNTs. This was related to an energy‐dissipating mechanism, achieved by the formation of an ordered PP‐CNTs interphase zone and crystal oriented structure in the undeformed samples. Different strain‐induced‐phase transformations were observed by ex situ SAXS/WAXS, characterizing the different stages of structure development during the deformation of PP and PP/MWCNTs nanocomposites. The high concentration of CNTs reduced the strain behavior of PP due to the agglomeration of nanoparticles. A structural pathway relating the deformation‐induced phase transitions and the dissipation energy mechanism in the PP/MWCNTs nanocomposites at low concentration of nanoparticles was proposed. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This work describes the electroanalytical determination of Chlorpyriphos pesticide in natural waters using hanging mercury drop electrode allied to square wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry. The best responses were obtained in Britton?Robinson buffer solutions at pH 2.0, using a frequency of 100 s–1, a scan increment of 5 mV, a square wave amplitude of 25 mV and an accumulation potential of–0.4 V during 60 s. Therefore, voltammetric responses showed the presence of one well-defined and irreversible reduction peak, at–1.08 V vs. Ag/AgCl/KCl 1.0 M, which involves two electrons in the reduction of carbon?nitrogen bond in the N-heterocyclic system with the participation of protonation equilibrium preceding the electron transfer reaction. Analytical curves were constructed and compared to similar curves performed by gas chromatograph coupled to a selective nitrogen?phosphorus detector, which demonstrates that the proposed methodology is suitable for determining contamination by Chlorpyriphos in complex samples. 相似文献

The catalytic properties of ZnAlVO mixed oxides derived from decavanadate-exchanged ZnAl–layered double hydroxide (LDH) precursors prepared by a sol–gel method (ZnAlVO–LDHx,y) were investigated in the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane and compared with those of supported catalysts obtained by conventional impregnation of NH4VO3 on ZnO (ZnVO-I,y) and ZnAlO mixed oxide (ZnAlVO-I,y) supports. The effects of composition and calcination time on the catalytic behavior were particularly examined. Higher propane conversions were achieved at higher vanadium content and calcination time of the precursors. The LDH-derived catalysts were the most active ones in all the temperature range studied (300–425 °C). The order of activity for propane conversion for the different catalyst families varies as ZnAlVO–LDHx,y > ZnAlVO-I > ZnVO-I and follows the strength of the Lewis and Brønsted acid sites determined by monitoring of pyridine adsorption by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, whereas the propene selectivities are close together in agreement with the similar densities of basic sites determined by CO2–temperature-programmed desorption measurements. It was indeed established that the acidity, rather than the nature of the crystalline phases, the reducibility, or the specific surface area of the samples, governs the catalytic activity. 相似文献

As a non-invasive or micro-invasive technique attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic (ATR-FTIR) microscopy is a valuable tool for the analysis of materials in works of art. An application for which it has received growing interest is in the analysis of paint cross-sections. However, FTIR microscope configurations, objectives' geometries and low spatial resolutions, and issues of sample preparation have often hampered the characterization of individual layers or features in cross-sections. With the use of case studies, it is demonstrated here that an ATR-FTIR microscope featuring a crystal of optimized geometry and a viewing capability feature allows characterization of individual layers, or areas within layers, of 10 microm thickness or less in single measurements. Of particular value is a remote aperturing feature which allows the analysis of selected areas within the contact footprint of the ATR crystal. Since the technique is non-destructive, the same area can be analyzed by complementary microscopic techniques such as Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy. Pyrolysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was also used in some cases to corroborate the spectroscopic data. The analyses presented provided data which were important in informing art historical interpretation and conservation of the artworks examined. 相似文献
