Canonical Modules of Semigroup Rings and a Conjecture of Reiner

We prove that the homotopy types of two naturally defined simplicial complexes are related in the following way: one is homotopy equivalent to a multiple suspension of the canonical Alexander dual of the other. These simplicial complexes arise in free resolutions of semigroup rings and modules. The relation between their homotopy types was conjectured by Reiner, and was suggested by a homological consequence of a result due independently to Danilov and Stanley on canonical modules of normal semigroup rings. Our proof is purely topological, and gives an alternative proof of their result. We also prove a generalization of a result of Hochster saying that these rings are Cohen—Macaulay, and indicate a new proof of Ehrhart's reciprocity law for rational polytopes. 5D Dirac Equation in Induced-Matter Theory

According to an induced-matter approach, Liu and Wesson obtained the rest mass of a typical particle from the reduction of a 5D Klein–Gordon equation to a 4D one. Introducing an extra-dimension momentum operator identified with the rest mass eigenvalue operator, we consider a way to generalize the 4D Dirac equation to 5D. An analogous normal Dirac equation is gained when the generalization reduces to 4D. We find the rest mass of a particle in curved space varies with spacetime coordinates and check this for the case of exact solitonic and cosmological solution of the 5D vacuum gravitational field equations.     

激光诱导荧光探测水体中溶解有机物浓度

用Nd∶YAG激光器的三倍频355 nm光作为激发光源,根据激光诱导荧光(LIF)方法激发并探测污染水体的荧光光谱.通过对荧光光谱的分析处理研究归一化荧光强度,即450 nm处水中溶解有机物(DOM)峰与405 nm处水的拉曼峰的比值,反演溶解有机物浓度.用商品腐殖酸和去离子水配置成已知浓度的溶液代替标准DOM溶液进行标定,得到回归方程.结果证明,DOM的归一化荧光强度与水体中DOM浓度有较好的线性关系,因此LIF方法是对大面积水域水质进行动态遥测的较理想方法.     

PVK∶DBVP掺杂体系的能量转移及发光性质的研究

研究了不同比例的PVK与齐聚PPV衍生物DBVP掺杂体系的能量转移和发光特性.通过对PVK,DBVP及PVK:DBVP掺杂体系的UV-vis,PL和PLE光谱的研究,分析了PVK与DBVP之间的能量转移过程.利用PVK在体系中类似于溶剂的分散作用,制备了结构为ITO/PEDOT/PVK:DBVP/LiF/Al的电致发光器件,研究了掺杂体系的电致发光性能.结果表明,在掺杂体系的光致发光和电致发光中,PVK的发射被有效地抑制,PVK与DBVP之间发生了非常有效的能量转移,通过调节PVK与DBVP的比例,可以获得蓝色和绿色发光,同时可以改善器件的发光性能,当PVK与DBVP的重量比为1∶2时,器件的绿色发光效率达到1·06cd/A,此时发光亮度为52cd/m2.     

单甲基原位改性SiO2疏水减反膜的制备与性能研究

 在碱性条件下通过TEOS和MTES的共水解缩聚反应制备了单甲基原位改性的SiO₂溶胶，并使用提拉法在K9玻璃基片上镀制了疏水减反膜。通过透射电镜（TEM）考察了镀膜溶胶的微结构，分别使用红外光谱（FTIR）分析了薄膜的组分，用原子力显微镜（AFM）观察了薄膜的表面形貌和起伏状况，用紫外可见光谱（UV-vis）考察了薄膜的减反射性能，用接触角仪测量了薄膜对水的接触角。并使用“R-on-1”的方式测量了薄膜在Nd:YAG激光（1 064 nm，1 ns）作用下的损伤阈值。结果表明，通过共水解缩聚反应可以把甲基引入镀膜溶胶簇团中，改善了溶胶簇团的网络结构，使薄膜得到相当好的疏水性能和更好的抗激光损伤性能，同时薄膜能保持较好的减反射性能。

Three New Polyoxygenated Steroids from Two Species of the South China Sea Gorgonian Muricella flexuosa and Menella verrucosa Brundin

Three new polyoxygenated steroids, muricesteroid ( 1 ), and menellsteroids A ( 2 ) and B ( 3 ), were isolated from two species of the South China Sea gorgonian Muricella flexuosa and Menella verrucosa Brundin , respectively. The structures of these new compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, chemical methods and comparison with known related compounds.     

空气/水界面水分子的取向和运动

对四种不同的实验构型下空气／水界面自由O-H键在3700cm~(-1)的和频振动光谱的分析表明,水分子在空气／水界面的取向运动只可能是在平衡位置附近有限角度之内的受限转动。界面水分子的自由O-H键取向距界面法线约33°,而取向分布或运动的宽度不超过15°。这一图像显著地不同于Wei等人(Phys. Rev. Lett.86,4799(2001))只通过单一的SFG实验构型所得出结论,即：空气／水界面的水分子在超快的振动弛豫时间内在很大的角度范围内运动。     

Spectral line suppression and sideband narrowing via quantum interference

We reveal that for a realistic system, interference effects are obtained such as the suppression of central line and inner sidebands and the narrowing of the outer fluorescence sidebands. For this purpose, we consider a spontaneous decay from an excited state to a metastable state when the excited and metastable states are resonantly coupled to an auxiliary metastable state by a laser field and a microwave field, respectively. The fluorescence spectrum evolves from a five-peaked structure into a doublet of ultrasharp lines as the ratio of the laser field Rabi frequency to the microwave Rabi frequency is decreased. The physical origin is presented in terms of dressed states.
