Phenolic compounds from Anaphalis aureo-punctata

From the ethanolic extract of the whole plant of Anaphalis aureo-punctata, a new acylated flavonoid glycoside 3-O-kaempferol-3-O-acetyl-6-O-(p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), and five known phenolic compounds 3-O-kaempferol-6- O- ( p-coumaroyl )-β-D-glucopyranoside ( 2 ), kaempferol-3- O-β-D-glucopyranoside 3,6-(4′-hydroxystyryl)-4-methoxy-2-pyrone (4), 2H-pyran-2-one, 6-[ 2-( 4-(β-D-glucopyranosyloxy ) phenyl ) ethenyl ]-4-methoxy-( E ) (5) and 4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic hexacosyl ester (6) were isolated. Their structures were established by spectral methods (UV, IR, MS, 1D, 2D-NMR). The flavonoid glycosides, 1, 2 and 3 showed markedly inhibited oxidative DNA strand breaks induced by Fenton reaction and NADH/PMS in a concentration-dependent manner.

A New Method to Synthesize the P,N-Heteromultifunctional Ligands

The nature of the highly polar P-N bond in phosphinimine makes a ligand of this kind become versatile in both coordination and organometallic chemistry.[1,2] Usually this kind of phosphinimine phosphine P,N-heterodifunctional ligands is prepared by the Staudinger reaction of azides with organophophine. Now a more mild and efficient method is provided. The product of Mannich reaction of 2-aminopyridine reacted with Ph2PCl in the presence of Et3N, giving the phosphinimine compound 1 in more than 90% yield.

Rb3In(H2O)Si5O13: a novel indium silicate with a CdSO4-topological-type structure

A novel indium silicate, Rb3In(H2O)Si5O13, has been synthesized using a high-temperature, high-pressure hydrothermal method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure consists of five-membered rings of corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra connected via corner sharing to four adjacent five-membered rings to form a 3D silicate framework that belongs to the CdSO4 topological type. The InO6 octahedron shares five of its corners with five different SiO4 tetrahedra to form a 3D frame-work that delimits two types of channels to accommodate the rubidium cations. The sixth corner of InO6 is coordinated H2O. The structure is related to that of the titanium silicate ETS-10, and these are the only two metal silicates that have the CdSO4-topological-type structure. In addition, the crystal of Rb3In(H2O)Si5O13 shows an intense second harmonic generation signal.
