Thermal conductance for single wall carbon nanotubes

We report a theoretical analysis of the phonon thermal conductance, κ(T), for single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCN). In a range of low temperatues up to 100 K, κ(T) of perfect SWCN is found to increase with temperature, approximately, in a parabolic fashion. This is qualitatively consistent with recent experimental measurements where the tube-tube interactions are negligibly weak. When the carbon-carbon bond length is slightly varied, κ(T) is found to be qualitatively unaltered which implies that the anharmonic effect does not change the qualitative behavior of κ(T). Sufficient optimality conditions and duality in vector optimization with invex-convexlike functions

We prove the Kuhn-Tucker sufficient optimality condition, the Wolfe duality, and a modified Mond-Weir duality for vector optimization problems involving various types of invex-convexlike functions. The class of such functins contains many known generalized convex functions. As applications, we demonstrate that, under invex-convexlikeness assumptions, the Pontryagin maximum principle is a sufficient optimality condition for cooperative differential games. The Wolfe duality is established for these games.The author is indebted to the referees and Professor W. Oscillations of Higher Order Neutral Differential Equations with Variable Coefficients

We obtain sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions of the higher order neutral differential equation dⁿ/d^m[y(t) + P(t) y(t - μ)] + Q(t) y(t ?σ) = 0, t ≧ t₀ where n ≧ 1, P ? C[t₀, ∞), R ], Q ? C[t₀, ∞), R ] and τ, μ ? R ⁺. Our results extend and improve several known results in the literature.

Quantum Thermal Effect of Dirac Particles in a Nonuniformly Rectilinearly Accelerating Black Hole with Electric Charge, Magnetic Charge, and Cosmological Constant

The Hawking radiation of Dirac particles in an arbitrarily rectilinearly accelerating Kinnersley black hole with electromagnetic charge and cosmological constant is investigated by using the generalized tortoise coordinate transformation. Both the location and the temperature of the event horizon depend on the time and the polar angle. The Hawking thermal radiation spectrum of Dirac particles is also derived.     

Mössbauer studies on the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of Nd16Fe76B8 magnet

Hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of the Nd₁₆Fe₇₆B₈ magnet are studied by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The results of the samples treated under different hydrogen gas pressures at different temperatures are discussed. A special hydrogenation-dehydrogenation treatment of the Nd?Fe?B magnet cast can produce excellent isotropic magnet powders and the treated sample has passed a hydrogenation-disproportionation-recombination process.
