Micron-sized monodispersed polystyrene (PS)/poly(3,5-xylidine) (PXy) composite particles were produced by chemical oxidative seeded dispersion polymerization of 3,5-xylidine at 20 °C with 1.6-μm-sized monodispersed PS seed particles in HCl aqueous solution, the pH of which was always kept at 2.5 with a pH stat. Enantioselective hydrogenation of methyl 4-(4-biphenylyl)-3-oxobutanoate over a tartaric acid-modified Raney nickel catalyst gave the title compound in 82% ee, which was enantiomerically enriched by recrystallizations. The product was converted to an (R)-3-acetoxyglutaric acid half ester via a ruthenium-catalyzed oxidation.  相似文献

With the aim of preparing a stationary phase with a high shape-recognition ability for liquid chromatography, a new bonded phase was synthesized by coupling multiply dodecylamino-substituted beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) to 3-glycidoxypropyl-derivatized silica gel. The stationary phase prepared in this way was expected to have increased shape selectivity compared with that of conventional reversed-phase materials, due to solute interactions with the alkyl chain piles built up on the beta-CDs bonded to silica. The separation characteristics of the bonded phase were investigated using polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with different molecular shapes and compared with those of monomeric ODS and native beta-cyclodextrin-bonded phases. The newly developed stationary phase was found to be highly selective for PAHs.  相似文献

Nylon‐polystyrene microcapsules with immobilized ferroelectric liquid crystalline segments were prepared, and permeability control of an encapsulated core material was investigated under an external electric field. A ferroelectric liquid crystal monomer possessing both mesogenicity and chirality responded effectively to the external electrical field. Permeation of the material (oxprenolol) contained in the inner aqueous core of the microcapsules was enhanced under a weak electric field (2 V). Furthermore, the permeability of oxprenolol did not depend on the external electric field in the absence of the ferroelectric liquid crystal segments. To clarify the controlled‐release mechanism of the core material, the light transmittance of the polymer membranes was quantitatively evaluated under an external electric field using a handmade polarized light transmittance apparatus. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A variety of 2-azabicyclo[2.1.0]pentanes were synthesized by the intramolecular nucleophilic substitution of cyclopropylmagnesium carbenoids with magnesium anilide. The 1-chlorocyclopropyl p-tolyl sulfoxides possessing an N-aryl-substituted aminomethyl group were prepared from dichloromethyl p-tolyl sulfoxide, α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid esters, and anilines in four steps. The deprotonation of the amine with t-BuMgCl followed by sulfoxide/magnesium exchange of the sulfoxides with i-PrMgCl led to the generation of the cyclopropylmagnesium carbenoids possessing a magnesium anilide moiety. Subsequent intramolecular nucleophilic substitution of the cyclopropylmagnesium carbenoids occurred in a 4-exo-tet manner to give the 2-azabicyclo[2.1.0]pentanes. The optically active 2-azabicyclo[2.1.0]pentane was synthesized using a p-tolylsulfinyl group as a chiral auxiliary.  相似文献

The syntheses of 2,3-dihydro-4-quinolones from 2-propargylphenylcarbamates by one-pot tandem process that involves Meyer-Schuster rearrangement or arylative Meyer-Schuster rearrangement/Michael addition of carbamate nitrogen to the resulting vinyl ketones have been developed. Phenylcarbamates tethering tertiary propargyl alcohols underwent arylative Meyer-Schuster rearrangement/Friedel-Crafts alkylation to produce 2,3-dihydroindenones.  相似文献

Development of Li2S–P2S5-based glass-ceramic electrolytes is reviewed. Superionic crystals of Li7P3S11 and Li3.25P0.95S4 were precipitated from the Li2S–P2S5 glasses at the selected compositions. These high temperature or metastable phases enhanced conductivity of glass ceramics up to over 10−3 S cm−1 at room temperature. The original (or mother) glass electrolytes itself showed somewhat lower conductivity of 10−4 S cm−1 and have important role as a precursor for obtaining the superionic crystals, which were not synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction. The substitution of P2O5 for P2S5 at the composition 70Li2S·30P2S5 (mol%) improved both conductivity and electrochemical stability of glass-ceramic electrolytes. The all-solid-state In/LiCoO2 cell using the 70Li2S·27P2S5·3P2O5 (mol%) glass-ceramic electrolyte showed initial capacity of 105 mAh g−1 (gram of LiCoO2) at the current density of 0.13 mA cm−2 and exhibited higher electrochemical performance than that using the 70Li2S·30P2S5 glass-ceramic electrolyte.  相似文献
