In an aqueous solution at room temperature, 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-1,8-bis(methylphosphonic acid) (H(4)L(1)) and Cu(I) (I) form a pentacoordinated (pc) complex, pc-[Cu(L(1))](2-), exhibiting conformation I of the cyclam ring. At high temperature, the complex isomerises to a hexacoordinated isomer, trans-O,O-[Cu(L(1))](2-), with a trans-III conformation of the cyclam ring. In pc-[Cu(L(1))](2-), four ring nitrogen atoms and one phosphonate oxygen atom are arranged around Cu(I) (I) in a structure that is half-way between a trigonal bipyramid and a tetragonal pyramid, with one phosphonic acid group uncoordinated. In the trans-O,O-[Cu(L(1))](2-) isomer, the nitrogen atoms form a plane and the phosphonic acid groups are in a mutually trans configuration. A structurally very similar ligand, 4-methyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-1,8-bis(methylphosphonic acid) (H(4)L(2)), forms an analogous pentacoordinated complex, pc-[Cu(L(2))](2-), at room temperature. However, the complex does not isomerise to the octahedral complex analogous to trans-O,O-[Cu(L(1))](2-). Because of the high thermodynamic stability of pc-[Cu(L(1))](2-), (logbeta=25.40(4), 25 degrees C, I=0.1 mol dm(-3) KNO(3)) and the formation of protonated species, Cu(I) (I) is fully complexed in acidic solution (-log [H(+)] approximately 3). Acid-assisted decomplexation of both of the isomers of [Cu(H(2)L(1))] takes place only after protonation of both uncoordinated oxygen atoms of each phosphonate moiety and at least one nitrogen atom of the cycle. The exceptional kinetic inertness of both isomers is illustrated by their half-lives tau(1/2)=19.7 min for pc-[Cu(H(2)L(1))] and tau(1/2) about seven months for trans-O,O-[Cu(H(2)L(1))] for decomplexation in 5 M HClO(4) at 25 degrees C. The mechanism of formation of pc-[Cu(L(1))](2-) is similar to those observed for other macrocyclic complexes.  相似文献

Diffuse-reflectance Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopic (DRIFT) microanalysis (10 g samples) of a selected series of flavonoids was studied, comparing to transmission FT-IR spectroscopic analysis of the same samples at the mg level. DRIFT was shown to be a useful, sample-saving and reliable IR technique for the structural analysis and compound identification of the mainSilybum genus 3-OH-flavonolignans (silybin, isosilybin, silydianin, silychristin and isosilychristin) and the dihydroflavonol taxifolin.  相似文献

To mimic the electron-donor side of photosystem II (PSII), three trinuclear ruthenium complexes (2, 2a, 2b) were synthesized. In these complexes, a mixed-valent dinuclear Ru2(II,III) moiety with one phenoxy and two acetato bridges is covalently linked to a Ru(II) tris-bipyridine photosensitizer. The properties and photoinduced electron/energy transfer of these complexes were studied. The results show that the Ru2(II,III) moieties in the complexes readily undergo reversible one-electron reduction and one-electron oxidation to give the Ru2(II,III) and Ru2(III,III) states, respectively. This could allow for photooxidation of the sensitizer part with an external acceptor and subsequent electron transfer from the dinuclear ruthenium moiety to regenerate the sensitizer. However, all trinuclear ruthenium complexes have a very short excited-state lifetime, in the range of a few nanoseconds to less than 100 ps. Studies by femtosecond time-resolved techniques suggest that a mixture of intramolecular energy and electron transfer between the dinuclear ruthenium moiety and the excited [Ru(bpy)3]2+ photosensitizer is responsible for the short lifetimes. This problem is overcome by anchoring the complexes with ester- or carboxyl-substituted bipyridine ligands (2a, 2b) to nanocrystalline TiO2, and the desired electron transfer from the excited state of the [Ru(bpy)3]2+ moiety to the conduction band of TiO2 followed by intramolecular electron transfer from the dinuclear Ru2(II,III) moiety to photogenerated Ru(III) was observed. The resulting long-lived Ru2(III,III) state decays on the millisecond timescale.  相似文献

Methods were developed for the analysis of natural antioxidants including phenolic compounds and flavonoids in beverages and plant extracts using gradient HPLC with multi-channel electrochemical coulometric detection. Suitability of various reversed-phase columns for this purpose was compared; pH and mobile phase gradients were optimized with respect to the separation selectivity and sensitivity of detection. Because of different target compounds in various sample types, the overlapping resolution maps and the normalized resolution product approaches described earlier were used to select optimum columns and gradients to suit the analysis of the individual sample types. The methods were applied to the analysis of phenolic compounds and flavonoids in beer, wine, tea, and yacon extracts. 32 phenolic compounds were identified and determined, including derivatives of benzoic and cinnamic acids, flavones, and a few related glycosides. Eight-channel CoulArray detection offers high selectivity and sensitivity with limits of detection in the low microg L(-1) range, at least an order of magnitude lower than single-channel coulometric detection using the Coulochem detector. No special sample pretreatment is necessary and, because of the compatibility of the CoulArray detector with gradient elution, phenolic antioxidants of different polarities can be determined in a single run. In addition to the retention times, the ratios of the areas of the pre-dominant and post-dominant peaks to the area of the dominant peak can be used for improved identification of natural antioxidants.  相似文献

A sonic spray ionization liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/SSI-MS) procedure combined with off-line solid-phase extraction was optimized for the analysis of 20 endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in water samples. Method development included a comparison of the novel sonic spray ionization (SSI) with more traditional ion sources, i.e. pneumatically assisted electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI). It was demonstrated that SSI and ESI spectra were very similar, but were more prone to the formation of solvent cluster ions as compared with APCI spectra. This phenomenon was most prominent for SSI and resulted in an increased chemical background in full-scan mass spectra. However, this chemical noise did not affect the overall sensitivity of SSI and ESI. After optimization of LC and MS parameters, the LC/SSI-MS method was validated. Recoveries ranged from 76.3 up to 113.4% for all compounds. Limits of detection (LOD) and quantitation (LOQ) were established between 3.0 and 11.5 ng/L and 9.9 and 38.0 ng/L, respectively. Within-day (n = 5) and between-day (n = 5) reproducibility were investigated at three levels and ranged from 3.3-16.5% and 7.6-19.2%, respectively. Eight-point calibration curves were established and showed linearity for all compounds (r(2) > 0.987) over a linear dynamic range of 10-10 000 ng/L.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Halogen-metal exchange reaction of 9-benzyl-6-iodopurine with iPrMgCl in toluene at -80 degrees C proceeds almost quantitatively. Such a purine-derived Grignard reagent reacts selectively with aldehydes in toluene, giving the corresponding alcohols in 25-62% yield, while other functional groups such as ketones, esters, and nitriles do not react under these conditions. The reaction can be extended to protected 6-iodopurine ribonucleoside.  相似文献

One-bond Pt-Pt nuclear spin-spin coupling constants J(Pt-Pt) for closely related dinuclear Pt complexes can differ by an order of magnitude without any obvious correlation with Pt-Pt distances. As representative examples, the spin-spin couplings of the dinuclear Pt(I) complexes [Pt(2)(CO)(6)](2+) (1) and [Pt(2)(CO)(2)Cl(4)](2-) (2) have been computationally studied with a recently developed relativistic density functional method. The experimental values are (1)J((195)Pt-(195)Pt) = 5250 Hz for 2 but 551 Hz for 1. Many other examples are known in the literature. The experimental trends are well reproduced by the computations and can be explained based on the nature of the ligands that are coordinated to the Pt-Pt fragment. The difference for J(Pt-Pt) of an order of magnitude is caused by a sensitive interplay between the influence of different ligands on the Pt-Pt bond, and relativistic effects on metal-metal and metal-ligand bonds as well as on "atomic orbital contributions" to the nuclear spin-spin coupling constants. The results can be intuitively rationalized with the help of a simple qualitative molecular orbital diagram.  相似文献
