We present moments (both ordinary and Nachtmann) of the nucleon valence structure function measured in high Q2νFE scattering, supplemented by data from deep inelastic eD scattering. These data seem to agree with QCD predictions for vector gluons. The QCD parameter Λ is found to be of the order 0.5 GeV.  相似文献

Infrared picosecond accumulated photon echo experiments have been performed for the first time, using the Orsay Free Electron Laser, on the v = 0-->v = 1 transition of CO in solid nitrogen. The vibrational dephasing time is found to be exceptionally long ( T2>/=120 ns) at low temperature. The analysis of the observed spectral diffusion leads one to assume different energy transfer mechanisms depending on the CO concentration.  相似文献

The electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) properties of the electron-doped manganite La(1-x)Te(x)MnO(3) (0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) are investigated based on the data of EPR spectra, resistivity, and magnetic susceptibility. With decreasing temperature from 400 K, the EPR linewidth ΔH(PP) decreases and passes through a minimum at T(min), then substantially increases with further decreasing temperature. The broadening of the EPR linewidth above T(min) can be understood in terms of the increase in the relaxation rate of spin of e(g) polarons to the lattice with increasing temperature due to the similarity between the temperature dependence of the linewidth ΔH(pp)(T) and the conductivity σ(T). For the samples with x = 0.1 and 0.15, the conductivity activation energy E(σ) is comparable with the activation energy E(a) deduced from the linewidth. Whereas for the x = 0.2 sample, there is a large difference between E(σ) (0.2206 eV) and E(a) (0.0874 eV).  相似文献

The first soft x-ray radiation flux measurements from hohlraums using both a 96 and a 192 beam configuration at the National Ignition Facility have shown high x-ray conversion efficiencies of ~85%-90%. These experiments employed gold vacuum hohlraums, 6.4 mm long and 3.55 mm in diameter, heated with laser energies between 150-635 kJ. The hohlraums reached radiation temperatures of up to 340 eV. These hohlraums for the first time reached coronal plasma conditions sufficient for two-electron processes and coronal heat conduction to be important for determining the radiation drive.  相似文献

We show, by means of low-energy muon-spin rotation measurements, that few-unit-cells thick La(2)CuO(4) layers synthesized digitally by molecular beam epitaxy are antiferromagnetically ordered. Below a thickness of about 5 CuO(2) layers the long-range ordered state breaks down, and a magnetic state appears with enhanced quantum fluctuations and a reduced spin stiffness. This magnetic state can exist in close proximity (few ?) to high-temperature superconducting layers, without transmitting supercurrents.  相似文献

A highly surface sensitive technique based on elastic scattering of low-energy helium atoms has been used to probe the conditions in the topmost molecular layer on ice in the temperature range of 150-191 K. The elastically scattered intensity decreased slowly as the temperature was increased to about 180 K, followed by a rapid decrease at higher temperatures. An effective surface Debye temperature of 185+/-10 K was calculated from the data below 180 K. The changes in the ice surface above 180 K are interpreted as the onset of an anomalous enhancement of the mean square vibrational amplitude for the surface molecules and/or the onset of a limited amount of disorder in the ice surface. The interpretation is consistent with earlier experimental studies and molecular dynamics simulations. The observed changes above 180 K can be considered as the first sign of increased mobility of water molecules in the ice surface, which ultimately leads to the formation of a quasiliquid layer at higher temperatures. A small shift and broadening of the specular peak was also observed in the range of 150-180 K and the effect is explained by the inherent corrugation of the crystalline ice surface. The peak shift became more pronounced with increasing temperature, which indicates that surface corrugation increases as the temperature approaches 180 K. The results have implications for the properties and surface chemistry of atmospheric ice particles, and may contribute to the understanding of solvent effects on the internal molecular motion of hydrated proteins and other organic structures such as DNA.  相似文献

We have imaged hard x-ray (>100 keV) bremsstrahlung emission from energetic electrons slowing in a plastic ablator shell during indirectly driven implosions at the National Ignition Facility. We measure 570 J in electrons with E>100 keV impinging on the fusion capsule under ignition drive conditions. This translates into an acceptable increase in the adiabat α, defined as the ratio of total deuterium-tritium fuel pressure to Fermi pressure, of 3.5%. The hard x-ray observables are consistent with detailed radiative-hydrodynamics simulations, including the sourcing and transport of these high energy electrons.  相似文献
