Currently there is a strong interest in plasmonic materials operating in the near‐infrared (NIR), however, conventional metals such as gold and silver possess high optical losses in this region. In this work we demonstrate localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) with low loss in the NIR region by utilizing atomic layer deposition to deposit thin films of aluminium doped zinc oxide onto silicon nanopillars created via nanopshere lithography. The deposited films have excellent conformality and the LSPRs can be tuned from the mid‐infrared to the NIR by controlling the doping concentration, deposition temperature and nanostructure morphology. A transfer of a VA-SWNT film onto a conductive surface has been achieved using a novel "flip-over" technique. The top surface of a VA-SWNT film was covered by entangled bundles in an as-grown sample. When a VA-SWNT film was flipped over, an optically flat surface consisting of the tips of very well aligned, clean bundles from the bottom of the film are exposed while the top of the film is well contacted to the substrate. Thus, we expect this technique to provide us with means to prepare carbon nanotube electrodes for device applications such as super capacitors, thermo-electric devices, fuel cells, and field emission filaments. 相似文献

The58Ni(30Si,αpn)82Y reaction at a beam energy of 134 MeV was used to populate the odd-odd nucleus82Y and coincidentγ rays depopulating high spin states in the evaporation residues were detected with the EUROGAM Phase 2 array. A superdeformed structure has been observed with an intensity of 1.5±0.5%. The cascade of 9 coincidentγ rays has consecutive energy spacing of ~160 keV. This corresponds to a dynamic moment of inertia which is almost constant at approx mately 25h 2 MeV?1. The band is interpreted as a signature=0, negative parity SD band with aπ51 V52 intrinsic intruder configuration. 相似文献

The design and testing of a new emulsifying liquid scintillant for the radioassay of aqueous samples is described. The scintillant is based on cyclohexylbenzene which has a high flash point and low toxicity. A suitable combination of surfactant and cyclohexylbenzene/PPO scintillator was developed by the construction and comparison of triangular contour diagrams, as described by FOX1 for each, of several commonly-encountered aqueous sample types. The chosen ölend of surfactant, cyclohexylbenzene and PPO was further refined with a second surfactant. This was achieved by the construction of a diagram of temperature v.s. water content for each of several blends, each containing a different surfactant combination. Similar diagrams were constructed to illustrate the compatibility of several aqueous sample types with the chosen composition. Given the close ties between general relativity and geometry one might reasonably expect that quantum effects associated with gravitation might also be tied to the geometry of space-time, namely, to some sort of discreteness in space-time itself. In particular we suppose space-time to consist of a discrete lattice of points rather than the usual continuum. Since astronomical evidence seems to suggest that the universe is expanding, we also demand that the lattice is expanding. Liquid anhydrous sulfuric acid forms molecular "shells" wrapped around single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). Temperature-dependent X-ray scattering from aligned acid-swollen fibers shows that crystallization of the bulklike acid surrounding the structured shells is templated by the aligned SWNTs, while the structured shells remain partly ordered, at least for temperatures from 100 to 500 K. The (2 0 0) or ( 0 2) planes of the templated H2SO4 crystallites are parallel to the nanotube axes. This provides solid evidence for the direct protonation of SWNT since the molecules are terminated by hydrogen bonds. 相似文献

Through ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy with intense pump pulses and a wide continuum probe, we show that interband exciton peaks in single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are extremely stable under high laser excitations. Estimates of the initial densities of excitons from the excitation conditions, combined with recent theoretical calculations of exciton Bohr radii for SWNTs, suggest that their positions do not change at all even near the Mott density. In addition, we found that the presence of lowest-subband excitons broadens all absorption peaks, including those in the second-subband range, which provides a consistent explanation for the complex spectral dependence of pump-probe signals reported for SWNTs. 相似文献
