Fluorine-containing Heterocycles: X. Acetoacetamides in the Synthesis of Fluorine-containing Chromone

Fluorine-containing chromone-3-carboxamides were synthesized by reaction of tetra(penta)fluoro-benzoyl chlorides with acetoacetamides in dichloromethane in the presence of triethylamine. Nucleophilic substitution of fluorine atoms by amine rests in compounds synthesized was investigated.

Ytterbium-Containing Oxide Catalysts for Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Hydrocarbons

Oxide catalyst samples for the oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of alkanes were prepared by heat treatment of precursors, namely, hydrotalcite-related magnesium aluminum double hydroxo salts containing ytterbium, as well as magnesium, aluminum, chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and niobium in various combinations. Their catalytic activities were studied. Some catalysts were found to have high efficiency in ODH of ethane, propane, and isobutane, increasing the product yield and enhancing the reaction selectivity.     

Fluorocontaining Heterocycles: IX. Derivatives of Imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazine

The heating of derivatives of benzimidazole-2-thione and imidazolidine-2-thione with tetra(penta)fluorobenzoyl chlorides in toluene or pyridine gave rise to fluorocontaining derivatives of imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazine. The latter were studied in reactions of nucleophilic substitution of fluorine for amino groups.     

Light-sensitive chalcone-containing poly(amido imides)

Soluble poly(amido imides) and copoly(amido imides) containing main-and side-chain chromophore chalcone groups have been synthesized. Thermo-and photocrosslinking of polymer chains in films under UV irradiation have been studied. The mechanical properties, dielectric behavior, and photosensitivity and photoconductivity characteristics of the polymers have been investigated.     

Fluorine-Containing Heterocycles: VIII. Transformations of 2-Polyfluorobenzoylacrylates Having a Thiosemicarbazide Fragment

Depending on the conditions, 3-(4-R-thiosemicarbazido)-2-polyfluorobenzoylacrylates can be converted into the corresponding potassium salts, [1,3,4]thiadiazino[6,5,4-ij]quinolines, and pyrazole or 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives.     

Alkoxylation ofC-chlorovinylsilanes

The alkoxylation and isopropylideneiminoxylation ofC-chlorovinylmethylchlorosilanes with various alcohols and acetone oxime were investigated. A series of newC-chlorovinylmethylalkoxy- and -isopropylideneiminoxysilanes was characterized by IR and¹H NMR spectra. The effect of the number of chlorine atoms inC-chlorovinylmethylchlorosilanes on their reactivity in these reactions was determined.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Synthesis of complex hydroxo salts of magnesium, nickel, cobalt, aluminum, and bismuth and oxide catalysts on their base

Synthesis methods have been developed for the precursors of oxide catalysts that include the combination of magnesium nickel cobalt aluminum hydroxocarbonate, with a layered hydrotalcite-type structure and decavanadate and paramolybdate ions in the anion layers, and bismuth hydroxocarbonate. On the base of these precursors, multicomponent oxide catalysts have been manufactured for the oxidative dehydrogenation (OD) of light alkanes. Some of these catalysts showed high selectivities and high product yields in the conversion of ethane to ethylene.
