In this work, we show that it is possible to change the properties of an optical vortex formed in a speckle pattern by the control of an external electric field applied to a sillenite-type photorefractive material in a non-holographic configuration. To show it, a scheme that allows the recovering of both, the polarization state and the phase distribution of an optical field was implemented. Changes in the polarization state of the light in the neighborhood of the vortex were observed with the application of an external electric field. Likewise, changes in the phase structure around the vortex and displacements of the vortices themselves were measured. These displacements have a fairly linear dependence on the applied field to the photorefractive crystal. Experimental results are qualitatively explained with the theoretical treatment of non-holographic recording in photorefractive crystals. 相似文献

The thiol-catalysed cyclization of acyl radicals generated directly from benzaldehyde precursors has been investigated. Hindered β-benzyloxyacrylates cyclize efficiently providing a tin-free radical cyclization approach to the serine/threonine kinase AKT inhibitor frenolicin B, whilst γ-aryloxy crotonates give good yields of benzopyran-4-ones. A specific flow rules and the corresponding constitutive elasto-viscoplastic model combined with new experimental strategy are introduced in order to represent a spheroidal graphite cast-iron behaviour on a wide range of strain, strain rate and temperature. A “full model” is first proposed to correctly reproduce the alloy behaviour even for very small strain levels. A “light model” with a bit poorer experimental agreement but a simpler formulation is also proposed. These macroscopic models, whose equations are based on physical phenomena observed at the dislocation scale, are able to cope with the various load conditions tested – progressive straining and cyclic hardening tests – and to correctly describe anisothermal evolution. The accuracy of these two models and the experimental databases to which they are linked is estimated on different types of experimental tests and compared with the accuracy of more standard Chaboche-type constitutive models. Each test leads to the superiority of the “full model”, particularly for slow strain rates regimes. After developing a material user subroutine, FEM simulations are performed on Abaqus for a car engine exhaust manifold and confirm the good results obtained from the experimental basis. We obtain more accurate results than those given by more traditional laws. A very good correlation is observed between the simulations and the engine bench tests. 相似文献

A discretization of the quantum mechanical phase space is presented in the context of q-noncommutative structures. We give two generalizations of the Heisenberg algebra in the arising lattice phase space. In contrast to ordinary quantum mechanics, there is, a priori, no systematic approach to an integrable oscillator Hamiltonian in lattice quantum mechanics. This is the central obstacle to deal with in this Letter. To do so, we show how in general the integrability of the harmonic oscillator is related to the Fourier transform between momentum and space variables. This will be done in both cases, the continuous and the discrete one. As an application, we finally obtain an integrable lattice Hamiltonian for the harmonic oscillator with generalized Hermite eigenfunctions. 相似文献

There is presently a concern because the US Postal Service now has 8 electron beam accelerators to treat mail in locations along the east coast and that a sufficient dosage to destroy Anthrax is also strong enough to darken and weaken the paper in the postal envelopes. In addition to direct photolytic scission of the cellulose chain, irradiation darkens paper, swells pulp fibres, increases hygroscopicity, and renders the cellulose more soluble in alkaline solution and more susceptible to acid hydrolysis. This report will focus on the effect of electron beam irradiation on degradation of cellulose of fine papers. Three reference papers were selected, sorted into postal envelopes and exposed to electron beam irradiation. The results have shown that irradiation at the dosage used to treat mail by the US Postal Service depolymerizes and oxidizes the cellulose. Depolymerization is responsible for a decrease of paper strength while oxidation induces darkening of the paper. Irradiating at high electron beam energy is less damaging than using lower energy. Moreover, linear relationships have been found between the number of chain scission (CSN) in cellulose and the irradiation dosage as well as between CSN and Zero-Span Breaking Length.
