The kinetics of the oxidative additions of haloheteroarenes HetX (X=I, Br, Cl) to [Pd0(PPh3)2] (generated from [Pd0(PPh3)4]) have been investigated in THF and DMF and the rate constants have been determined. In contrast to the generally accepted concerted mechanism, Hammett plots obtained for substituted 2‐halopyridines and solvent effects reveal a reaction mechanism dependent on the halide X of HetX: an unprecedented SNAr‐type mechanism for X=Br or Cl and a classical concerted mechanism for X=I. Abstract Broadband UV-irradiation of methylacetate isolated in argon matrices causes rather strong modifications to appear in the IR spectrum. Evidence was obtained for a photochemical interconversion of the stable Z-conformer into the less stable E-conformer followed by photolytic decomposition of the latter into stable products. Most of these products could be identified from their IR absorptions. The reverse E→Z interconversion is a thermal process with an activation energy of about 10 kJmole?1. A normal coordinate analysis based on a transferable valence force field obtained from the literature allowed to assign approximate IR frequencies of E-methylacetate. 相似文献

This study identified the isoindolone ring as a scaffold for novel agents against Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense and explored the structure-activity relationships of various aromatic ring substitutions. The compounds were evaluated in an integrated in vitro screen. Eight compounds exhibited selective activity against T. b. rhodesiense (IC50<2.2 μm ) with no detectable side activity against T. cruzi and Leishmania infantum. Compound 20 showed low nanomolar potency against T. b. rhodesiense (IC50=40 nm ) and no toxicity against MRC-5 and PMM cell lines and may be regarded as a new lead template for agents against T. b. rhodesiense. The isoindolone-based compounds have the potential to progress into lead optimization in view of their highly selective in vitro potency, absence of cytotoxicity and acceptable metabolic stability. However, the solubility of the compounds represents a limiting factor that should be addressed to improve the physicochemical properties that are required to proceed further in the development of in vivo-active derivatives. 相似文献

Multiple applications of isothioureas as fine chemicals (or their precursors) are known, but a general sustainable method for their synthesis was hitherto unavailable. We report a novel general approach towards S‐alkyl and S‐aryl isothioureas through a copper(I)‐catalyzed three‐component reaction between amines, isocyanides, and thiosulfonates. Isocyanides are diverse C1 building blocks considering their potential to react with nucleophiles, electrophiles, and radicals. Therefore, perhaps not surprisingly, isocyanides are highly valuable as inputs for multicomponent reactions (MCRs) and other one‐pot cascade processes. In the field of organometallic chemistry, isocyanides typically serve as ligands for transition metals. The coordination of isocyanides to metal centers alters the electronic distribution of the isocyano moiety, and reaction pathways can therefore be accessed that are not possible in the absence of the metal. The tunable reactivity of the isocyanide functional group by transition metals has evolved into numerous useful applications. Especially palladium‐catalyzed isocyanide insertion processes have emerged as powerful reactions in the past decade. However, reports on the use of earth‐abundant and cheap base metals in these types of transformations are scarce and have received far less attention. In this Minireview, we focus on these emerging base metal catalyzed reactions and highlight their potential in synthetic organic chemistry. Although mechanistic studies are still scarce, we discuss distinct proposed catalytic cycles and categorize the literature according to 1) the (hetero)atom bound to and 2) the type of bonding with the transition metal in which the (formal) insertion occurs. 相似文献

The design of covalent adaptable networks (CANs) relies on the ability to trigger the rearrangement of bonds within a polymer network. Simple activated alkynes are now used as versatile reversible cross‐linkers for thiols. The click‐like thiol–yne cross‐linking reaction readily enables network synthesis from polythiols through a double Michael addition with a reversible and tunable second addition step. The resulting thioacetal cross‐linking moieties are robust but dynamic linkages. A series of different activated alkynes have been synthesized and systematically probed for their ability to produce dynamic thioacetal linkages, both in kinetic studies of small molecule models, as well as in stress relaxation and creep measurements on thiol–yne‐based CANs. The results are further rationalized by DFT calculations, showing that the bond exchange rates can be significantly influenced by the choice of the activated alkyne cross‐linker. 相似文献

The microwave spectra of methyl isocyanide and its 15N derivative in the 3ν8 state have been observed from 40 to 180 GHz. After the assignment by a graphical method, the analysis has been carried out, first by the reuse of analytical formulas and then by the diagonalization of the energy matrix. Many accidental resonances have been shown to occur between the l = ±1 states, and A1A2 doublings for K, l = ±3, ±3 have been discovered. Non-Fellerian particle systems are characterized by nonlocal interactions, somewhat analogous to non-Gibbsian distributions.
They exhibit new phenomena that are unseen in standard interacting particle systems. We consider freezing transitions in one-dimensional
non-Fellerian processes which are built from the abelian sandpile additions to which in one case, spin flips are added, and
in another case, so called anti-sandpile subtractions. In the first case and as a function of the sandpile addition rate,
there is a sharp transition from a non-trivial invariant measure to the trivial invariant measure of the sandpile process.
