Mono-, bis- and tris-(1,3,2,4-dithiadiazolium) salts [R-(CNSNS +)n]n+[AsF-6]n (R = aryl, n = 1, 2, 3) were found to initiate the cationic ring-opening polymerization of tetrahydrofuran (THF) at room temperature to give clear gels from which the pure polymer was precipitated. 1,3,2,4-Dithiadiazolium cations associated with the hard [AsF6]- anion thus constitute a new class of cationic polymerization initiators. The poly(THF) formed by initiation with 1,3,2,4-dithiadiazolium cation was characterized by gel permeation chromatography, infrared spectrophotometry, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. Number-average molecular weights of 198 700 g mol-1 (polydispersity 1.96) and 190 000 g mol-1 (polydispersity 1.61) were obtained using [PhCNSNS ] [AsF6] and [C6H3-1,3,5-(CNSNS )3][AsF6]3, respectively, as initiators. The use of multifunctional dithiadiazolium salts as initiators suggests that they may be useful in the preparation of starburst and dendritic polymers. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Reactions of sulphate radical anion (SO·4 -) with 4,6-dihydroxy-2-methyl pyrimidine (DHMP), 2,4-dimethyl-6-hydroxy pyrimidine (DMHP), 6-methyl uracil (MU) and 5,6-dimethyl uracil (DMU) have been studied by pulse radiolysis at pH 3 and at pH 10. The transient intermediate spectra were compared with those from the reaction of hydroxyl radical (·OH). It is proposed that SO·4 - produces radical cations of these pyrimidines in the initial stage. These radical cations are short-lived except in the case of DMHP where a relatively longer lived radical cation is proposed to be formed. When there is a hydrogen atom attached to the N(1) or N(3) position, a deprotonation from these sites is highly favored. When there is no hydrogen attached to these sites, deprotonation from a substituted methyl group is favored. At acidic pH, deprotonation from nitrogen is observed for DHMP, MU and DMU. At basic pH, the radical cation reacts with OH- leading to the formation of OH adducts.  相似文献

A number of mesoionic thiazolo[3,2-a ]pyrimidine-5,7-diones, isoconjugate mesoionic analogs of xanthinc, were prepared by the condensation of 2-alkylaminothiazoles with bis(2,4,6-trichloro-phenyl)malonate esters. The ground state molecular properties and reactions of these compounds were found to be consistent with predictions based upon previous SCF molecular orbital treatments of the π-systems of these analogs.  相似文献

The low-lying singlet and triplet states of H2CBe and HCBeH are examined using ab inito molecular orbital theory. In agreement with earlier results, the lowest-lying structure of H2CBe has C2v symmetry and is a triplet with one π electron (3 B1). The results presented here suggest that the lowest-energy singlet structure is the (1B1) open-shell singlet, also with C2v symmetry, at least 2.5 kcal/mol higher in energy. The singlet C2v structure with two π electrons (1A1) is 15.9 kcal/mol higher than 3B1. All of these structures are bound with respect to the ground state of methylene and the beryllium atom. In HCBeH, linear equilibrium geometries are found for the triplet (3Σ) and singlet (1Δ) states. The triplet is more stable than the singlet (1Δ) by 35.4 kcal/mol, and is only 2.9 kcal/mol higher in energy than triplet H2 CBe. Since the transition structure connecting these two triplet molecules is found to be 50.2 kcal/mol higher in energy than H2 CBe, both triplet equilibrium species might exist independently. The harmonic vibrational frequencies of all structures are also reported.  相似文献

In this paper an approximative procedure to determine of the most probable model of oxide film originating at thermal oxidation of GaAs single-crystal samples within the temperature range 480–530 °C is proposed. The crystal structure of one of the simplest organoboron compounds, trimethyl borate does not appear to have been determined hitherto. The compound is of interest for the study of π‐donor ligands and their interaction with the π‐acceptor behavior of trigonal boron and the consequences of such interactions on molecular structure. We used powder neutron (with isotopically labeled material) and X‐ray diffraction to determine the crystal structure of trimethyl borate at 15 K and 200 K (neutron) and 200 K (X‐ray). The material is hexagonal (Z = 2) with a = b = 6.950(8) Å and c = 6.501(3) Å at 15 K. The unit cell volume is 272.00(1) Å3. The space group is P63/m (SG 176) at 15 K and 200 K. This is the first crystal structure solved on the Neutron Powder Diffractometer (NPDF) at the Lujan Center.  相似文献

A simple and high-yielding method for the preparation of cyclopropane amino acids is described. The novel method involves the one-pot cyclopropanation of readily available dehydroamino acids using aryl and unsaturated diazo compounds generated in situ from the corresponding tosylhydrazone salts. It was found that thermal 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition followed by nitrogen extrusion gave the cyclopropane amino acid derivatives with good E selectivity, while reactions in the presence of meso-tetraphenylporphyrin iron chloride gave predominantly the corresponding Z isomers. The synthetic utility of this process was demonstrated in the synthesis of (+/-)-(Z)-2,3-methanophenylalanine [(+/-)-(Z)-1], the anti-Parkinson (+/-)-(E)-2,3-methano-m-tyrosine [(+/-)-(E)-2], and the natural product (+/-)-coronamic acid [(+/-)-3].  相似文献
