A newly modified electrode was prepared by mechanical immobilization of copper hexacyanoferrate (CuHCF) on a graphite electrode. The modified electrode was characterized by cyclic voltammetric experiments. The effect of different background electrolytes, pHs and scan rates on the electrochemical behaviour of the electrode has been evaluated. In NH4Cl two reversible redox peaks were observed. The first redox peak corresponding to Cu+/Cu2+ is observed only in this medium. The second redox peak corresponds to the Fe(CN)6 4–/Fe(CN)6 3– couple. Both anodic peaks were used for catalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid. As the anodic current for catalytic oxidation was proportional to the amount of ascorbic acid, an analytical method was developed for the determination of ascorbic acid in commercial samples.  相似文献

Functionalized polypyrrole films were prepared by incorporation of Fe(CN)6 3− as doping anion during the electropolymerization of pyrrole at a glassy carbon electrode from aqueous solution. The electrochemical behavior of the Fe(CN)6 3−/Fe(CN)6 4− redox couple in polypyrrole was studied by cyclic voltammetry. An obvious surface redox reaction was observed and dependence of this reaction on the solution pH was illustrated. The electrocatalytic ability of polypyrrole film with ferrocyanide incorporated was demonstrated by oxidation of ascorbic acid at the optimized pH of 4 in a glycine buffer. The catalytic effect for mediated oxidation of ascorbic acid was 300 mV and the bimolecular rate constant determined for surface coverage of 4.5 × 10−8 M cm−2 using rotating disk electrode voltammetry was 86 M−1 s−1. Furthermore, the catalytic oxidation current was linearly dependent on ascorbic acid concentration in the range 5 × 10−4–1.6 × 10−2 M with a correlation coefficient of 0.996. The plot of i p versus v 1/2 confirms the diffusion nature of the peak current i p. Received: 12 April 1999 / Accepted: 25 May 1999  相似文献

Cuprous oxide nanowhisker was prepared by using cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CATB) as soft template, and was characterized by XRD and TEM methods. The electrochemical properties of nano‐Cu2O and nano‐Cu2O‐methylene blue (MB) modified electrode were studied. The experimental results indicate that nano‐Cu2O shows a couple of redox peaks corresponding to the redox of Cu(II)/Cu(I), the peak currents are linear to the scan rates which demonstrate that the electrochemical response of Cu2O is surface‐controlled. The composite nano‐Cu2O‐Nafion‐MB modified electrode shows a trend of decrease of peak currents corresponding to the Cu (II)/Cu (I). However, the electrocatalytic ability of nano‐Cu2O‐MB composite film to dopamine increases dramatically. At this composite electrode, dopamine shows a couple of quasireversible redox peaks with a peak separation of 106 mV, the peak current increases about 8 times and the oxidation peak potential decreases about 200 mV as compared to that at bare glassy carbon electrode. The peak currents change linearly with concentration of dopamine from 1×10?7 to 3.2×10?4 mol/L, the detection limit is 4.6×10?8 mol/L. The composite electrode can effectively eliminate the interference of ascorbic acid and has better stability and excellent reproducibility.  相似文献

The catalytic effects of metal ions on the anodic oxidation of ascorbic acid on a Pt electrode in 1 M HClO4 were studied by linear sweep voltammetry. The anodic peak due to a two-electron oxidation of ascorbic acid shifts to the negative potential side on the addition of Bi3+. This indicates the accelerating effect of Bi3+ on the oxidation of ascorbic acid. The presence of other metal ions, such as Pb2+, Hg2+, Tl+, Ag+ and Sb3+, also exerts similar effects. These metal ions were adsorbed on a Pt electrode at underpotentials and the adsorbed metals (denoted as Mad) still remain on the electrode surface until the electrode potential goes up to and beyond the peak potential of the oxidation of ascorbic acid. On the other hand, metal ions forming no adsorbed layer on Pt, such as Co2+, Zn2+, Fe3+ and Ni2+, exhibit no catalytic effect. These facts suggest that the presence of a Mad on Pt is essential for the promotion of the anodic oxidation of ascorbic acid. However, there is a difference in the catalytic action among the Mad, for example, Cuad, Cdad, Inad, Snad and Moad display no catalytic action. The catalytic activity depends on the degree of surface coverage by the Mad. The maximal effect of the Mad is attained in the submonolayer region. The effects of metal ions were discussed on the basis that the Mad plays its major role in the removal of the adsorbed ascorbic acid occupying active sites on the electrode surface, and provides effective sites for the activation of adjacent water molecules. Furthermore, from the 13C NMR spectra for the oxidation products, the adsorbed water on the Mad appears to function by promoting the subsequent hydration steps, following the electron-transfer step of ascorbic acid.  相似文献

A novel biosensor by electrochemical codeposited Pt‐Fe(III) nanocomposites and DNA film was constructed and applied to the detection of uric acid (UA) in the presence of high concentration of ascorbic acid (AA). Based on its strong catalytic activity toward the oxidation of UA and AA, the modified electrode resolved the overlapping voltammetric response of UA and AA into two well‐defined peaks with a large anodic peak difference (ΔEpa) of about 380mV. The catalytic peak current obtained from differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was linearly dependent on the UA concentration from 3.8×10?6 to 1.6×10?4 M (r=0.9967) with coexistence of 5.0×10?4 M AA. The detection limit was 1.8×10?6 M (S/N=3) and the presence of 20 times higher concentration of AA did not interfere with the determination. The modified electrode shows good sensitivity, selectivity and stability.  相似文献

A ‘self-doped’ polyaniline modified microelectrode, prepared by cyclic potential sweep on a microdisk gold electrode from –0.2 to 0.85 V in 0.5 mol/L sulfuric acid containing aniline and o-aminobenzoic acid, has been developed. The copolymerized process and the resulting polymer characteristics were investigated in detail. This composite film indicated a good electrochemical activity in a wide pH range even in basic solution. Meanwhile, the redox couple exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of ascorbic acid. The oxidation overpotential of ascorbic acid was decreased over 200 mV at this modified electrode compared with a bare gold one. Moreover, the effects of film thickness and pH on the catalytic efficiency were further studied. The dependence of catalytic currents on the concentration of ascorbic acid was linear in the range of 1.2 × 10–5∼ 2.4 × 10–3 mol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.996. Also, the determination of ascorbic acid in actual samples was evaluated and the results are satisfactory. Received: 7 October 1997 / Revised: 3 February 1998 / Accepted: 7 February 1998  相似文献

The potentials of the anodic peak of ascorbic acid oxidation and the potential differences of anodic and cathodic peaks (ΔE p) of the hydroquinone/benzoquinone redox system at an electrode made of a graphite-epoxy composite are determined in weakly acidic and neutral supporting electrolytes by direct and cyclic voltammetry. The results obtained are compared with thermodynamic values and with the available values of these parameters at different solid electrodes for the above-mentioned redox systems. The effect of aging of the surface of electrodes made of graphite-epoxy composites on the potentials and peak currents of the anodic oxidation of ascorbic acid are studied. It is demonstrated that the regeneration of the electrode surface by mechanically cutting thin layers is important for reducing the δE p value of the hydroquinone/benzoquinone redox system down to 28–30 mV in supporting electrolytes with pH 2.0 and 7.0. This value is typical of thermodynamically reversible electrode reactions involving two-electron transfer at 20–25°C.  相似文献

A pyrocatechol sulfonephthalein- (PS-) modified glassy carbon (PS/GC) electrode has been prepared by adsorption of PS on a glassy carbon electrode surface. Cyclic voltammograms of the PS/GC electrode indicate the presence of a couple of well-defined redox peaks, and the formal potential shifts in the negative direction with increasing solution pH. The relation between formal potential,E0′, and solution pH can be fit to the equationE0′(mV) = −51.4 pH + 538.7. The PS/GC electrode shows high electrocatalytic activity toward ascorbic acid oxidation, with an overpotential ca. 380 mV less than that of the bare electrode and a drastic enhancement of the anodic currents. The electrocatalytic reaction rate constant (k), which was decreased with increasing concentration of H2A, was determined using rotating disk electrode measurements. The values ofkwas also affected by the solution pH. The electrode can also separate the electrochemical responses of ascorbic acid and dopamine. The separation between the anodic peak potentials of ascorbic acid and dopamine is more than 50 mV by the differential pulse voltammetry.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode was modified with electropolymerized film of diphenylamine sulfonic acid (DPASA). Electropolymerization was performed by cyclic voltammetry in 0.1 M KCl solution. The modified electrode showed an excellent electrocatalytic effect towards oxidation of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA). Electrostatic interaction between the negatively charged poly(DPASA) film and either cationic DA species or anionic AA species favorably contributed to the redox response of DA and AA. Anodic peaks of DA and AA in their mixture were well separated by ca 168 and −11.8 mV. The proposed modified electrode was utilized for selective determination of dopamine in the concentration range of 5.0 × 10t7–2.0 × 10−5 M in the presence of high concentration of ascorbic acid. Detection limit was 6.5 × 10−9 M.  相似文献

LaFeO3 nanoparticles of approximately 22 nm in size were synthesized and characterized by XRD and TEM. A novel glassy carbon electrode modified with LaFeO3 nanoparticles was constructed and characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode exhibited strong promoting effect and high stability toward the electrochemical oxidation of dopamine (DA), which gave reversible redox peaks with a formal potential of 0.145 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution. The anodic peak current (measured by constant potential amperometry) increased linearly with the concentration of dopamine in the range from 1.5?×?10?7 to 8.0?×?10?4 M. The detection limit was 3.0?×?10?8 M. The relative standard deviation of eight successive scans was 3.47% for 1.0?×?10?6 M DA. The interference by ascorbic acid was eliminated efficiently. The method was used to determine DA in dopamine hydrochloride injections and showed excellent sensitivity and recovery.  相似文献

The development of a simple, sensitive, selective, and stable amperometric nitric oxide microsensor is described. It is based on Ni(chitin)2 mediators immobilized on a platinum, Nafion modified electrode. The detection of NO is based on the Ni(chitin)2 catalysis of NO oxidation at an anodic potential of +0.74 V (vs. SCE). The catalytic peak current is linear for a NO concentration in the range of 8.5 × 10–8 mol/L to 1.5 × 10–5 mol/L, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9992. The detection limit of the microsensor is 5.0 × 10–8 mol/L. It is suitable for the direct measurement of NO in biological systems. This work reports a comprehensive electroanalytical study of carbon nanohorns (CNHs) in electrochemical applications. Compared to other types of carbons, the bare CNHs electrode exhibited higher peak current densities and lowest anodic peak‐to‐cathodic peak separation of less than 50 mV for the [Fe(CN)4?]6/[Fe(CN)3?]6 redox couple. Furthermore, CNHs exhibited excellent electrocatalyst supporting properties for porous Pt film towards methanol oxidation reaction reaching a peak current density of 127 mA cm?2 or peak current mass activity 184 mA mgPt?1. Regarding oxygen reduction reaction, an onset potential as positive as 0. 77 V vs. Ag/AgCl was achieved with CNHs/porous Pt film.  相似文献

A new thiol-derivatized metalloporphyrin, 5-{3-methoxyl-4-(4-mercaptobutoxy)}phenyl-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrincobalt (MBPPCo), has been synthesized. The electrochemical behavior of unitary or binary self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of MBPPCo and thiols with carboxylic terminal groups was investigated using Fe(CN)6 3−/4− and ascorbic acid (AA) as probe species. The binary modified electrode showed a small increase in peak current but a large decrease in overpotential. However, in anionic electroactive species [Fe(CN)6 3−/4− or AA], either positively charged MBPPCo or negatively charged thiol SAMs solely, slow electron transfer kinetics was obtained and the possible reasons for the discrepancy are discussed.  相似文献

In this study, a grafted polymer (GP) with ZnO nanoparticles (GP/ZnO NPs) was attached on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE), in order to produce a new modified electrode (GP/ZnO NPs-GCE). The gamma irradiation method was used to grafted polystyrene (polymer) with acrylonitrile (monomer), while slow evaporation process was used to prepare the new modified electrode. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) of K4[Fe(CN)6] was used to study the electrochemical properties GP/ZnO NPs-GCE. The peak separation (ΔEpa-c) was 500 mV between the redox peaks of Fe(II)/Fe(III) in an aqueous solution of 1 M KCl and the current ratio of redox current peaks (Ipa/Ipc) was ≈ 1 for the modified electrode. This indicated that the modified electrode has s good reversibility and conductivity, wherefore; it was applied in the voltammetric filed. It was found that the modified electrode GP/ZnO NPs-GCE have a reasonable solubility and stability at various pH medium. Additionally, the sensitivity of the electrochemical analysis by cyclic voltammetric (CV) method is extensively subjected to the pH medium and the scan rate (SR). A couple of redox current peaks of K4[Fe(CN)6] in KCl solution was observed with a reversible process: Fe3+/Fe2+. Finally a good diffusion coefficient of electroactive species (D) for the new modified electrode was found in this study by chronoamperometry method using Cottrell equation.  相似文献

The present work describes oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) at octacyanomolybdate‐doped‐glutaraldehyde‐cross‐linked poly‐L ‐lysine (PLL‐GA‐Mo(CN) film modified glassy carbon electrode in 0.1 M H2SO4. The modified electrode has been successfully prepared by means of electrostatically trapping Mo(CN) mediator in the cationic film of glutaraldehyde‐cross‐linked poly‐L ‐lysine. The dependence of peak current of modified electrode in pure supporting indicates that the charge transfer in the film was a mixed process at low scan rates (5 to 200 mV s?1), and kinetically restrained at higher scan rates (200 to 1000 mV s?1). Cyclic voltammetry and rotating disk electrode (RDE) techniques are used to investigate the electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid and compared with its oxidation at bare and undoped PLL‐GA film coated electrodes. The rate constant of catalytic reaction k obtained from RDE analysis was found to be 9.5×105 cm3 mol?1 s?1. The analytical determination of ascorbic acid has been carried out using RDE technique over the physiological interest of ascorbic acid concentrations with a sensitivity of 75 μA mM?1. Amperometric estimation of AA in stirred solution shows a sensitivity of 15 μA mM?1 over the linear concentration range between 50 and 1200 μM. Interestingly, PLL‐GA‐Mo(CN) modified electrode facilitated the oxidation of ascorbic acid but not responded to other electroactive biomolecules such as dopamine, uric acid, NADH, glucose. This unique feature of PLL‐GA‐Mo(CN) modified electrode allowed for the development of a highly selective method for the determination of ascorbic acid in the presence of interferents.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The preparation and electrochemical characteristics of electrodes modified by cobalt complexes of N, N' - bis(salicylidene)-ethane -1, 2- diamine (salen) are described. A cobalt-salen polymer film modified electrode has strong electro-catalytic effects for the oxidation of ascorbic acid. The anodic peak potential of ascorbic acid shifted negatively for 400 m V. The catalytic reaction rate constant determined by rotating disk experiments is 7.08×105 mol s?1 cm3. The catalytic mechanism and the effect of film thickness are discussed. A sensitive voltammetric response for ascorbic acid was obtained covering a linear range from 1.0×10?6 to 1.0×10?3 mol-L?1 The modified electrode showed good stability and reproducibility. The electrode was used to the determination of ascorbic acid in fruit juices and showed promising results compared with conventional methods. The electro-catalytic effect of several metal-salen complexes and a similar Schiff base derivative for ascorbic acid was compared.  相似文献

A cresol red modified glassy carbon electrode was prepared using an electrochemical method. The cyclic voltammograms of the modified electrode indicate the presence of a couple of well-defined redox peaks, and the formal potential shifts in the negative direction with increasing solution pH. The modified electrode exhibits high electrocatalytic activity toward ascorbic acid oxidation, with an overpotential of 300 mV less than that of bare glassy carbon electrodes, and drastic enhancement of the anodic currents. The calibration graph obtained by linear sweep voltammetry for ascorbic acid is linear in the range of 50∼500 µM. The electrode markedly enhances the current response of dopamine and can separate the electrochemical responses of ascorbic acid and dopamine. The separation between the anodic peak potentials of ascorbic acid and dopamine is 190 mV by cyclic voltammetry. The linear sweep voltammetric peak currents for dopamine in the presence of 2 mM ascorbic acid vary linearly with a concentration of between 10 and 100 µM.  相似文献

Nanofilm deposits of a porous Sn(IV) oxide are formed by anodic electrodeposition on a polished boron-doped diamond electrode immersed in an aqueous Sn2+ solution. Mechanically and electrochemically stable deposits of 10–15 nm thickness are formed irrespective of the Sn2+ concentration and mass-transport enhancement by power ultrasound. Atomic force microscopy images indicate the presence of a smooth and noncrystalline film, which is stable under ambient conditions. n-type semiconducting characteristics are observed for the aqueous solution redox couples Fe(CN)6 3–/4– and Ru(NH3)6 3+/2+. However, preliminary results from voltammetric experiments indicate that the small and neutral organic molecule N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylphenylenediamine is able to diffuse through the porous film to undergo oxidation directly at the surface of the boron-doped diamond electrode. A Nafion/multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) composite film-modified electrode was fabricated. The modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity toward ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA) in 0.1-mol L−1 NaCl medium (pH 6.5). Compared to the bare electrode that only displayed a broad and overlapped oxidation peak, the Nafion/MWNT film-modified electrode not only remarkably enhanced the anodic peak currents of AA and UA but also avoided the overlapping of the anodic peaks of AA and UA with a 320-mV separation of both peaks. Under the optimized conditions, the peak currents of AA and UA were proportional to their concentration at the ranges of 8.0 × 10−5 to 6.0 × 10−3 mol L−1 and 6.0 × 10−7 to 8.0 × 10−5 mol L−1, respectively. The proposed method was used for the detection of AA and UA in real samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Multilayer thin films composed of poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) have been prepared on the surface of a gold (Au) disk electrode by a layer-by-layer deposition of PAH and CMC and ferricyanide ions ([Fe(CN)6]3−) were confined in the film. [Fe(CN)6]3− ions can be successfully confined in the films from weakly acidic or neutral [Fe(CN)6]3− solutions, while, in basic solution, [Fe(CN)6]3− ion was not confined. The [Fe(CN)6]3− ion-confined Au electrode showed clear redox peaks in the cyclic voltammogram around 0.35 V versus Ag/AgCl. The amounts of [Fe(CN)6]3− ions confined in the films depended on the thickness of the films or the number of layers in the LbL films. The [Fe(CN)6]3− ion-confined Au electrode was used for electrocatalytic determination of ascorbic acid in the concentration range of 1-50 mM.  相似文献
