The successful synthesis, characterization, and directed self‐assembly of a silicon‐containing block copolymer, poly(styrene‐block‐trimethylsilylisoprene) (P(S‐b‐TMSI)), which has much higher oxygen etch contrast than the de facto standard, poly(styrene‐block‐methyl methacrylate) is reported. A Sakurai, Grignard‐type coupling reaction provided the key monomer in good yield. Living anionic polymerization was employed to prepare the block copolymer, which has very low polydispersity. P(S‐b‐TMSI) was successfully ordered and oriented by directed self‐assembly. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem, 2013  相似文献

A series of poly(ethylene glycol)‐block‐poly(allyl glycidyl ether) (PEG‐b‐PAGE) macroinitiators are prepared using the living anionic ring‐opening polymerization (AROP) technique, and applied for further copolymerization studies. To overcome the low reactivity of the secondary hydroxyl end‐group of the PAGE block, a primary hydroxyl group is introduced into the macroinitiators via trityl and tert‐butyl‐dimethylsilane protective groups. The modified macroinitiators are used for copolymerization by applying different amounts of PEG‐b‐PAGE (5, 10, and 15%) and different PLGA lengths. To study their properties, nanoparticles from selected polymers are prepared and characterized by dynamic light scattering and scanning electron microscopy showing spherical particles with diameters around 200 nm and low PDIparticle values of 0.03–0.1. An advantage of the obtained polymers is the presence of double bonds in the side chain, which enables the modification via, for example, thiol‐ene reactions. For this purpose tertiary 2‐(dimethylamino)ethanethiol), acetylated thiogalactose and thiomannose are attached onto the double bonds of the PAGE‐blocks. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Fluorine‐containing amphiphilic ABA triblock copolymers, poly(2‐hydroxyethyl vinyl ether)‐block‐poly[2‐(2,2,3,3,3‐pentafluoropropoxy)ethyl vinyl ether]‐block‐poly(2‐hydroxyethyl vinyl ether) [poly(HOVE‐b‐PFPOVE‐b‐HOVE)] (HFH), poly[2‐(2,2,3,3,3‐pentafluoropropoxy)ethyl vinyl ether]‐block‐poly(2‐hydroxyethyl vinyl ether)‐block‐poly[2‐(2,2,3,3,3‐pentafluoropropoxy)ethyl vinyl ether] [poly(PFPOVE‐b‐HOVE‐b‐PFPOVE)] (FHF), and poly(n‐butyl vinyl ether)‐block‐poly(2‐hydroxyethyl vinyl ether)‐block‐poly(n‐butyl vinyl ether) [poly(NBVE‐b‐HOVE‐b‐NBVE)] (LHL), were synthesized, and their behavior in water was investigated. The aforementioned polymers were prepared by sequential living cationic polymerization of 2‐acetoxyethyl vinyl ether (AcOVE) and PFPOVE or NBVE, followed by hydrolysis of acetyl groups in polyAcOVE. FHF and LHL formed a hydrogel in water, whereas HFH gave a homogeneous aqueous solution. In addition, the gel‐forming concentration of FHF was much lower than that of corresponding LHL. Surface‐tension measurements of the aqueous polymer solutions revealed that all the triblock copolymers synthesized formed micelles or aggregates above about 1.0 × 10?4 mol/L. The surface tensions of HFH and FHF solutions above the critical micelle concentration were lower than those of LHL, indicating high surface activity of fluorine‐containing triblock copolymers. Small‐angle X‐ray scattering measurements revealed that HFH formed a core‐shell sperical micelle in 1 wt % aqueous solutions, whereas the other block copolymers caused more conplicated assembly in the solutions. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Doubly thermoresponsive ABC brush‐linear‐linear triblock copolymer nanoparticles of poly[poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether vinylphenyl]‐block‐poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide)‐block‐polystyrene [P(mPEGV)‐b‐PNIPAM‐b‐PS] containing two thermoresponsive blocks of poly[poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether vinylphenyl] [P(mPEGV)] and poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) are prepared by macro‐RAFT agent mediated dispersion polymerization. The P(mPEGV)‐b‐PNIPAM‐b‐PS nanoparticles exhibit two separate lower critical solution temperatures or phase‐transition temperatures (PTTs) corresponding to the linear PNIPAM block and the brush P(mPEGV) block in water. Upon temperature increasing above the first and then the second PTT, the hydrodynamic diameter (Dh) of the triblock copolymer nanoparticles undergoes an initial shrinkage at the first PTT and the subsequent shrinkage at the second PTT. The effect of the chain length of the PNIPAM block on the thermoresponsive behavior of the triblock copolymer nanoparticles is investigated. It is found that, the longer chains of the thermoresponsive PNIPAM block, the greater contribution on the transmittance change of the aqueous dispersion of the triblock copolymer nanoparticles. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The amphiphilic cyclic poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐polystyrene [c‐(PEO‐b‐PS)] was synthesized by cyclization of propargyl‐telechelic poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐polystyrene‐block‐poly(ethylene oxide) (?? PEO‐b‐PS‐b‐PEO? ?) via the Glaser coupling. The hydroxyl‐telechelic ABA triblock PEO‐b‐PS‐b‐PEO was first prepared by successive living anionic polymerization of styrene and ring‐opening polymerization of ethylene oxide, and then the hydroxyl ends were reacted with propargyl bromide to obtain linear precursors with propargyl terminals. Finally, the intramolecular cyclization was conducted in pyridine under high dilution by Glaser coupling of propargyl ends in the presence of CuBr under ambient temperature, and the c‐(PEO‐b‐PS) was directly obtained by precipitation in petroleum ether with high efficiency. The cyclic products and their corresponding linear precursor ?? PEO‐b‐PS‐b‐PEO? ? were characterized by means of GPC, 1H NMR, and FTIR. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide)‐block‐poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm‐b‐PEO‐b‐PNIPAAm) triblock copolymer was synthesized via the reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer/macromolecular design via the interchange of xanthate (RAFT/MADIX) process with xanthate‐terminated poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) as the macromolecular chain transfer agent. The successful synthesis of the ABA triblock copolymer inspired the preparation of poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide)‐block‐poly(ethylene oxide) (PNIPAAm‐b‐PEO) copolymer networks with N,N′‐methylenebisacrylamide as the crosslinking agent with the similar approach. With the RAFT/MADIX process, PEO chains were successfully blocked into poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) networks. The unique architecture of PNIPAAm‐b‐PEO networks allows investigating the effect of the blocked PEO chains on the deswelling and reswelling behavior of PNIPAAm hydrogels. It was found that with the inclusion of PEO chains into the PNIPAAm networks as midblocks, the swelling ratios of the hydrogels were significantly enhanced. Furthermore, the PNIPAAm‐b‐PEO hydrogels displayed faster response to the external temperature changes than the control PNIPAAm hydrogel. The accelerated deswelling and reswelling behaviors have been interpreted based on the formation of PEO microdomains in the PNIPAAm networks, which could act as the hydrophilic tunnels to facilitate the diffusion of water molecules in the PNIPAAm networks. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of well‐defined amphiphilic triblock copolymers [polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether]‐block‐poly(ε‐caprolactone)‐block‐poly[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate] (mPEG‐b‐PCL‐b‐PDMAEMA or abbreviated as mPEG‐b‐PCL‐b‐PDMA) were prepared by a combination of ring‐opening polymerization and atom transfer radical polymerization. The chemical structures and compositions of these copolymers have been characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H NMR, and thermogravimetric analysis. The molecular weights of the triblock copolymers were obtained by calculating from 1H NMR spectra and gel permeation chromatography measurements. Subsequently, the self‐assembly behavior of these copolymers was investigated by fluorescence probe method and transmission electron microscopy, which indicated that these amphiphilic triblock copolymers possess distinct pH‐dependent critical aggregation concentrations and can self‐assemble into micelles or vesicles in PBS buffer solution, depending on the length of PDMA in the copolymer. Agarose gel retardation assays demonstrated that these cationic nanoparticles can effectively condense plasmid DNA. Cell toxicity tests indicated that these triblock copolymers displayed lower cytotoxicity than that of branched polyethylenimine with molecular weight of 25 kDa. In addition, in vitro release of Naproxen from these nanoparticles in pH buffer solutions was conducted, demonstrating that higher PCL content would result in the higher drug loading content and lower release rate. These biodegradable and biocompatible cationic copolymers have potential applications in drug and gene delivery. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The twin‐tail tadpole‐shaped (cyclic polystyrene)‐block‐[linear poly (tert‐butyl acrylate)]2 [(c‐PS)‐b‐(l‐PtBA)2] was synthesized by combination of Glaser coupling reaction with atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and living anionic polymerization (LAP). First, the telechelic PS with an active and an ethoxyethyl‐protected hydroxyl groups at both ends was prepared by LAP of St monomers using lithium naphthalenide as initiator and terminated by 1‐ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether. And the alkyne groups were introduced onto each PS end by selectively reaction of active hydroxy group with propargyl bromide in NaH/tetrahydrofuran (THF) system. Then, the intramolecular cyclization was carried out by Glaser coupling reaction in pyridine/Cu(I)Br system in air atmosphere. Finally, the macroinitiator of c‐PS with two bromine groups at the junction point was synthesized via the cleavage of ethoxyethyl group and the subsequent esterification of the deprotected hydroxyl groups with 2‐bromoisobutyryl bromide. The copolymer of (c‐PS)‐b‐(l‐PtBA)2 was obtained by ATRP of tBA monomers, and the PtBA segment was also hydrolyzed for (cyclic polystyrene)‐block‐(linear polyacrylic acid)2 [(c‐PS)‐b‐(l‐PAA)2]. The target copolymers and all intermediates were well characterized by GPC, MALDI‐TOF MS, and 1H NMR in detail. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem, 2012  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of well‐defined homo‐ and diblock copolymers containing poly(furfuryl glycidyl ether) (PFGE) via living anionic ring‐opening polymerization using different initiators. The obtained materials were characterized by SEC, MALDI‐TOF MS, and 1H NMR spectroscopy and molar masses of up to 9400 g/mol were obtained for PFGE homopolymers. If the amphiphilic diblock copolymer PEG‐block‐PFGE was dissolved in water, micelles with a PFGE core and a PEG corona were formed. Hereby, the hydrophobic PFGE core domains were used for the incorporation of a suitable bismaleimide and heating to 60 °C induced the crosslinking of the micellar core via Diels‐Alder chemistry. This process was further shown to be reversible. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem, 2012  相似文献

Novel amphiphilic fluorinated ABC‐type triblock copolymers composed of hydrophilic poly(ethylene oxide) monomethyl ether (MeOPEO), hydrophobic polystyrene (PSt), and hydrophobic/lipophobic poly(perfluorohexylethyl acrylate) (PFHEA) were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) using N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA)/CuBr as a catalyst system. The bromide‐terminated diblock copolymers poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐polystyrene (MeOPEO‐b‐PSt‐Br) were prepared by the ATRP of styrene initiated with the macroinitiator MeOPEO‐Br, which was obtained by the esterification of poly(ethylene oxide) monomethyl ether (MeOPEO) with 2‐bromoisobutyryl bromide. A fluorinated block of poly(perfluorohexylethyl acrylate) (PFHEA) was then introduced into the diblock copolymer by a second ATRP process to synthesize a novel ABC‐type triblock copolymer, poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐polystyrene‐block‐poly(perfluorohexylethyl acrylate) (MeOPEO‐b‐PSt‐b‐PFHEA). These block copolymers were characterized by means of proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Water contact angle measurements revealed that the polymeric coating of the triblock copolymer (MeOPEO‐b‐PSt‐b‐PFHEA) shows more hydrophobic than that of the corresponding diblock copolymer (MeOPEO‐b‐PSt). Bovine serum albumin (BSA) was used as a model protein to evaluate the protein adsorption property and the triblock copolymer coating posseses excellent protein‐resistant character prior to the corresponding diblock copolymer and polydimethylsiloxane. These amphiphilic fluoropolymers can expect to have potential applications for antifouling coatings and antifouling membranes. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Novel rod–coil–rod ABA triblock copolymers, poly(3‐hexylthiophene)‐block‐poly(ethylene)‐block‐poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT‐b‐PE‐b‐P3HT) were synthesized by using a combination of a Ru‐catalyzed ring‐opening metathesis polymerization of 1,4‐cyclooctadiene in the presence of a suitable chain transfer agent (CTA) and a Ni‐catalyzed Grignard metathesis polymerization of 5‐chloromagnesio‐2‐bromo‐3‐hexylthiophene followed by hydrogenation. Using this methodology, the molecular weights of the poly(butadiene) (PBD) or the P3HT blocks were controlled by adjusting the initial monomer/CTA or the initial monomer/macroinitiator ratio, respectively. In addition, the triblock structure was confirmed by selective oxidative degradation of the PBD block found in the intermediate P3HT‐b‐PBD‐b‐P3HT copolymer produced in the aforementioned method, followed by analysis of the degradation products. Thermal analysis and atomic force microscopy of P3HT‐b‐PE‐b‐P3HT revealed that the material underwent phase separation in the solid state, a feature which may prove useful for improving charge mobilities within electronic devices. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(N‐vinyl pyrrolidone)‐block‐poly(N‐vinyl carbazole)‐block‐poly(N‐vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP‐b‐PVK‐b‐PVP) triblock copolymers were synthesized via sequential reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer/macromolecular design via the interchange of xanthate (RAFT/MADIX) process. First, 1,4‐phenylenebis(methylene)bis(ethyl xanthate) was used as a chain transfer agent to mediate the radical polymerization of N‐vinyl carbazole (NVK). It was found that the polymerization was in a controlled and living manner. Second, one of α,ω‐dixanthate‐terminated PVKs was used as the macromolecular chain transfer agent to mediate the radical polymerization of N‐vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP) to obtain the triblock copolymers with various lengths of PVP blocks. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that the triblock copolymers in bulks were microphase‐separated and that PVK blocks were self‐organized into cylindrical microdomains, depending on the lengths of PVP blocks. In aqueous solutions, all these triblock copolymers can self‐assemble into the spherical micelles. The critical micelle concentrations of the triblock copolymers were determined without external adding fluorescence probe. By analyzing the change in fluorescence intensity as functions of the concentration, it was judged that the onset of micellization occurred at the concentration while the FL intensity began negatively to deviate from the initial linear increase with the concentration. Fluorescence spectroscopy indicates that the self‐assembled nanoobjects of the PVP‐b‐PVK‐b‐PVP triblock copolymers in water were capable of emitting blue/or purple fluorescence under the irradiation of ultraviolet light. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An original approach based on coupling methodology was used to prepare novel well‐defined ABA triblock copolymers, made of polyester‐type chain ends (A) associated with a polyacrylate midblock (B). Poly(ethylene terephthalate)‐block‐poly(lauryl acrylate)‐block‐poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET‐b‐PLAc‐b‐PET) copolymers were achieved from poly(ethylene terephthalate)‐b‐poly(lauryl acrylate) (PET‐b‐PLAc) diblock ones. The first step consisted in the synthesis of diblock copolymers by atom transfer radical polymerization of lauryl acrylate starting from PET segment as a macroinitiator. In the second step, the coupling of diblock copolymers was achieved using four different methods, which were evaluated and compared: atom transfer radical coupling, “click” chemistry using the Huisgen's reaction, and coupling via a dithiol reagent or a diisocyanate molecule. Coupling using the Huisgen's reaction or a diisocyanate spacer proved to be the most efficient techniques. Even if these methods showed limitation and were only adapted for copolymers with low molecular weights, we managed to successfully prepare ABA triblock copolymers involving a polyester segment as end blocks and a polyacrylate moiety as midblock. To our knowledge, such kind of chemical structure has never been reported before and would be useful, possibly affording physical networks leading to rheological modification, for instance. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Novel thermo‐responsive poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide)‐block‐poly(l ‐lactide)‐block‐poly(N‐isopropylacylamide) (PNIPAAm‐b‐PLLA‐b‐PNIPAAm) triblock copolymers were successfully prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization of NIPAAm with Br‐PLLA‐Br macroinitiator, using a CuCl/tris(2‐dimethylaminoethyl) amine (Me6TREN) complex as catalyst at 25 °C in a N,N‐dimethylformamide/water mixture. The molecular weight of the copolymers ranges from 18,000 to 38,000 g mol?1, and the dispersity from 1.10 to 1.28. Micelles are formed by self‐assembly of copolymers in aqueous medium at room temperature, as evidenced by 1H NMR, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The critical micelle concentration determined by fluorescence spectroscopy ranges from 0.0077 to 0.016 mg mL?1. 1H NMR analysis in selective solvents confirmed the core‐shell structure of micelles. The copolymers exhibit a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) between 32.1 and 32.8 °C. The micelles are spherical in shape with a mean diameter between 31.4 and 83.3 nm, as determined by TEM and DLS. When the temperature is raised above the LCST, micelle size increases at high copolymer concentrations due to aggregation. In contrast, at low copolymer concentrations, decrease of micelle size is observed due to collapse of PNIPAAm chains. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. A series of well‐defined amphiphilic triblock copolymers, poly(ethylene glycol)‐b‐poly(tert‐butyl acrylate)‐b‐poly(2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PEG‐b‐PtBA‐b‐PHEMA), were synthesized via successive atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). ATRP of tBA was first initiated by PEG‐Br macroinitiator using CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N′″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as catalytic system to give PEG‐b‐PtBA diblock copolymer. This copolymer was then used as macroinitiator to initiate ATRP of HEMA, which afforded the target triblock copolymer, PEG‐b‐PtBA‐b‐PHEMA. The critical micelle concentrations of obtained amphiphilic triblock copolymers were determined by fluorescence spectroscopy using N‐phenyl‐1‐naphthylamine as probe. The morphology and size of formed aggregates were investigated by transmission electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering, respectively. Finally, an acid‐sensitive PEG‐b‐PtBA‐b‐P(HEMA‐CAD) prodrug via cis‐aconityl linkage between doxorubicin and hydroxyls of triblock copolymers with a high drug loading content up to 38%, was prepared to preliminarily explore the application of triblock copolymer in drug delivery. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. For the living ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of epoxy monomers, the catalytic activity of organic superbases, tert‐butylimino‐tris(dimethylamino)phosphorane, 1‐tert‐butyl‐2,2,4,4,4‐pentakis(dimethylamino)‐2Λ5,4Λ5‐catenadi(phosphazene), 2,8,9‐triisobutyl‐2,5,8,9‐tetraaza‐1‐phosphabicyclo[3.3.3]undecane, and 1‐tert‐butyl‐4,4,4‐tris(dimethylamino)‐2,2‐bis[tris(dimethylamino)phosphoranylidenamino]‐2Λ5,4Λ5‐catenadi(phosphazene) (t‐Bu‐P4), was confirmed. Among these superbases, only t‐Bu‐P4 showed catalytic activity for the ROP of 1,2‐butylene oxide (BO) to afford poly(1,2‐butylene oxide) (PBO) with predicted molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution. The results of the kinetic, post‐polymerization experiments, and MALDI‐TOF MS measurement revealed that the t‐Bu‐P4‐catalyzed ROP of BO proceeded in a living manner in which the alcohol acted as the initiator. This alcohol/t‐Bu‐P4 system was applicable to the glycidol derivatives, such as benzyl glycidyl ether (BnGE) and t‐butyl glycidyl ether, to afford well‐defined protected polyglycidols. The α‐functionalized polyethers could be obtained using different functionalized initiators, such as 4‐vinylbenzyl alcohol, 5‐hexen‐1‐ol, and 6‐azide‐1‐hexanol. In addition, the well‐defined cyclic‐PBO and PBnGE were successfully synthesized using the combination of t‐Bu‐P4‐catalyzed ROP and click cyclization. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Biodegradable, amphiphilic, diblock poly(ε‐caprolactone)‐block‐poly(ethylene glycol) (PCL‐b‐PEG), triblock poly(ε‐caprolactone)‐block‐poly(ethylene glycol)‐block‐poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL‐b‐PEG‐b‐PCL), and star shaped copolymers were synthesized by ring opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone in the presence of poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether or poly(ethylene glycol) or star poly(ethylene glycol) and potassium hexamethyldisilazide as a catalyst. Well‐defined ABCD 4‐Miktoarm star‐shaped quarterpolymers of [poly(styrene)‐poly(tert‐butyl acrylate)‐poly(ethylene oxide)‐poly(isoprene)] [star(PS‐PtBA‐PEO‐PI)] were successfully synthesized by the combination of the “click” chemistry and multiple polymerization mechanism. First, the poly(styryl)lithium (PS?Li+) and the poly(isoprene)lithium (PI?Li+) were capped by ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether (EEGE) to form the PS and PI with both an active ω‐hydroxyl group and an ω′‐ethoxyethyl‐protected hydroxyl group, respectively. After these two hydroxyl groups were selectively modified to propargyl and 2‐bromoisobutyryl group for PS, the resulted PS was used as macroinitiator for ATRP of tBA monomer and the diblock copolymer PS‐b‐PtBA with a propargyl group at the junction point was achieved. Then, using the functionalized PI as macroinitiator for ROP of EO monomer and bromoethane as blocking agent, the diblock copolymer PI‐b‐PEO with a protected hydroxyl group at the conjunction point was synthesized. After the hydrolysis, the recovered hydroxyl group of PI‐b‐PEO was modified to bromoacetyl and then azide group successively. Finally, the “click” chemistry between them was proceeded smoothly. The obtained star‐shaped quarterpolymers and intermediates were characterized by 1H NMR, FT‐IR, and SEC in detail. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A poly(methyl methacrylate)‐block‐poly(4‐vinylpyridine)‐block‐polystyrene (PMMA‐b‐P4VP‐b‐PS) triblock terpolymer is synthesized by ATRP to study its self‐assembly with PAA in organic solvents. The self‐assembly behavior of this system is compared with the one of a mixture of two diblocks, namely polystyrene‐block‐poly(4‐vinylpyridine) (PS‐b‐P4VP) and poly(methyl methacrylate)‐block‐poly(methacrylic acid) (PMMA‐b‐PMAA). For both systems, formation of hydrogen‐bonded complexes between the P4VP and PMAA or PAA blocks occurs. These complexes become insoluble in the solvent used and micelles with a P4VP/P(M)AA complexes core surrounded by PS and PMMA coronal chains are obtained in both cases. These micelles are analyzed by DLS and TEM. Spherical micelles are formed for both systems but the hydrodynamic radii obtained for the two types of micelles are different. Indeed, the micelles formed by the PMMA‐b‐P4VP‐b‐PS + PAA system are smaller than those observed for the PS‐b‐P4VP + PMMA‐b‐PMAA system. Finally, the effect of the molar ratio of the P4VP/PMAA complexing blocks is investigated. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Chem. 2015 , 53, 459–467  相似文献

Novel and well‐defined amphiphilic H‐shaped terpolymers poly(L‐lactide)‐block‐(poly(2‐(N,N‐dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) ‐block‐)poly(ε‐caprolactone)(‐block‐poly(2‐(N,N‐dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate)) ‐b‐poly(L‐lactide) (PLLA‐b‐(PDMAEMA‐b‐)PCL(‐b‐PDMAEMA)‐b‐PLLA) were synthesized by the combination of ring‐opening polymerization, atom transfer radical polymerization, and click chemistry. The H‐shaped amphiphilic terpolymers can self‐assemble into spherical nano‐micelles in water. Because of the dually responsive (temperature and pH) properties of PDMAEMA segments, the hydrodynamic radius of the micelles of the H‐shaped terpolymer solution can be adjusted by altering the environmental temperature or pH values. The thermal properties investigation and the crystalline morphology analysis indicate that the branched structure of the H‐shaped terpolymers and the presence of amorphous PDMAEMA segments together led to the obvious decrease of PCL segments and the complete destruction of crystallinity of the PLLA segments in the H‐shaped terpolymers. In addition, the H‐shaped terpolymer film has better hydrophilicity than linear PCL or triblock polymer of PLLA‐b‐(N3? )PCL(? N3)‐b‐PLLA, due to the decrease or destruction of the crystallizability of the PCL or PLLA in the H‐shaped terpolymer and the presence of hydrophilic PDMAEMA segments. These unique H‐shaped amphiphilic terpolymers composed of biodegradable and biocompatible PCL and PLLA components and intelligent and biocompatible PDMAEMA component will have the potential applications in biomedical fields. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
