Interaction of 4,4-bi(1,2,4-triazole) (btr) with copper(II) chloride (bromide) in aqueous or aqueous alcohol media led to a series of coordination polymers featuring the formation of mu 3-hydroxotricopper(II) clusters and their integration into 3D frameworks. These unprecedented structures originate in the propagation of trigonal hydroxotricopper(II) clusters bridged by tri- or tetradentate organic ligands. Complex [{Cu3(mu3-OH)}{Cu3(mu3-O)}(mu4-btr)3(H2O)4(OH)2Cl6]Cl.0.5H2O adopts a structure of SrSi2 topology, with eight-fold interpenetration of the coordination frameworks. The structure of [{Cu3(mu3-OH)}2(mu3-btr)6(mu4-btr)(mu-X)X4]X5.nH2O (X = Br, n = 6; X = Cl, n = 8) involves 2D coordination layers [{Cu3(mu3-OH)}(mu3-btr)3]n with an exceptional (3,6)-net topology, which are cross-linked by tetradentate btr ligands and bridging chloride (bromide) ions.  相似文献

Treatment of aluminum nitrate with an organic nitroso-containing compound yields the "flat", tridecameric nanocluster Al 13(mu 3-OH) 6(mu 2-OH) 18(H 2O) 24(NO 3) 15 ( Al 13 ) in good yield on a preparative scale under ambient conditions. Synthetic procedures yielding two different single-crystal forms of the Al 13 cation with two varying counterion compositions are described.  相似文献

Ln6(mu6-O)(mu3-OH)8(H2O)24]I8(H2O)(8) (Ln = Nd, Eu, Tb, Dy) compounds are obtained as the final hydrolysis products of lanthanide triiodides in an aqueous solution. A novel tetrameric cluster, (enH2)3.5H15[{FeIIFeIII12(mu3-OH)12(mu4-PO4)4}(B-alpha-PW9O34)4].83H2O (1; en = ethylenediamine), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by IR, optical diffuse reflectance, thermogravimetric analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The skeleton of 1 is composed of four tri-FeIII-substituted [FeIII3(mu3-OH)3(B-alpha-PW9O34)]3- Keggin moieties fused together through a FeII2O2 unit and four mu4-PO4 bridges, resulting in a unique tetramer with C2 symmetry. Magnetic measurements indicate that 1 reveals the antiferromagnetic interactions between FeII and FeIII centers.  相似文献

A virtually planar water tetramer in which the water molecules are virtually tetrahedrally coordinated could be realized in the solid in a three-dimensional network of [Tc4(CO)12-(mu3-OH)4.4H2O]. The network could be produced by cocrystallization of the new cubane-like cluster [Tc(CO)3-(mu3-OH)]4 and water as a complementary component. The amphiphilic behavior of cluster and water results in a highly ordered three-dimensional network. The complementary components, the water tetramer and the cubic cluster, independently of one another form two interpenetrating tetragonal lattice networks held together exclusively by hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Tetranuclear lanthanide-hydroxo complexes of the general formula [Ln(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)(AA)(x)(H(2)O)(y)](8+) (1, Ln = Sm, AA = Gly, x = 5, y = 11; 2, Ln = Nd, AA = Ala, x = 6, y = 10; 3, Ln = Er, AA = Val, x = 5, y = 10) have been prepared by alpha-amino acid controlled hydrolysis of lanthanide ions under near physiological pH conditions (pH 6-7). The core component of these compounds is a cationic cluster [Ln(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)](8+) whose constituent lanthanide ions and triply bridging hydroxo groups occupy the alternate vertexes of a distorted cube. The amino acid ligands coordinate the lanthanide ions via bridging carboxylate groups. Utilizing L-glutamic acid as the supporting ligand, a cationic cluster complex (4) formulated as [Er(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)(Glu)(3)(H(2)O)(8)](5+) has been obtained. Its extended solid-state structure is composed of the cubane-like [Er(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)](8+) cluster building units interlinked by the carboxylate groups of the glutamate ligands. All compounds are characterized by using a combination of spectroscopic techniques and microanalysis (CHN and metal). Infrared spectra of the complexes suggest the coordinated amino acids to be zwitterionic. The presence of mass (MALDI-TOF) envelopes corresponding to the [Ln(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)](8+) (Ln = trivalent Sm, Nd, or Er) core containing fragments manifests the integrity of the cubane-like cluster unit. Magnetic studies using Evans' method suggest that exchange interactions between the lanthanide ions are insignificant at ambient temperature. The structural identities of all four compounds have been established crystallographically. The tetranuclear cluster core has been demonstrated to be a common structural motif in these complexes. A mechanism responsible for its self-assembly is postulated.  相似文献

Reaction of Mn(ClO4)2 with di-pyridyl ketone oxime, (2-py)2C=NOH, gives the novel cluster [Mn(II)4Mn(III)6Mn(IV)2(mu4-O)2(mu3-O)4(mu3-OH)4(mu3-OCH3)2(pko)12](OH)(ClO4)3 1. It is the only example of a 24-MC-8, and the first metallacrown with ring metal ions in three different oxidation states. Magnetic measurements show antiferromagnetic behavior.  相似文献

The nine-membered [-Cu(II)-N-N-](3) ring of trimeric copper-pyrazolato complexes provides a sturdy framework on which water is twice deprotonated in consecutive steps, forming mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O species. In the presence of excess chlorides the mu(3)-O(H) ligand is replaced by two mu(3)-Cl ions. Mechanochemical reaction of cluster coordination polymers 1infinity[M3Q7Br4] (M = Mo, W; Q = S, Se) with solid K2C2O4 leads to cluster core excision with the formation of anionic complexes [M3Q7(C2O4)3]2-. Extraction of the reaction mixture with water followed by crystallization gives crystalline K2[M3Q7(C2O4)3].0.5KBr.nH2O (M = Mo, Q = S, n = 3 (1); M = Mo, Q = Se, n = 4 (2); M = W, Q = S, n = 5 (3)). Cs2[Mo3S7(C2O4)3].0.5CsCl.3.5H2O (4) and (Et4N)1.5H0.5K{[Mo3S7(C2O4)3]Br}.2H2O (5) were also prepared. Close Q...Br contacts result in the formation of ionic triples {[M3Q7(C2O4)3](2)Br}5- in 1-4 and the 1:1 adduct {[Mo3S7(C2O4)3]Br}3- in 5. Treatment of 1 or 2 with PPh(3) leads to chalcogen abstraction with the formation of [Mo3(mu3-Q)(mu2-Q)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3]2-, isolated as (Ph4P)2[Mo3(mu3-S)(mu2-S)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3].11H2O (6) and (Ph4P2[Mo3(mu3-Se)(mu2-Se)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3].8.5H2O.0.5C2H5OH (7). All compounds were characterized by X-ray structure analysis. IR, Raman, electronic, and 77Se NMR spectra are also reported. Thermal decomposition of 1-3 was studied by thermogravimetry.  相似文献

Hydrothermal reaction of CoCl2 with the potassium salt of pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid and excess base yields [Co3(NC5H3(CO2)2-2,5)2(mu3-OH)2(OH2)2], which has a three-dimensional structure based on hydroxide-bridged triangular chains. A cyclic voltammogram of aqueous 0.1 mol dm(-3) triflic acid solutions of the d6 bioxo-capped M-M bonded cluster [Mo3(mu3-O)2(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]2+ at a glassy carbon electrode at 25 degrees C gives rise to an irreversible 3e- cathodic wave to a d9 Mo(III)3 species at -0.8 V vs. SCE which on the return scan gives rise to two anodic waves at +0.05 V vs. SCE (E(1/2), 1e- reversible to d8 Mo(III)2Mo(IV)) and +0.48 V vs. SCE (2e- irreversible back to d6 Mo(IV)3). The number of electrons passed at each redox wave has been confirmed by redox titration and controlled potential electrolysis which resulted in 90% recovery of [Mo3(mu3-O)2(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]2+ following electrochemical re-oxidation at +0.8 V. A corresponding CV study of the d8 monoxo-capped W(III)2W(IV) cluster [W3(mu3-O)(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]2+ gives rise to a reversible 1e- cathodic process at -0.92 V vs. SCE to give the d9 W(III)3 species [W3(mu3-O)(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]+; the first authentic example of a W(III) complex with coordinated water ligands. However the cluster is too unstable (O2/water sensitive) to allow isolation. Comparisons with the cv study on [Mo3(mu3-O)2(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]2+ suggest irreversible reduction of this complex to monoxo-capped [Mo(III)3(mu3-O)(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]+ followed by reversible oxidation to its d8 counterpart [Mo3(mu3-O)(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]2+ (Mo(III)2Mo(IV)) and finally irreversible oxidation back to the starting bioxo-capped cluster. Exposing the d9 Mo(III)3 cluster to air (O2) however gives a different final product with evidence of break up of the acetate bridged framework. Corresponding redox processes on d6 [W3(mu3-O)2(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3]2+ are too cathodic to allow similar generation of the monoxo-capped W(III)3 and W(III)2W(IV) clusters at the electrode surface.  相似文献

The tetranuclear [Ni4(pypentO)(pym)(mu 3-OH)2(mu-Oac)2(NCS)2(OH2)] cubane-like complex has been prepared, and its structure and magnetic properties have been studied (pypentO and pym are the deprotonated forms of 1,5-bis[(2-pyridylmethyl)amino]pentane-3-ol and 2-pyridylmethanol, respectively). The X-ray diffraction analysis of this novel nickel complex (C61H74N14O25.5S4Ni8, monoclinic, P2(1), a = 13.9375(14) A, b = 20.6604(18) A, c = 16.6684(19) A, beta = 110.619(12) degrees, Z = 2) showed a Ni4O4 cubane arrangement of four nickel atoms, four mu 3-O bridging ligands (one pypentO, one pym, and two OH-), two syn-syn bridging acetates, and three terminal monodentate ligands (two NCS- and one OH2). In this low-symmetry elongated cubane, the four Ni-Ni long distances (3.18 A) correspond to the faces of the cube including two mu 3-OR bridges, and the two Ni-Ni short distances (2.94 A) correspond to the faces including two mu 3-OR and one acetate bridges. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility was fitted with J1 = -3.09 cm-1, J2 = 15.0 cm-1, J3 = 6.72 cm-1, and g = 2.27. The differences in sign among the J1, J2, and J3 superexchange interactions is in good agreement with the different types of faces present in this Ni4O4 cubane core. The two faces of the cube, including two mu 3-OR bridges associated with one acetate bridge, exhibit ferromagnetic interactions, while the four faces which include only mu 3-OR bridges exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions. The very small zero field splitting may be attributed to the fact that the ground state is diamagnetic. The nature of the ground state is confirmed by the good simulation of the magnetization curves at 2 and 5 K (diagonalization of the full matrix taking into account all energy levels obtained with the parameter set resulting from the fit of the susceptibility curve). The large differences in J values resulting from small differences in Ni-O-Ni angles in this Ni4O4 core of very low symmetry reflect a quite strong magnetostructural correlation.  相似文献

The first coordination compounds of partially or wholly deprotonated benzenepentacarboxylic acid (H5L) were synthesized in the presence or absence of auxiliary 2,2'-bipyridyl (2,2'-bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligands, and their crystal structures and photoluminescent properties were characterized. Their formulas are [Zn6(mu3-OH)2(L)2(H2O)6]n (1), [Zn5(mu3-OH)2(HL)2(2,2'-bpy)2]n (2), [Zn2(HL)(phen)2(H2O)2]n (3), and [Zn5(L)2(phen)4(H2O)3]n.2nH2O (4). Both 1 and 2 are three-dimensional (3D) zinc(II)-hydroxide cluster based coordination frameworks. 1 contains distorted chairlike hexanuclear Zn6(mu3-OH)2 cluster units as secondary building blocks. Each Zn6(mu3-OH)2 unit connects six others through the three-connected nodes of L5- ligands into a 3D rigid and condensed coordination network, whereas in 2, each pentanuclear Zn5(mu3-OH)2 unit connects the other six ones through the three-connected [HL]4- nodes into a 3D network in the simple cubic packing mode. 3 has two-dimensional (2D) Zn(II)-carboxylate supramolecular layers constructed from a one-dimensional (1D) coordination chain structure by hydrogen bonds of the water and mu5-[HL]4- bridges, whereas 4 has 2D coordination layers composed of Zn(II) and mu8-L5- bridges. The adjacent coordination assemblies in 3 and 4 are further extended by hydrogen bonds and pi...pi interactions into 3D supramolecular architectures. 1-4 are photoluminescent active materials, and their photofluorescent properties are closely related to their intrinsic structure arrangements.  相似文献

New organometallic clusters with the MFe2(mu3-S)2 core (M = Mo or Fe) have been synthesized from inorganic [MoFe3S4] or [Fe4S4] clusters under high pressure CO. The reaction of (Cl4-cat)2Mo2Fe6S8(PR3)6[R = Et, (n)Pr] with high pressure CO produced the crystalline [MoFe2S2]4+ clusters, (Cl4-cat)Mo(O)Fe2S2(CO)(n)(PR3)6-n[n= 4, Et =I, (n)Pr =II; n = 5, Et =III] after flash column chromatography. The similar [MoFe2S2]4+ cluster, (Cl4-cat)2MoFe2S2(CO)2(depe)(2)(IV), also has been achieved by the reactions of (Cl4-cat)MoFe3S3(CO)6(PEt3)2 with depe by reductive decoupling of the cluster. For the [Fe3(mu3-S)2]4+ cluster, [Fe4S4(PcHex3)4](BPh4) was reacted with high pressure CO to produce a new Fe3S2(CO)7(PcHex)(2)(V) compound. These reactions generalized the preparation of organometallic compounds from inorganic clusters. All the compounds have been characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography. A possible reaction pathway for the synthesis of the MFe2(mu3-S) clusters (M = Mo or Fe) has also been suggested.  相似文献

The new heteronuclear iminodiacetic acid (H2L) complexes [LnCu6(mu 3-OH)3(HL)2(L)4](ClO4)(2).25H2O with Ln = La (1) and Tb (2) have been prepared in aqueous solution and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction to be isomorphous (crystallographic data for 1 and 2: hexagonal, P63/m; a = b = 12.6425(14) A, c = 24.541(5) A, Z = 2 (1); a = b = 12.5802(9) A, c = 24.285(4) A, Z = 2 (2)). Ln3+ was found to be located in the center of the trigonal prismatic cage formed by six Cu2+ ions, with a tricapped trigonal prismatic coordination environment of nine O atoms. The magnetic properties of complexes 1 and 2 have been studied. The results indicate the presence of ferromagnetic couplings between Tb3+ and Cu2+ in compound 2.  相似文献
