Refined mixed fullerenes were used as a reagent in known organic reactions instead of the pure fullerene C60 with aim to find an alternative, low-cost method for the synthesis of fullerene derivatives potentially exhibiting photoconductive properties. The isolation of C60 or C70 in clean form without admixtures requires the use of large quantities of toluene or other nonpolar solvents, polluting the environment and multiplying the production cost. 1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylide to fullerite was chosen because this reaction is one of the most widely used for fullerene functionalization, producing material possibly presenting photoinducing behavior. The data showed that the use of the cheaper mixed fullerenes instead of pure C60 leads to the isolation of the same expected products with similar yields. The photoelectric properties of mixed fullerenes and their organic derivatives were also examined. A slightly semiconductive behavior was confirmed as well as a noticeable photoresponse.

C60 derivatives bearing either terminal alkyne or azide functional groups have been prepared and used as building blocks under the copper mediated Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition conditions. In general, the reactivity of C60 toward azides does not significantly compete with the cycloaddition leading to the desired 1,2,3-triazole derivatives and good yields can be obtained when fullerene derivatives with reasonable solubility are used as starting materials. The electrochemical properties of the new fullerene derivatives have also been investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and Osteryoung Square Wave Voltammetry (OSWV).  相似文献

The synthesis of several C60 derivatives containing a 6-(β-d-glycopyranosylamino)pyrimidin-4-one unit and a C60-uridine conjugate is described. The fullerene derivatives bearing a 4-(β-d-glycopyranosylamino)pyrimidin-4-one moiety were synthesised by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of C60 with azomethine ylides generated in situ from the corresponding 5-formylpyrimidin-4-one derivatives and N-methylglycine. The synthesis of the C60-uridine conjugate involved the selective protection of the 2′- and 3′-hydroxyl groups of uridine, esterification, cyclopropanation of C60 and, finally, the deprotection of the hydroxyl groups. One of the fullerene-glycopyranosylaminopyrimidin-4-one conjugates was characterised by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Differentiation between pairs of diastereoisomers, for several fullerene derivatives, was achieved through the study of their gas-phase fragmentations.  相似文献

Regioselective reaction of C60Cl6 with thioamides via a radical annulation to form fullereno thiazole derivatives is reported. The reaction is promoted by K2CO3, which might deprotonate thioamide to initiate a single electron transfer from thioamide anion to C60Cl6. The experiments with various thioamides establish the proposed base-promoted reaction as a facile route for synthesis of fullereno fused thiazole derivatives starting from C60Cl6, a prevalent synthon in fullerene chemistry. In addition, the tunable electrochemical properties of the fullereno thiazole products have been investigated for their potential photovoltaic application.  相似文献

The anionic methods for the synthesis of homo- and heteroarm (hybrid) star-shaped polymers using fullerene C60 aPre considered. The possibilities of fullerene C60 as an agent of combination of living polymer chains and the procedures of transformation of polymer derivatives of C60 (hexaadducts) into polyfunctional macroinitiators of anionic polymerization of vinyl monomers are shown. The methods for functionalization of polymer fullerene derivatives and their combinations into structures of complex controlled architecture are presented. The structural features and initiating properties of the living polymer fullerene derivatives and their role in the formation of heteroarm star-shaped macromolecules with the controlled number of branches and predetermined molecular weight characteristics of the arms are discussed. The hydrodynamic properties of the star-shaped fullerene-containing polymers are considered. The data on the small-angle neutron scattering study of self-organization of the stars in solutions are presented.  相似文献

The introduction of chalcogen atoms into a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon structure is an established method to tune material properties. In the context of corannulene (C20H10), a fragment of fullerene C60, such structural adjustments have given rise to an emerging class of functional and responsive molecular materials. A new [60]fullerene diol is synthesized in good yield, in two steps starting from reaction of C602− anion with the benzylideneacetal derived from 2,2-bis(iodomethyl)-1,3-propanediol. The corresponding [60]fullerene bis-mesylate is also formed in a similar way starting from bis-iodo bis-mesylate compound in the same series. The scope of this fullerene diol in synthesis is exemplified by its easy esterification with 4-formyl benzoyl chloride.  相似文献

A method for the facile synthesis of tetraaryl-trimethylsilylmethyl-hydro[60]fullerenes, C60Ar4(CH2SiMeR)H, has been developed in which readily prepared anionic mono(silylmethyl) fullerene is subjected to reaction conditions for organocopper-mediated multiple addition. Penta(organo)fullerene derivatives bearing different substituents and diverse functionality were synthesized in moderate to good yield under simple and mild reaction conditions. Further organic and organometallic transformations of these fullerenes allowed us to synthesize transition-metal complexes and a new methanofullerene derivative, 1,9-methano-6,12,15,18-tetraphenyl[60]fullerene, C60Ph4(CH2).  相似文献

在Mn(OAc)3•2H2O催化下, C60分别和亚甲基二膦酸四乙酯、氰基亚甲基膦酸二乙酯或乙氧羰基亚甲基膦酸二乙酯在氯苯中回流, 生成3个单加成环丙烷富勒烯膦酸衍生物C60C(R)PO(OEt)2 [1, R=PO(OEt)2; 2, R=COOEt; 3, R=CN]. 与以前报道的Bingel反应法相比, 该方法副产物少并且缩短了反应时间. 采用循环伏安法发现1, 2的还原电位相对于C60发生负移, 而3的还原电位相对于C60却正移40 mV, 表明引入象氰基一样具有很强吸电子能力的取代基团, 可以改善富勒烯球的电化学性能, 合成电子接受能力较强的富勒烯衍生物.  相似文献

New polyads were obtained by covalently linking a coumarin dye to a fullerene (C60) following two different strategies: 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of azomethine ylides or by cyclopropanation reaction. The new polyads are spectroscopically characterized and their fluorescence properties, including the observation of efficient singlet-singlet energy transfer, reported.  相似文献

A series of mono‐ (MPTTF) and bis(pyrrolo)tetrathiafulvalene (BPTTF) derivatives tethered to one or two C60 moieties was synthesized and characterized. The synthetic strategy for these dumbbell‐shaped compounds was based on a 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition reaction between aldehyde‐functionalized MPTTF/BPTTF derivatives, two different tailor‐made amino acids, and C60. Electronic communication between the MPTTF/BPTTF units and the C60 moieties was studied by a variety of techniques including cyclic voltammetry and absorption spectroscopy. These solution‐based studies indicated no observable electronic communication between the MPTTF/BPTTF units and the C60 moieties. In addition, femtosecond and nanosecond transient absorption spectroscopy revealed, rather surprisingly, that no charge transfer from the MPTTF/BPTTF units to the C60 moieties takes place on excitation of the fullerene moiety. Finally, it was shown that the MPTTF–C60 and C60–BPTTF‐C60 dyad and triad molecules formed self‐assembled monolayers on a Au(111) surface by anchoring to C60.  相似文献

Photolysis of (C59N)2 solutions in the presence of neutral π-donors, such as arenes and electron-rich alkenes leads to a series of novel aza[60]fullerene monoadducts. The key step of the reaction involves a photoinduced electron transfer from the donor molecule to the iminium cation of aza[60]fullerene, followed by radical coupling of the resulting aza[60]fullerenyl radical with an intermediate stabilized radical derived from the substrate. This type of reactivity has been proven efficient with arenes having oxidation potential higher than about 1.5 V. Simple olefins, such as tri- and tetra-methylethylene, as well as cyclohexene, can also participate in this kind of photoinduced electron transfer-initiated reaction with C59N+, affording the corresponding aza[60]fullerene derivatives. In the case of 2-methoxyprop-1-ene, 2,4-hexadiene, and β,β-dimethylstyrene, [2+2] cycloaddition reactions with the aza[60]fullerene carbon shell dominate, leading to a mixture of unidentified multiadducts.  相似文献

Three different functionalized β-cyclodextrins (β-CDs) bearing the C60 moiety linked covalently have been prepared in good yields by reaction between the parent β-CD and [60]fullerene via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. These compounds have been fully spectroscopically characterized and their electrochemical behavior has been investigated. Surprisingly, the electrochemical properties of the C60 cage remain unaltered even after chemical functionalization, making these systems very appealing as supramolecular hosts for electron-transfer processes.  相似文献

A liquid‐crystalline mixed [5 : 1]hexa‐adduct of [60]fullerene was synthesized by addition of two different malonate derivatives onto C60. The hexa‐adduct derivative 2 was prepared by a stepwise synthetic procedure (fullerene→mono‐adduct of C60→hexa‐adduct of C60). Cyanobiphenyl and octyloxybiphenyl derivatives were selected as mesogens. The malonate derivatives showed either a monotropic nematic phase or a monotropic smectic A phase, and the hexa‐adduct derivative gave rise to an enantiotropic smectic A phase.  相似文献

Two molecular Janus particles based on amphiphilic [60]fullerene (C60) derivatives were designed and synthesized by using the regioselective Bingel–Hirsh reaction and the click reaction. These particles contain carboxylic acid functional groups, a hydrophilic fullerene (AC60), and a hydrophobic C60 in different ratios and have distinct molecular architectures: 1:1 (AC60–C60) and 1:2 (AC60–2C60). These molecular Janus particles can self‐assemble in solution to form aggregates with various types of micellar morphology. Whereas vesicular morphology was observed for both AC60–C60 and AC60–2C60 in tetrahydrofuran, in a mixture of N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF)/water, spherical micelles and cylindrical micelles were observed for AC60–C60 and AC60–2C60, respectively. A mechanism of formation was tentatively proposed based on the effects of molecular architecture and solvent polarity on self‐assembly.  相似文献

The grafting reaction of poly(1,3‐cyclohexadienyl)lithium onto fullerene‐C60 (C60) was strongly affected by the nucleophilicity of poly(1,3‐cyclohexadiene) (PCHD) carbanions and the polymer chain microstructure, and progressed via step‐by‐step reactions. A star‐shaped PCHD, having a maximum of four arms, was obtained from poly(1,3‐cyclohexadienyl)lithium composed of all 1,4‐cyclohexadiene (1,4‐CHD) units. The rate of the grafting reaction was accelerated by the addition of amine. The grafting density of PCHD arms onto C60 decreased with an increase in the molar ratio of 1,2‐cyclohexadiene (1,2‐CHD) units. The electron‐transfer reaction from PCHD carbanions to C60 did not occur in either a nonpolar solvent or a polar solvent. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Effect of fullerene C60 was investigated on thermal, mechanical and optical properties of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) under ionizing radiation. It was stated that fullerene C60 behaves as an effective antirad with respect to PMMA. Fullerene C60 addition raises temperature of destruction for polymer subjected to electron radiation by 20-25 °C, lowers the rate from 4 to 4.5 times and increases the activation barrier for radiated PMMA destruction reaction. Fullerene C60 addition promotes improvement of strength properties of PMMA: for films containing C60 addition and else subjected to electron radiation treatment a decrease in rupture strength is 10-15%, for samples containing no fullerene it equals ∼25%. Interaction of free radicals with fullerene at radiation treatment influences optical characteristics of PMMA films.  相似文献

Structural peculiarities of fullerenes C20, C24, C30, C36, C40, C60, C70, and C76 and their adducts with 1,3-dipolarophiles (ozone and diazomethane) were investigated by the DFT method with the PBE functional. A correlation between the heats of 1,3-dipolar addition reactions and the carbon surface curvatures at reaction sites in the original fullerene molecules was found.  相似文献

On the way to the fullerene-acetylene hybrid carbon allotropes 2 and 6 , the oxidative homocoupling of the 2-functionalized 1-ethynylated C60 derivatives 11, 12, 14 , and 15 was investigated. Under Glaser-Hay conditions, the two soluble dumbbell-shaped bisfullerenes 17 and 18 , with two C60 moieties linked by a buta-1,3-diynediyl bridge, were formed in 52 and 82% yield, respectively (Scheme 2). Cyclic-voltammetric measurements revealed that there is no significant electronic communication between the two fullerene spheres via the buta-1,3-diynediyl linker. Removal of the 3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl (Thp) protecting groups in 18 gave in 80% yield the highly insoluble dumbbell 19 with methanol groups in the 2,2′-positions of the buta-1,3-diynediyl-bridged carbon spheres. Attempted conversion of 19 to the all-carbon dianion 6 (C) via base-induced elimination of formaldehyde was not successful presumably due to exo-dig cyclization of the formed alkoxides. The occurrence of this cyclization under furan formation was proven for 2-[4-(trimethylsilyl)buta-1,3-diyn-1-yl][60]fullerene-1-methanol ( 21 ), a soluble model compound for 19 (Scheme 3). To compare the properties of ethynylated fullerene mono-adducts to those of corresponding higher adducts, hexakis-adducts 26 and 28 with an octahedral functionalization pattern resulting from all-e (equatorial) additions were prepared by the reversible-template method of Hirsch (Scheme 4). Reaction of the ethynylated mono-adducts 25 or 13 with diethyl 2-bromomalonate/1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) in the presence of 1,9-dimethylanthracene (DMA) as reversible template led to 26 and 28 in 28 and 22% yield, respectively. Preliminary experiments indicated a significant change in reactivity and NMR spectral properties of the fullerene addends with increasing degree of functionalization.  相似文献
