An automatic on-line system is developed for the trace determination of copper and iron species in fresh waters by flame atomic absorption spectrometry using only 5 and 2?mL of sample, for copper and iron determination, respectively. This system, which includes a home-made minicolumn of commercially available resin containing aminomethylphosphonic acid functional groups (Chelite P), comprises two operational modes. The first, used for the determination of the dissolved labile fraction (free copper and iron ions and their weak complexes) is based on the elution of this fraction from a minicolumn containing the chelating resin loaded in-situ with the sample. The second mode is used for the determination of total trace copper and iron concentrations. This last mode is based on the retention/preconcentration of total metals on the Chelite P resin after on-line sonoassisted digestion of water samples acidified with nitric acid (0.5?mol?L?1 final concentration) to break down metal organic complexes present in fresh waters as river waters. The figures of merit for copper and iron determination in both fractions are given and the obtained values are discussed. The analytical method was characterized and the limit of detection and limit of quantification for the two metals were 0.5 and 1.6?µg?L?1 for Cu and 2.3 and 6.1?µg?L?1 for Fe, respectively. The repeatability, expressed as relative standard deviation, was in the range 1.0–2.1%. The speciation scheme was applied to the analysis of river surface water samples collected in Galicia (Northwest, Spain).  相似文献

To support real biological sample application, a simple, selective and rapid LC–MS method has been developed and validated for the sensitive determination of metoclopramide in rabbit blood, ex vivo permeation studies and pharmaceutical dosage form. LC–MS analysis was performed isocratically on a Zorbax SB-C18 column with a mobile phase consisting of methanol:ammonium acetate buffer (pH 3.0) 75:25 (v/v) at a flow rate of 0.70 mL min?1. The outlet of the column was connected to a single quadrupole mass spectrometer with positive mass spectrometric detection. Ions were detected in the positive multiple reaction monitoring mode. The assay was linear over the concentration range of 1.25–200 pg μL?1 with a limit of detection of 0.077 pg μL?1 for standard solutions and 2.5–200 pg μL?1 with a limit of detection of 0.42 pg μL?1 for serum samples. The method is applicable, covering a variety of pharmaceutical and biological studies. Metoclopramide was extracted from rabbit blood by liquid–liquid extraction using ether as the extraction solvent. The reproducibility of the method was found to be between 0.96 and 1.98 % (RSD) values. The proposed method has been extensively validated for the determination of metoclopramide in all working media. The sample preparations, flow rate and run time of the analytical systems are not time consuming. Moreover, for the stability of metoclopramide, the effect of temperature, UV light, H2O2, HCl and NaOH were also investigated.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective microwave-assisted solid phase extraction procedure coupled to inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) is proposed for palladium (Pd) and platinum (Pt) quantification in environmental and biological samples. Pd and Pt were quantitatively retained on commercial thioureido propyl functionalised silica gel packed inside a home-made glass microcolumn, and later eluted with 0.5% thiourea solution under microwave irradiation, followed by ICP-MS determination. The main variables affecting the procedural stages (i.e., sorption and desorption) and ICP-MS determination were optimised. The best conditions found were: (a) sorption: sample acidity, 1?M HCl; sample flow rate, 3?mL?min?1; (b) desorption: microwave radiation, power 800?W; eluent concentration, 0.5% thiourea; eluent flow rate, 0.5?mL?min?1; (c) ICP-MS determination: nebuliser feeding, free aspiration (0.3?mL?min?1); internal standard, Rh (5?µg?L?1). Analyte recoveries were higher than 90% and concentration factors up to 90 and 92 were achieved for Pd and Pt, respectively. Depending on the conditions, the methodological limits of detection were down to 0.2?ng?L?1 for both analytes and repeatability, expressed as RSD%, varied between 1.3 and 11.0%. A method selectivity evaluation showed that most of the ICP-MS interferents were either quantitatively separated or more than 86% eliminated, except for Cu (elimination efficiency around 30%). Finally, the method was successfully used to determine Pd in certified reference materials (i.e. human urine and serum) and Pd and Pt in PM10 airborne particulate matter fractions.  相似文献

Titanium was determined in nano-titanium(IV) oxide food packaging by microwave digestion with inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Microwave digestion was optimized using different acid combinations. Both spectrometry techniques showed good reproducibility, repeatability, and recovery. For ICP-AES, the limit of detection was 5.0 mg kg?1, the linear dynamic range was 100–5000 µ g L?1, the average recoveries for blank samples spiked with titanium were between 94.7% and 100.1%, and the relative standard deviations were from 2.1% to 7.1%. By ICP-MS, the limit of detection was 0.3 mg kg?1, the linear dynamic range was 0.5–200 µ g L?1, the recoveries were 88.4%–96.3%, and the relative standard deviations were 6.3%–7.4%. These results indicated that methods were effective for the determination of titanium in food packaging.  相似文献

A sequential injection analysis (SIA) spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amount of mercury (II) with pyrogallol red (PGR) was described. The method was based on the measurement of absorbance of the mercury (II)–PGR complex, yielding a light yellow-coloured product at pH 9.0 with absorption maximum at 370 nm. The SIA parameters affecting the signal response were optimised in order to obtain the better sensitivity and minimum reagent consumption. The linear range for determination of mercury (II) was over the range of 0.1–2.0 mg L?1. The limit of detection and limit of quantification, calculated following IUPAC were 0.06 and 0.10 mg L?1, respectively. The repeatability was 1.25% (= 10) for 0.5 mg L?1 of mercury (II). The proposed method was successfully applied to determine the mercury (II) in commercial cosmetics, local Thai traditional medicines and water samples with a sampling rate of 40 h?1. Results obtained were in justifiable agreement with those obtained by the official ICP-MS method at the 95% confidence level.  相似文献

In this work, a sensitive flow injection chemiluminescence (FI-CL) method for the determination of nematicide Fenamiphos in a rapid and simple way is proposed. Fenamiphos is first photodegraded in basic medium. These photofragments react with Ce(IV) providing the chemiluminescence signal. To the authors’ knowledge, no chemiluminescence method has been described in the literature for the determination of the nematicide Fenamiphos. All physical and chemical parameters in the flow injection chemiluminescence system were optimized in order to obtain the best sensitivity, selectivity and sample throughput. Before the injection of the sample in the FI-CL system, a preconcentration step with solid phase extraction C18 cartridges was performed. By applying solid phase extraction (SPE) to 250?mL of standard (final volume 10?mL), the linear dynamic range was between 3.4 and 60?µg?L?1, and the detection limit was 1?µg?L?1. When SPE was applied to 500?mL of standard (final volume 10?mL), the detection limit was 0.5?µg?L?1. These detection limits are below the emission limit value established by the Spanish Regulations of the Hydraulic Public Domain for pesticides (50?µg?L?1) and of the same order as the limit established for total pesticides (0.5?µg?L?1) at European Directive on the quality of water for human consumption. The sample throughput was 126 hour?1. Intraday and interday coefficients of variation were below 10% in all cases. No interference was registered in presence of usual concentrations of anions, cations and other organophosphorus pesticides. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of environmental water samples, obtaining recoveries between 96 and 107.5%.  相似文献

The polarographic behavior of gemfibrozil is investigated in 0.2 mol L?1 KH2PO4‐Na2HPO4 (pH 5.8±0.1)‐8% ethanol supporting electrolyte in the absence and the presence of dissolved oxygen. The results demonstrate that the polarographic reduction peak at ca. ?1.17 V is a catalytic hydrogen wave after deaeration, and the enhanced reduction peak in the presence of dissolved oxygen is the so‐called parallel catalytic hydrogen wave. Based on the parallel catalytic hydrogen wave, a novel method has been developed for the determination of gemfibrozil by single sweep polarography. Calibration plot is linear in the range of 1.8×10?7–2.4×10?6 mol L?1 and detection limit is 9.0×10?8 mol L?1. The proposed method is applied to the direct determination of the gemfibrozil in pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed method is simpler, faster and more sensitive than the known methods for gemfibrozil analyses.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and sensitive cyclic voltammetry method is described for the determination of the antihypertensive drug captopril in aqueous solution using a graphite paste electrode with rutin as mediator. The catalytic role of rutin in the oxidation of captopril was confirmed by the increase observed in anodic peak current at+0.44 V vs. SCE in the presence of the mediator. Anodic peak current varied linearly with the concentration of captopril in the dynamic range 0.2 to 1.0 mmol L?1. The method exhibited a limit of detection of 89.4 μmol L?1 and a reproducibility of 1 %, values that are comparable with those exhibited by other methodologies employing electrodes without any modification. The recovery rate for the determination of captopril in a pharmaceutical sample was good (91.21 %) suggesting that the described analytical technique would be effective in industrial applications whilst offering a number of advantages over published cyclic voltammetric methods.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode chemically modified with nickel oxyhydroxide from a nickel hexacyanoferrate (NiHCF) film was used to determine glycerol in biodiesel by cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode exhibited a linear response to glycerol concentration in the range from 0.05 to 0.35 mmol L?1, and a detection limit of 0.030 mmol L?1. The glycerol concentration found in the biodiesel sample was 0.156 mmol L?1. The method developed in this study showed a recovery of (100.3±5.0)%.  相似文献

An electrochemical immunoassay for microcystin-LR (MC-LR) detection was developed using multi-labeled horseradish peroxidase-mimicking DNAzyme on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as electrocatalyst for signal amplification. CNTs were covalently conjugated to multiple DNAzyme along with MC-LR for a competitive immunoassay. The as-prepared DNAzyme/CNTs/MC-LR biolabel was specifically captured on the electrode surface, and current responses were obtained upon the electro-catalytic reduction of hydrogen peroxide by the captured biolabels. Under optimal conditions, the electro-catalytic current decreased linearly with the increase amount of MC-LR in the range from 0.01 to 7.0 µg L?1. The linear regression equation was I (µA) = 12.96 ? 1.48 X [MC–LR] (µg L?1), with a correlation coefficient of 0.989. The limit of detection of MC-LR was 2.31 ng L?1. Application of the immunoassay method and LC/MS/MS method for MC-LR determination on spiked reservoir water gave recovery range of 91.7–105.2% and 94.0–105.0%, respectively. The resulting versatile immunoassay exhibited high sensitivity, good precision and satisfactory reproducibility, which could have vast potential in routine water quality monitoring for various environmental toxins.  相似文献

An inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP‐MS) was used as a liquid chromatographic detector for the speciation analysis of thallium in environmental samples. In this study, ionic thallium species, namely Tl(I) and Tl(III) were well separated by reversed‐phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP‐HPLC) with a C8‐HPLC column as the stationary phase and 1 mmol L?1 tetrabutylammonium phosphate (TBAP), 2 mmol L?1 diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) in 1% v/v methanol solution (pH 6) as the mobile phase. Effluent from the HPLC column was delivered to the nebulizer of the ICP‐MS for the determination of thallium. The separation was complete in less than 3 min. Detection limit was 0.002 μg L?1 for both Tl(I) and Tl(III) compounds based on peak height. The relative standard deviation of the peak areas for five injections of a mixture containing 1 μg Tl L?1 was better than 3.4%. The concentrations of Tl compounds were determined in standard reference materials, including NIST SRM 1643e Trace Elements in Water and NRCC NASS‐5 Open Ocean Seawater and water samples collected in Kaohsiung area, Taiwan. The HPLC‐ICP‐MS results of the reference samples agreed with the reference values. This method has also been applied to determine Tl(I) and Tl(III) compounds in custard apple (Annona squamosa) leaves collected from Chai‐shan Mountain, Kaohsiung and Taitung City, Taiwan. The thallium species were quantitatively leached from the leaves with a 5 mmol L?1 DTPA in 100 mmol L?1 ammonium acetate solution in an ultrasonic bath during a period of 30 min. The HPLC‐ICP‐MS result that was obtained after the analysis of leaves sample showed a satisfactory agreement with the total thallium concentration obtained by ICP‐MS analysis of completely dissolved sample.  相似文献

We propose an electrochemical sensor based on applying two successive thin layers from a mixture of multiwalled carbon nanotubes‐ionic liquid crystal and crown ether at glassy carbon electrode surface (GC/(CNTs‐ILC)/Crown). The sensor was used for sensitive determination of neurotransmitters based on effective synergism between its components. The compact conducting surface of (CNTs ‐ ILC) with large surface area allowed the assembling of stable host‐guest inclusion complexes between crown ethers and neurotransmitters. The GC/(CNTs‐ILC)/Crown exhibited excellent electro‐catalytic activity toward the determination of serotonin (ST) in a wide linear dynamic range: 0.005 μmol L?1 to 100 μmol L?1. In the concentration range 0.005 μmol L?1 to 1 μmol L?1, the detection limit is 2.03×10?10 mol L?1 and quantification limit is 6.78×10?10 mol L?1 with correlation coefficient 0.999. The sensor was successfully applied for ST detection in human serum samples with satisfied recovery results. The sensor showed excellent analytical performance for the determination of ST in terms of low detection limit, good sensitivity and reproducibility. Furthermore excellent anti‐interference ability and simultaneous determination of ST in presence of other compounds as ascorbic acid, dopamine and antidepressant drug were achieved.  相似文献

A simple and inexpensive laboratory-built vapor generator was used with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for the determination of mercury in urine and seawater samples. The applications of vapor generation ICP-MS alleviated the non-spectroscopic interferences and the sensitivity problem of mercury determination encountered when the conventional pneumatic nebulizer was used for sample introduction. The concentration of mercury was determined by isotope dilution method. The isotope ratio of mercury was calculated from the peak areas of each injection peak. The repeatability of the peak areas and isotope ratio determinations of seven consecutive injections of 1 ng mL?1 Hg solution were 2.3% and 2.2%, respectively. This method has a detection limit of 0.07 ng mL?1 for mercury. This method was applied to determine mercury in a CASS-3 nearshore seawater reference sample, NASS-4 open ocean seawater reference sample, NIST SRM 2670 freeze-dried urine reference sample and several urine and seawater samples collected from National Sun Yat-Sen University. The results for the reference samples agreed satisfactorily with the reference values. Results for other samples analyzed by the isotope dilution method and the method of standard additions agreed satisfactorily. Precision was better than 10% for most of the determinations.  相似文献

On‐line solid‐phase extraction (SPE) for pre‐concentration and sample cleanup is one strategy to reduce matrix effects and to simultaneously improve detection sensitivity in liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS). This paper describes an on‐line SPE‐LC/MS method for the determination of tributyltin (TBT) and triphenyltin (TPhT) at trace levels in water samples. The direct coupling of an on‐line C18 pre‐column to LC/MS was used to pre‐concentrate TBT and TPhT at trace levels from waters and to remove interfering matrix effects. Pre‐concentration was followed by separation of TBT and TPhT on a C18 column using a mobile phase containing 0.1% (v/v) HCOOH/5 mM HCOONH4 and methanol. While both electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) can be interfaced with MS for the detection of TBT and TPhT, ESI‐MS was preferred for this application. The calibration curve for the targets was linear in the concentration range 0.1–30 µg L?1. The detection limit (signal‐to‐noise (S/N) ratio = 3) was 0.02 µg L?1 when 3.0 mL of sample was enriched on the C18 pre‐column. The recoveries of TBT and TPhT in spiked waters were from 81.0 to 101.9%. The reproducibilities for the analysis of the standard mixture (10 µg L?1) for TBT and TPhT were 13.1 and 5.0%, respectively. The developed method was an easy and fast way to analyze TBT and TPhT in water samples. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A method was developed for the on-line determination of palladium in complex matrices with flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) using Amberlite XAD-16 resin functionalized with 2-[2-(5-thiol-1,3,4-thiadiazolyl)]-azonaphthol (TTAN) reagent. Optimum experimental conditions such as pH of sample, type of eluent, amount of resin, volumes of sample and eluent solution, flow rates of sample and eluent, and effect of interfering ions were established. A 0.1?mol?L?1 thiourea solution in 0.5?mol?L?1 HCl was used as the eluent and subsequently transportation the analyte ions into the nebulizer–burner system for atomization. The synthesized chelating resin material showed excellent chemical and mechanical resistance, fast adsorption kinetics permitting the use of high sample flow rates without significant losses of retention efficiency. The detection limit of the method was 1.5?µg?L?1 while the relative standard deviation (RSD%) was 2.4% at 0.1?mg?L?1 Pd(II) level. The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of palladium in the catalytic converter and water samples.  相似文献

A flow injection chemiluminescence (CL) method is described for the determination of trenbolone acetate based on the CL generated during its reaction with KMnO4 in acidic medium. The CL intensity is greatly enhanced by alizarin yellow R. The CL intensity is linear with trenbolone acetate concentration in the range 0.1–100.0 mg L?1 with a detection limit of 0.05 mg L?1. The sample throughout is about 90 h?1 and the relative standard deviation for 2.0 mg L?1 trenbolone acetate solution is 1.5% (n = 11). The proposed method was applied to the determination of trenbolone acetate in cattle feeds.  相似文献

A novel arsine generator glass assembly is constructed and reported for the spectrophotometric determination and speciation of arsenic in real samples. In an arsine generator, sodium borohydride is added dropwise to the acidic sample solution and arsine thus formed is reacted with silver diethyldithiocarbamate (Ag‐DDTC) ‐ Tritron‐X (TX‐100) solution in pyridine to form a red coloured complex. The complex showed the absorption maximum at λmax 540 nm. The molar absorptivity of the method was found to be (1.55) × 104 L mole?1 cm?1 at this wavelength. The presence of non‐ionic surfactant, i.e. TX‐100 in the Ag‐DDTC solution, makes the method ≈ 3 times more sensitive than the conventional Ag‐DDTC method. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range of 0.05–2.80 mg L?1 of arsenic. The detection limit of the method was calculated to be 20 μg L?1 As. Speciation of arsenite from other forms of arsenic in sample solutions was carried out by extraction of arsenite with Pb‐DDTC in chloroform, followed by spectrophotometric determination. After arsenite separation the sample is used for the arsenate determination. Total arsenic was determined by acid decomposition of the same sample. The speciation data were found to be comparable (±2%) with ICP‐MS, with better precision (< 1%). The method has been successfully applied for the speciation of arsenic in drinking water and dust samples of arsenic affecting the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, India, and urine and blood samples of patients with arsenical diseases. Concentration of total arsenic in tube‐well water of this area was 3–6 times more than the permissible limit. Dust samples contained less amounts of arsenic than the ground water.  相似文献

Single‐walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs) were dispersed into DMSO, and a SWCNTs‐film coated glassy carbon electrode was achieved via evaporating the solvent. The results indicated that CNT modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited efficiently electrocatalytic reduction for ranitidine and metronidazole with relatively high sensitivity, stability and life time. Under conditions of cyclic voltammetry, the potential for reduction of selected analytes is lowered by approximately 150 mV and current is enhanced significantly (7 times) in comparison to the bare glassy carbon electrode. The electrocatalytic behavior is further exploited as a sensitive detection scheme for these analytes determinations by hydrodynamic amperometry. Under optimized condition in amperometric method the concentration calibration range, detection limit and sensitivity were about, 0.1–200 μM, detection limit (S/N=3) 6.3×10?8 mol L?1 and sensitivity 40 nA/μM for metronidazole and 0.3–270 μM 7.73×10?8 mol L?1 and 25 nA/μM for ranitidine. In addition, the ability of the modified electrode for simultaneous determination of ranitidine and metronidazole was evaluated. The proposed method was successfully applied to ranitidine and metronidazole determination in tablets. The analytical performance of this sensor has been evaluated for detection of these analytes in serum as a real sample.  相似文献

A method has been developed for the analysis of rare earth elements (REEs) in kimberlite samples using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). The samples were dissolved using sodium peroxide fusion and after appropriate dilutions the solutions were analyzed using ICP-MS. The paper presents the concentration of rare-earth elements as determined by ICP-MS in eight kimberlite samples from Central India. The method was validated using certified reference materials STSD-1 and STSD-2 from Canadian Certified Reference Material Project. The method detection limit of various REEs varies from 0.12 to 1.54?mg?kg?1. The total REE concentrations range from 418 to 726?mg?kg?1 and fall within the interval of those reported in the literature for kimberlites. Despite the marked difference in the REE contents, all the analyzed samples show similar REE patterns that resemble those for kimberlites. In order to compare ICP-MS results, the samples were analyzed using instrumental neutron activation analysis which is a reference method for determination of REEs in geological samples.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A new sorbent and chemosensor for highly selective and sensitive on-site preconcentration and colorimetric determination of Pd(II) was developed based on its reaction with 3-methyl-2,6-dimercapto-1,4-thiopyrone (MDT) immobilised onto polyurethane foam (PUF). Complexation of Pd(II) with MDT sorbed on PUF tablets leads to a contrast change in the sorbent colour from pale yellow to reddish-brown. The developed chemosensor is highly selective with respect to the transition and platinum group metals. It has a maximum sorption capacity of 17 µmol g?1 for Pd(II). Reaction is possible in a strongly acidic medium (up to10 M HCl), and the properties of the chemosensor do not change during storage for a long time. The colorimetric response of the chemosensor was measured using red–green–blue (RGB) colour model. The dependence of the luminosity of the G channel on the Pd(II) concentration was linear in the concentration range from 0.3 to 64 µg L?1 with a detection limit of 0.1 µg L?1 (R2 = 0.997). The colour scale for visual detection of Pd(II) was constructed in the concentration range of 0.02–0.64 mg L?1 for the sorption from 20 mL of an aqueous sample. The accuracy of the developed methods was assessed by the analysis of a certified reference material (platinum–palladium alloy) and by comparison with the results of gravimetric or graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) determination of Pd. The developed method was successfully applied to determine Pd in samples of mine water and road dust, in the electrolyte bath and in the sewage sludge of a palladium electroplating bath.  相似文献
