Reported herein is an unprecedented copper‐catalyzed arylation of remote C(sp3)?H bonds. Stirring a trifluorotoluene solution of either N‐fluorocarboxamides or N‐fluorosulfonamides and arylboronic acids in the presence of a catalytic amount of copper(II) trifluoroacetylacetonate, 2,2′‐bipyridine, and sodium tert‐butoxide afforded the γ‐ and δ‐C(sp3)?H arylated carboxamides and sulfonamides, respectively, in good to high yields. Mechanistic studies indicate that the reaction might proceed through an amidyl radical generation, 1,5‐hydrogen atom transfer (HAT), and copper‐catalyzed cross‐coupling of the resulting carbon radical with arylboronic acids.  相似文献

A new range of CF3‐substituted aminomethyldiphosphine (P―C―N) ligands ((C6H5)2PCH2)2NR (R = ―C6H4(2‐CF3) ( 1 ), ―C6H4(3‐CF3) ( 1b ) has been synthesized from 2‐(trifluoromethyl)aniline and 3‐(trifluoromethyl)aniline with diphenylphosphine. The aminomethyldiphosphine ligands were reacted with Pd(cod)Cl2 to give corresponding metal complexes, PdLCl2 ( 2a , 2b ). The aminomethyldiphosphine–palladium compounds were characterized by utilizing several methods including NMR (1H, 13C, 31P) and elemental analysis. These compounds were used as catalysts in Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction of aryl chlorides and bromides. The effect of base was also investigated in this current project. CF3‐substituted aminomethyldiphosphine–palladium complexes were found to be efficient catalysts in Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction of activated and deactivated aryl boronic acids. The oxidation of perfluorobutene‐2 (C4F8) initiated by trifluoromethyl hypofluorite (CF3OF) in presence of O2 has been studied at 323.1, 332.6, 342.5, and 352.0 K, using a conventional static system. The initial pressure of CF3OF was varied between 4.8 and 23.6 Torr, that of C4F8 between 48.7 and 302.4 Torr, and that of O2 between 51.5 and 270.4 Torr. Several runs were made in presence of 325.5–451.2 Torr of N2. The main products were COF2, CF3C(O)F, and CF3OC(O)F. Small amounts of compound containing ? CF(CF3)? O? C(O)CF3 group were also formed, as detected by 13C NMR spectroscopy. The oxidation is a homogeneous short‐chain reaction, attaining, at the pressure of O2 used, the pseudo‐zero‐order condition with respect to O2 as reactant. The reaction is independent of the total pressure. Its basic steps are as follows: the thermal generation of CF3O? radicals by the abstraction of fluorine atom of CF3OF by C4F8, the addition of CF3O? to the alkene, the formation of perfluoroalkoxy radicals RO? in presence of O2, and the decomposition of these radicals via the C? C bond scission, giving products containing ? C(O)F end group and reforming RO? and CF3O? radicals. The mechanism consistent with experimental results is postulated. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Carbon monoxide (CO) has recently been identified as a gaseous signaling molecule that exerts various salutary effects in mammalian pathophysiology. Photoactive metal carbonyl complexes (photoCORMs) are ideal exogenous candidates for more controllable and site‐specific CO delivery compared to gaseous CO. Along this line, our group has been engaged for the past few years in developing group‐7‐based photoCORMs towards the efficient eradication of various malignant cells. Moreover, several such complexes can be tracked within cancerous cells by virtue of their luminescence. The inherent luminecscent nature of some photoCORMs and the change in emission wavelength upon CO release also provide a covenient means to track the entry of the prodrug and, in some cases, both the entry and CO release from the prodrug. In continuation of the research circumscribing the development of trackable photoCORMs and also to graft such molecules covalently to conventional delivery vehicles, we report herein the synthesis and structures of three rhenium carbonyl complexes, namely, fac‐tricarbonyl[2‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐1,3‐benzothiazole‐κ2N ,N ′](4‐vinylpyridine‐κN )rhenium(I) trifluoromethanesulfonate, [Re(C7H7N)(C12H8N2S)(CO)3](CF3SO3), ( 1 ), fac‐tricarbonyl[2‐(quinolin‐2‐yl)‐1,3‐benzothiazole‐κ2N ,N ′](4‐vinylpyridine‐κN )rhenium(I) trifluoromethanesulfonate, [Re(C7H7N)(C16H10N2S)(CO)3](CF3SO3), ( 2 ), and fac‐tricarbonyl[1,10‐phenanthroline‐κ2N ,N ′](4‐vinylpyridine‐κN )rhenium(I) trifluoromethanesulfonate, [Re(C7H7N)(C12H8N2)(CO)3](CF3SO3), ( 3 ). In all three complexes, the ReI center resides in a distorted octahedral coordination environment. These complexes exhibit CO release upon exposure to low‐power UV light. The apparent CO release rates of the complexes have been measured to assess their comparative CO‐donating capacity. The three complexes are highly luminescent and this in turn provides a convenient way to track the entry of the prodrug molecules within biological targets.  相似文献

Novel Neutral and Cationic Mono‐Aziridine Complexes of the Type [CpMn(CO)2Az], [CpCr(NO)2Az]+, and [(Ph3P)(CO)4ReAz]+ via CO‐, Hydride‐, and Chloride‐Elimination Reactions The monoaziridine complexes 1 — 5 are obtained by three differently induced substitution reactions. The photolytically induced CO substitution reaction of [CpMn(CO)3] with 2, 2‐dimethylaziridine leads to the neutral N‐coordinate aziridine complex [Cp(CO)2Mn{$\overline{N(H)CMe2C}$ H2}] ( 1 ). The protonation of [(Ph3P)(CO)4ReH] with CF3SO3H and consecutive treatment with 2, 2‐dimethylaziridine or 2‐ethylaziridine gives the salt‐like aziridine complexes [(Ph3P)(CO)4Re{$\overline{N(H)CMe2C}$ H2}](CF3SO3) ( 2 ) or [(Ph3P)(CO)4Re{ H2}](CF3SO3) ( 3 ) by hydride elimination reactions. The like‐wise salt‐like complexes [Cp(NO)2Cr{$\overline{N(H)CMe2C}$ H2}](BF4) ( 4 ) and [Cp(NO)2Cr{ H2}](CF3SO3) ( 5 ) are synthesized from [CpCr(NO)2Cl] by chloride elimination with AgX (X = BF4, CF3SO3) in the presence of 2, 2‐dimethylaziridine or 2‐ethylaziridine, respectively. As a result of X‐ray structure analyses, the metal atoms are trigonal pyramidally ( 1, 4, 5 ) or octahedrally ( 2, 3 , cis‐position) configurated; the intact three‐membered rings coordinate through the distorted tetrahedrally configurated N atoms. All compounds 1‐5 are stable with respect to the directed thermal alkene elimination to give the corresponding nitrene complexes; the IR, 1H‐ and 13C{1H}‐NMR, and MS spectra are reported and discussed.  相似文献

The rate constants k1 for the reaction of CF3CF2CF2CF2CF2CHF2 with OH radicals were determined by using both absolute and relative rate methods. The absolute rate constants were measured at 250–430 K using the flash photolysis–laser‐induced fluorescence (FP‐LIF) technique and the laser photolysis–laser‐induced fluorescence (LP‐LIF) technique to monitor the OH radical concentration. The relative rate constants were measured at 253–328 K in an 11.5‐dm3 reaction chamber with either CHF2Cl or CH2FCF3 as a reference compound. OH radicals were produced by UV photolysis of an O3–H2O–He mixture at an initial pressure of 200 Torr. Ozone was continuously introduced into the reaction chamber during the UV irradiation. The k1 (298 K) values determined by the absolute method were (1.69 ± 0.07) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 (FP‐LIF method) and (1.72 ± 0.07) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 (LP‐LIF method), whereas the K1 (298 K) values determined by the relative method were (1.87 ± 0.11) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 (CHF2Cl reference) and (2.12 ± 0.11) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 (CH2FCF3 reference). These data are in agreement with each other within the estimated experimental uncertainties. The Arrhenius rate constant determined from the kinetic data was K1 = (4.71 ± 0.94) × 10?13 exp[?(1630 ± 80)/T] cm3 molecule?1 s?1. Using kinetic data for the reaction of tropospheric CH3CCl3 with OH radicals [k1 (272 K) = 6.0 × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1, tropospheric lifetime of CH3CCl3 = 6.0 years], we estimated the tropospheric lifetime of CF3CF2CF2CF2CF2CHF2 through reaction with OH radicals to be 31 years. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reaction of nitroxyl radicals TEMPO (2,2′,6,6′‐tetramethylpiperidinyloxyl) and AZADO (2‐azaadamantane‐N‐oxyl) with an iron(I) synthon affords iron(II)‐nitroxido complexes (ArL)Fe(κ1‐TEMPO) and (ArL)Fe(κ2‐N,O‐AZADO) (ArL=1,9‐(2,4,6‐Ph3C6H2)2‐5‐mesityldipyrromethene). Both high‐spin iron(II)‐nitroxido species are stable in the absence of weak C−H bonds, but decay via N−O bond homolysis to ferrous or ferric iron hydroxides in the presence of 1,4‐cyclohexadiene. Whereas (ArL)Fe(κ1‐TEMPO) reacts to give a diferrous hydroxide [(ArL)Fe]2(μ‐OH)2, the reaction of four‐coordinate (ArL)Fe(κ2‐N,O‐AZADO) with hydrogen atom donors yields ferric hydroxide (ArL)Fe(OH)(AZAD). Mechanistic experiments reveal saturation behavior in C−H substrate and are consistent with rate‐determining hydrogen atom transfer.  相似文献

The functionalization of internal olefins has been a challenging task in organic synthesis. Efficient CuII‐catalyzed trifluoromethylation of internal olefins, that is, α‐oxoketene dithioacetals, has been achieved by using Cu(OH)2 as a catalyst and TMSCF3 as a trifluoromethylating reagent. The push–pull effect from the polarized olefin substrates facilitates the internal olefinic C?H trifluoromethylation. Cyclic and acyclic dithioalkyl α‐oxoketene acetals were used as the substrates and various substituents were tolerated. The internal olefinic C?H bond cleavage was not involved in the rate‐determining step, and a mechanism that involves radicals is proposed based on a TEMPO‐quenching experiment of the trifluoromethylation reaction. Further derivatization of the resultant CF3 olefins led to multifunctionalized tetrasubstituted CF3 olefins and trifluoromethylated N‐heterocycles.  相似文献

The reactions of py‐hz ligands ( L1–L5 ) with Pb(CF3SO3)2?H2O resulted in some rare examples of discrete single‐stranded helical PbII complexes. L1 and L2 formed non‐helical mononuclear complexes [Pb L1 (CF3SO3)2]?CHCl3 and Pb L2 (CF3SO3)2][Pb L2 CF3SO3]CF3SO3?CH3CN, which reflected the high coordination number and effective saturation of PbII by the ligands. The reaction of L3 with PbII resulted in a dinuclear meso‐helicate [Pb2 L3 (CF3SO3)2Br]CF3SO3?CH3CN with a stereochemically‐active lone pair on PbII. L4 directed single‐stranded helicates with PbII, including [Pb2 L4 (CF3SO3)3]CF3SO3?CH3CN and [Pb2 L4 CF3SO3(CH3OH)2](CF3SO3)3?2 CH3OH?2 H2O. The acryloyl‐modified py‐hz ligand L5 formed helical and non‐helical complexes with PbII, including a trinuclear PbII complex [Pb3 L5 (CF3SO3)5]CF3SO3?3CH3CN?Et2O. The high denticity of the long‐stranded py‐hz ligands L4 and L5 was essential to the formation of single‐stranded helicates with PbII.  相似文献

Chiral Half‐sandwich Pentamethylcyclopentadienyl Rhodium(III) and Iridium(III) Complexes with Schiff Bases from Salicylaldehyde and α‐Amino Acid Esters [1] A series of diastereoisomeric half‐sandwich complexes with Schiff bases from salicylaldehyde and L‐α‐amino acid esters including chiral metal atoms, [(η5‐C5H5)(Cl)M(N,O‐Schiff base)], has been obtained from chloro bridged complexes [(η5‐C5Me5)(Cl)M(μ‐Cl)]2 (M = Rh, Ir). Abstraction of chloride from these complexes with Ag[BF4] or Ag[SO3CF3] affords the highly sensitive compounds [(η5‐C5Me5)M(N,O‐Schiff base]+X? (M = Rh, Ir; X = BF4, CF3SO3) to which PPh3 can be added under formation of [(η5‐C5Me5)M(PPh3)(N,O‐Schiff base)]+X?. The diastereoisomeric ratio of the complexes ( 1 ‐ 7 and 11 ‐ 12 ) has been determined from NMR spectra.  相似文献

Oxidative addition reactions of quinolines 1a , b with Pd(dba)2 in the presence of PPh3 (1:2) in acetone gave dinuclear palladium complexes [Pd(C,N‐2‐C9 H4N‐CHO‐3‐R‐6)Cl(PPh3)]2 [(R = H ( 2a ), R = OMe ( 2b ), which were reacted with isocyanide XyNC (Xy = 2,6‐Me2C6H3) to give novel iminoacyl quinolinylpalladium complexes 3a , b in good yields (81 and 77%). Cyclopalladated complexes 3a , b were also obtained in low yields (39 and 33.5%) via one‐pot reaction of 1a , b with isonitrile XyNC:Pd(dba)2 (4:1). The reaction of 3a , b with Tl(TfO) (TfO = triflate, CF3SO3) in the presence of H2O or EtOH causes depalladation reactions of complexes to provide the corresponding organic compounds 4a , b , 5a , b and 6a , b in yields of 41, 27 and 18 ? 19%, respectively. The products were characterized by satisfactory elemental analyses and spectral studies (IR, 1H, 13C and 31P NMR). The crystal structures 2a , 3a and 3b were determined by X‐ray diffraction studies. The robust, high‐valent NiIV complex [(Py)2NiIVF2(CF3)2] (Py=pyridine) was synthesized and fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and elemental analysis. It reacts with aromatic compounds at 25 °C to form the corresponding benzotrifluorides in nearly quantitative yield. The monomeric and dimeric NiIIICF3 complexes 2 ⋅Py and 2 were identified as key intermediates, and their structures were unambiguously determined by EPR spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction. Preliminary kinetic studies in combination with the isolation of reaction intermediates confirmed that the C−H bond‐breaking/C−CF3 bond‐forming sequence can occur both at NiIVCF3 and NiIIICF3 centers.  相似文献

Chemical reactions involving quantum mechanical tunneling (QMT) increasingly attract the attention of scientists. In contrast to the hydrogen‐tunneling as frequently observed in chemistry and biology, tunneling solely by heavy atoms is rare. Herein, we report heavy‐atom tunneling in trifluoroacetyl nitrene, CF3C(O)N. The carbonyl nitrene CF3C(O)N in the triplet ground state was generated in cryogenic matrices by laser (193 or 266 nm) photolysis of CF3C(O)N3 and characterized by IR and EPR spectroscopy. In contrast to the theoretically predicted activation barriers (>10 kcal mol−1), CF3C(O)N undergoes rapid rearrangement into CF3NCO with half‐life times of less than 10 min and unprecedentedly large 14N/15N kinetic isotope effects (1.18–1.33) in solid Ar, Ne, and N2 matrices even at 2.8 K. The tunneling disappearance of CF3C(O)N becomes much slower in the chemically active toluene and in 2‐methyltetrahydrofuran at 5 K.  相似文献

A series of [Au2(nixantphos)2](X)2 (nixantphos=4,6‐bis(diphenylphosphino)‐phenoxazine; X=NO3, 1 ; CF3COO, 2 ; CF3SO3, 3 ; [Au(CN)2], 4 ; and BF4, 5 ) complexes that exhibit intriguing anion‐switchable and stimuli‐responsive luminescent photophysical properties have been synthesized and characterized. Depending on their anions, these complexes display yellow ( 3 ), orange ( 4 and 5 ), and red ( 1 and 2 ) emission colors. They exhibit reversible thermo‐, mechano‐, and vapochromic luminescence changes readily perceivable by the naked eye. Single‐crystal X‐ray studies show that the [Au2(nixantphos)2]2+ cations with short intramolecular Au ??? Au interactions are involved as donors in an infinite N?H ??? X (X=O and N) hydrogen‐bonded chain formation with CF3COO? ( 2 C ) and aurophilically linked [Au(CN)2]? counterions ( 4 C ). Both crystals show thermochromic luminescence; their room temperature red ( 2 C ) and orange ( 4 C ) emission turns into yellow upon cooling to 77 K. They also exhibit reversible mechanochromic luminescence by changing their emission color from red to dark ( 2 C ), and orange to red ( 4 C ). Compounds 1 – 5 also display reversible mechanochromic luminescence, altering their emission colors between orange ( 1 ) or red ( 2 ) to dark, as well as between yellow ( 3 ) or orange ( 4 and 5 ) to red. Detailed photophysical investigations and correlation with solid‐state structural data established the significant role of N?H ??? X interactions in the stimuli‐responsive luminescent behavior.  相似文献

Visible‐light capture activates a thermodynamically inert CoIII−CF3 bond for direct C−H trifluoromethylation of arenes and heteroarenes. New trifluoromethylcobalt(III) complexes supported by a redox‐active [OCO] pincer ligand were prepared. Coordinating solvents, such as MeCN, afford green, quasi‐octahedral [(SOCO)CoIII(CF3)(MeCN)2] ( 2 ), but in non‐coordinating solvents the complex is red, square pyramidal [(SOCO)CoIII(CF3)(MeCN)] ( 3 ). Both are thermally stable, and 2 is stable in light. But exposure of 3 to low‐energy light results in facile homolysis of the CoIII−CF3 bond, releasing .CF3 radical, which is efficiently trapped by TEMPO. or (hetero)arenes. The homolytic aromatic substitution reactions do not require a sacrificial or substrate‐derived oxidant because the CoII by‐product of CoIII−CF3 homolysis produces H2. The photophysical properties of 2 and 3 provide a rationale for the disparate light stability.  相似文献

Syntheses and NMR Spectroscopic Ivestigations of Salts containing the Novel Anions [PtXn(CF3)6‐n]2— (n = 0 ‐ 5, X = F, OH, Cl, CN) and Crystal Structure of K2[(CF3)2F2Pt(μ‐OH)2PtF2(CF3)2]·2H2O The first syntheses of trifluoromethyl‐complexes of platinum through fluorination of cyanoplatinates are reported. The fluorination of tetracyanoplatinates(II), K2[Pt(CN)4], and hexacyanoplatinates(IV), K2[Pt(CN)6], with ClF in anhydrous HF leads after working up of the products to K2[(CF3)2F2Pt(μ‐OH)2PtF2(CF3)2]·2H2O. The structure of the salt is determined by a X‐ray structure analysis, P21/c (Nr. 14), a = 11.391(2), b = 11.565(2), c = 13.391(3)Å, β = 90.32(3)°, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0326 (I > 2σ(I)). The reaction of [Bu4N]2[Pt(CN)4] with ClF in CH2Cl2 generates mainly cis‐[Bu4N]2[PtCl2(CF3)4] and fac‐[Bu4N]2[PtCl3(CF3)3], but in contrast that of [Bu4N]2[Pt(CN)6] with ClF in CH2Cl2 results cis‐[Bu4N]2[PtX2(CF3)4], [Bu4N]2[PtX(CF3)5] (X = F, Cl) and [Bu4N]2[Pt(CF3)6]. In the products [Bu4N]2[PtXn(CF3)6‐n] (X = F, Cl, n = 0—3) it is possibel to exchange the fluoro‐ligands into chloro‐ and cyano‐ligands by treatment with (CH3)3SiCl und (CH3)3SiCN at 50 °C. With continuing warming the trifluoromethyl‐ligands are exchanged by chloro‐ and cyano‐ligands, while as intermediates CF2Cl and CF2CN ligands are formed. The identity of the new trifluoromethyl‐platinates is proved by 195Pt‐ and 19F‐NMR‐spectroscopy.  相似文献

Rate constants were determined for the reactions of OH radicals with halogenated cyclobutanes cyclo‐CF2CF2CHFCH2? (k1), trans‐cyclo‐CF2CF2CHClCHF? (k2), cyclo‐CF2CFClCH2CH2? (k3), trans‐cyclo‐CF2CFClCHClCH2? (k4), and cis‐cyclo‐CF2CFClCHClCH2? (k5) by using a relative rate method. OH radicals were prepared by photolysis of ozone at a UV wavelength (254 nm) in 200 Torr of a sample reference H2O? O3? O2? He gas mixture in an 11.5‐dm3 temperature‐controlled reaction chamber. Rate constants of k1 = (5.52 ± 1.32) × 10?13 exp[–(1050 ± 70)/T], k2 = (3.37 ± 0.88) × 10?13 exp[–(850 ± 80)/T], k3 = (9.54 ± 4.34) × 10?13 exp[–(1000 ± 140)/T], k4 = (5.47 ± 0.90) × 10?13 exp[–(720 ± 50)/T], and k5 = (5.21 ± 0.88) × 10?13 exp[–(630 ± 50)/T] cm3 molecule?1 s?1 were obtained at 253–328 K. The errors reported are ± 2 standard deviations, and represent precision only. Potential systematic errors associated with uncertainties in the reference rate constants could add an additional 10%–15% uncertainty to the uncertainty of k1k5. The reactivity trends of these OH radical reactions were analyzed by using a collision theory–based kinetic equation. The rate constants k1k5 as well as those of related halogenated cyclobutane analogues were found to be strongly correlated with their C? H bond dissociation enthalpies. We consider the dominant tropospheric loss process for the halogenated cyclobutanes studied here to be by reaction with the OH radicals, and atmospheric lifetimes of 3.2, 2.5, 1.5, 0.9, and 0.7 years are calculated for cyclo‐CF2CF2CHFCH2? , trans‐cyclo‐CF2CF2CHClCHF? , cyclo‐CF2CFClCH2CH2? , trans‐cyclo‐CF2CFClCHClCH2? , and cis‐cyclo‐CF2CFClCHClCH2? , respectively, by scaling from the lifetime of CH3CCl3. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Electrophilic trifluoromethylation reactions have been the latest approach to achieve the fluoroalkylation of compounds with newly‐discovered reagents, such as the Togni’s (1‐trifluoromethyl‐1,2‐benziodoxol‐3‐(1 H)‐one), Umemoto’s (S‐(trifluoromethyl)dibenzothiophenium tetrafluoroborate), Yagupolskii’s (S‐(trifluoromethyldiarylsulfonium salts), Shreeve’s (S‐(trifluoromethyl)dibenzothiophenium triflate), and Shibata’s (trifluoromethylsulfoximine salts) reagents. All these reagents produce an electrophilic trifluoromethylating (CF3+) species that undergoes reaction with nucleophiles. In addition, these latter reactive species (i.e. CF3+) can undergo electron‐transfer (ET) processes affording CF3 ? radicals that expand the scope to substrates other than conventional nucleophiles that can undergo reaction. In this Review, we shall discuss the trifluoromethylation reactions of diverse families of organic substrates of biological interest as a means to comparing the reagents scope and best reaction conditions. Some, though not all, of these reactions require the assistance of metal or organometallic catalysts. Some require additives and catalysts to promote the fluoroalkylation reaction, but invariably all are initiated and carried out by electrophilic trifluoromethylating species.  相似文献
