The theory and applications of generalized H-space

This paper brings forward the concept of generalized H-spaces which extends the concepts of H-spaces and almost probabilistic metric spaces.In this paper,the uniformity and properties far generalized H-space are considered.The conditions of metrization and the form of metric functions for generalized H-spaces,H-spaces and Menger PM-spaces are given and the characteristics of completeness and compactness for generalized H-spaces are presented.The results of this paper generalize and unify some recent results of[1-2,8,10].

This paper is a continuation of the author's previous paper [1], in which the characterizations of various probabilistically bounded sets are presented, and the linear operator theory and fixed point theory on probabilistic metric spaces are given, too.

Probabilistic contractor couple and solutions for a system of nonlinear equations in non-archimedean menger probabilistic normed spaces

The Purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of probabilistic contractor couple in non-Archimedean probabilistic normed spaces and to study the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a system of nonlinear operator equations with probabilistic contractor couples in non-Archimedean probabilistic normed spaces.The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results in[1-5].     

Combination of structural reliability and interval analysis

In engineering applications, probabilistic reliability theory appears to be presently the most important method, however, in many cases precise probabilistic reliability theory cannot be considered as adequate and credible model of the real state of actual affairs. In this paper, we developed a hybrid of probabilistic and non-probabilistic reliability theory, which describes the structural uncertain parameters as interval variables when statistical data are found insufficient. By using the interval analysis, a new method for calculating the interval of the structural reliability as well as the reliability index is introduced in this paper, and the traditional probabilistic theory is incorporated with the interval analysis. Moreover, the new method preserves the useful part of the traditional probabilistic reliability theory, but removes the restriction of its strict requirement on data acquisition. Example is presented to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed theory.     

ON THE PROBABILISTIC INNER PRODUCT SPACES

In this paper a new defintion for probabilistic inner product spaces is given.By virtueof this definition,some convergence theorems,Schwarz inequality and the orthogonalconcept for probabilistic inner product spaces are established and introduced.Moreover,the relationship between this kind of spaces and probabilistic normed spaces is consideredalso.     

THE EMBEDDED THEOREM FOR FAMILY OF QUASI METRIC SPACES IN MENGER SPACE AND ITS APPLICATION

In this paper the notion of embedding for family of quasi metric spaces in Mengerspaces is introduced and its properties are investigated.A common fixed point theorem forsequence of continuous mappings in Menger spaces is proved.These mappings are assumedto satisfy some generalizations of the contraction condition.The proving technique hereinseems to be new even for mappings in Menger spaces.

TOPOLOGICAL DEGREE THEORY AND FIXED POINT THEOREMS IN PROBABILISTIC METRIC SPACES

The Leray-Schauder topological degree theory is established in the probabilistic linearnormed spaces.Based.on this theory,some fixed point theorems for mappings in theprobabilistic linear normed spaces are shown.     

MINIMAL POLYNOMIAL MATRIX AND LINEAR MULTIVARIABLE SYSTEMS(Ⅰ)

part(Ⅰ)of this work is on the theory of minimal polynomial matrix and Part(Ⅱ)onthe applications of this theory to linear multivariable systems.In Part(Ⅰ).concepts of annihilating polynomial matrix and the minimal polynomialmatrix of a given linear transformation in a vector group are given and the concepts of thegenerating system and minimal generating system of an invariant subspace for a givenlinear transformation are given as well.After discussing the basic properties of theseconcepts the relations between them and the characteristic matrix corresponding to aninduced operator of a given linear transformation in any of its invariant subspace arestudied in detail.The characteristics of the minimal polynomial matrix for a given vectorgroup and the necessary and sufficient condition for the two generating systems to have thesame generating subspace is given.Using these results we can give the expression for the setof all B’s which makes the system x=Ax Bu a complete controllable system for a givenA.     

MINIMAL POLYNOMIAL MATRIX AND LINEAR MULTIVARIABLE SYSTEM(Ⅱ)

part(Ⅰ) of this work is on the theory of minimal polynomial matrix and Part(Ⅱ)is onthe applications of this theory to linear multivarible systeme.In I of this part,using the theory to Part(Ⅰ),some results about input part of a linearmultivarble system are discussed in detail and in Ⅱ,using duality properties,the conceptsabout row n.p.m.and row generating system,etc.are given. and some results about outputpart of linear multivariable system are discussed, too.In Ⅲ,we discuss the approach whichcan give the polynomial model with less dimension from the state-space model and in Ⅳ wediscuss tha inverse of the problem to give the state-space model from the polynomial model.Some interesting examples are given to explain the theory and the approach.     

(Φ,△)-TYPE PROBABILISTIC CONTRACTOR AND SOLUTIONS FOR A NONLINEAR OPERATOR EQUATIONS IN MENGER PN-SPACES

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the coneept of (Φ,△)-type probabilistic contractor in Menger PN-spaces and to study the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the nonlinear operator equations with such probabilistic contractor in Menger PN-spaces.The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results in [1] and [4-8].     

SET-VALUED EXTENSION OF OPERATORS VIA STEINER SELECTIONS (Ⅰ)-THEORETICAL RESULTS

A way to extend operators in spaces of continuous functions to spaces of continuous set-valued functions is proposed. This extension is developed through the Steiner selections of the set-valued functions. Their properties and characteristics of the convergence of sequences of operators of this class are studied. In Part Ⅱ of this series some applications to approximation theory will be shown.     

A STATISTICAL INVESTIGATION OF FATIGUE CRACK INITIATION AND GROWTH PROCESS BASED UPON A LARGE SAMPLE SIZE EXPERIMENT

After finishing 102 replicate constant amplitude crack initiation and growth tests onLyl2-CZ aluminum alloy plate,a statistical investigation of the fatigue crack initiation and growthprocess is conducted in this paper.According to the post-mortem fractographic examination by scan-ning electron microscopy (SEM),some qualitative observations of the spacial correlation among fa-tigue striations are developed to reveal the statistical nature of material intrinsic inhomogeneity duringthe crack growth process.From the test data,an engineering division between crack initiation andgrowth is defined as the upper limit of small crack.The distributions of crack initiation life N.,growthlife N,and the statistical characteristics of crack growth rate da/dN are also investigated.It is hopedthat the work will provide a solid test basis for the study of probabilistic fatigue,probabilistic fracturemechanics,fatigue reliability and its engineering applications.     

TRANSVERSE VIBRATION OF A HANGING NONUNIFORM NANOSCALE TUBE BASED ON NONLOCAL ELASTICITY THEORY WITH SURFACE EFFECTS

The aim of this paper is to study the free transverse vibration of a hanging nonuni- form nanoscale tube. The analysis procedure is based on nonlocal elasticity theory with surface effects. The nonlocal elasticity theory states that the stress at a point is a function of strains at all points in the continuum. This theory becomes significant for small-length scale objects such as micro- and nanostructures. The effects of nonlocality, surface energy and axial force on the natural frequencies of the nanotube are investigated. In this study, analytical solutions are formulated for a clamped-free Euler-Bernoulli beam to study the free vibration of nanoscale tubes.     

Hydrodynamic coefficients for vertical plane wave motion problems

In this paper a numerical method for calculating the hydro-dynamic coefficients for vertical plane wave motion problems in deep water is described.This procedure is developed by using the wave source method based on Green‘s theorem.The applications of the method to the cases of semi-circular and rectangular section bodies subjected to linear waves are pre-sented here,and the computed results are compared with the earlier experimental data of Vugts.     

Convergence theorem of common fixed points for Lipschitzian pseudo-contraction semi-groups in Banach spaces

The purpose of this paper is to study the weak convergence problems of the implicity iteration process for Lipschitzian pseudocontractive semi-groups in the general Banach spaces. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of some people.     

EXTENSION OF POINCARE’S NONLINEAR OSCILLATION THEORY TO CONTINUUM MECHANICS (I)-BASIC THEORY AND METHOD

In this paper we extend Poincare’s nonlinear oscillation theory of discrete system to continuum mechanics. First we investigate the existence conditions of periodic solution for linear continuum system in the states of resonance and non-resonance. By applying the results of linear theory, we prove that the main conclusion of Poincare’s nonlinear oscillation theory can be extended to continuum mechanics. Besides, in this paper a new method is suggested to calculate the periodic solution in the states of both resonance and nonresonance by means of the direct perturbation of partial differential equation and weighted integration.     

EKELAND’S VARIATIONAL PRINCIPLE AND CARISTI’S COINCIDENCE THEOREM FOR SET-VALUED MAPPINGS IN PROBABILISTIC METRIC SPACES

By using the partial ordering method,a more general type,of Ekeland’s ariational principle and a set-valued Caristi’s coincidence theorem in probabilistic metric spaces are obtained.In addition,a direct simple proof of the equivalence between these two theorems in probabilistic metric spaces is given.
