一种用于材料高应变率剪切性能测试的新型加载技术   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
高应变率下的冲击剪切实验技术是材料动态力学行为及其微观机理研究的重要基础.采用分离式霍普金森压杆(split Hopkinson pressure bar)装置一般可以获得材料在104s-1以内应变率的动态力学性能.在超过104s-1的应变率下对材料进行冲击剪切测试时,通常需要采用高速压剪飞片技术或由气炮发射子弹对试样进行直接加载.本文提出一种可用于传统霍普金森压杆技术的新型双剪切试样,可以在103~105s-1剪应变率范围实现对材料剪切性能的精确测量;同时,可以对材料的变形及失效过程进行直接观测.试样与压杆之间避免了复杂的界面或连接装置,通过转接头可以保证试样与压杆直接接触,提高测试精度,同时可以防止因试样的横向位移而导致的非均匀变形.获得了紫铜在1400~75000s-1应变率下的剪应力-剪应变曲线,并采用计算软件"ABAQUS/Explicit"对双剪切试样的动态加载过程进行了数值模拟和结果验证.分析表明,剪切区的主要区域内剪切成分占主导地位,其应力应变场沿厚度及宽度方向基本呈均匀分布.实验得到的剪应力-剪应变曲线与模拟结果吻合较好,说明所提出的基于分离式霍普金森压杆系统的双剪切试样可以为材料的高应变率力学性能测试提供一种方便有效的加载技术.   相似文献

在简要评述有关中应变速率下钢纤维混凝土动态力学性能的实验研究现状后,详细介绍了在Instron1342材料实验机的基础上经自行改装设计的钢纤维混凝土动态测试系统,并对实验方案、试件制作与加载及量测过程进行了阐述。利用该系统,成功完成了应变率由1.38×10-4s-1~0.532×10-1s-1三个数量级范围内的钢纤维混凝土受拉全过程试验(四点弯拉),得到了中应变率下钢纤维混凝土的应力、应变全过程曲线。同时,对实验结果进行了综合分析,实验结果表明:中应变率下,应变率不同时钢纤维混凝土的应力应变全曲线具有很好的相似性,而峰值应力、峰值应变与弹性模量(割线模量)随应变率的增加均有不同程度的提高。当应变速率从1.38×10-4s-1增大到0.532×10-1s-1时,SFRC的抗拉强度提高30%左右,峰值应力对应的应变提高10%左右,动态拉伸弹性模量提高20%左右。中应变率(1.38×10-4s-1~0.532×10-1s-1)下,当钢纤维掺量从0%增加到4%时,钢纤维混凝土的抗拉强度提高1.3倍左右。  相似文献

利用MTS810试验机和自行研制的中应变率材料试验机对有机玻璃(PMMA)准静态(应变率为2.00×10-2s-1,2.01×10-3s-1和2.38×10-4s-1)和中应变率(应变率为18.6s-1,2.81s-1,6.54×10-1s-1和2.92×10-1s-1)单向拉伸力学性能进行了实验研究。应变率为2.38×10-4s-1时,应力-应变曲线中存在软化段。结果显示,在上述应变率范围内,PMMA的力学性能具有明显的应变率相关性,表现为应变率强化、应变率硬化和高速脆性。PMMA的拉伸力学性能在应变率达到18.6s-1时出现了更大的应变率敏感性。采用包含一个非线性弹簧和六个松弛模式的粘弹性模型分析PMMA力学性能的应变率相关性,得到PMMA在低、中应变率下单向拉伸的本构方程,理论结果与实验结果符合较好。  相似文献

对低密度泡沫铝在不同变形率下的形变和力学性能进行了系统的试验研究。结果表明:(1)沿剪切方向骨架首先塌陷,即变形的局部化是低应变率下块体泡沫铝的主要变形特征;(2)在不同应变率下泡沫铝表现出体积应变基本上随工程应变呈线性变化,在低应变率下泊松比随轴向应变呈幂次关系增加,但在高应变率下泊松比随塑性应变增加,从一峰值降低并趋于稳定;(3)低应变率下泡沫铝材料塑性变形均匀,而高应变率下剪切变形较大;(4)泡沫铝材料的强度对应变率不很明显,但随塑性应变增加,它的率敏感性增加。  相似文献

通过系列准静态与动态力学实验得到了铝锂合金材料的基本力学参数。证实了该种材料具有独特的应变率软化特性 ,并揭示了材料应变率软化效应的极限性特征 ,提出了极限应变率软化材料的概念 ,从而对突加载荷下粘塑性材料中也会出现双波结构的现象给出了合理的解释。为便于实际应用 ,还对实验得到的材料应力 应变曲线进行了拟合 ,提出了一种便于实际应用的材料本构关系的具体形式 ,即双幂次应变硬化 极限幂次应变率软化本构关系。  相似文献

在SHPB装置上对渗流法制备的通孔泡沫铝进行了动态压缩实验,研究了相对密度为0.341~0.419的通孔泡沫铝在10-3~2000 s-1应变率范围内的压缩响应特征和应变率相关性,并用扫描电镜(scanning electron microscope,SEM)分析了泡沫铝的压缩变形特征。实验结果表明,通孔泡沫铝有明显应变率效应,随应变率上升,泡沫铝流动应力提高。SEM观察结果揭示,在动态压缩下,通孔泡沫铝宏观上均匀变形,微观变形机制以泡孔横向伸展坍塌为主。  相似文献

为研究寒区流冰对水工/船舶结构的影响,需要获得不同流速冰载荷的特征,准静态下不同应变率条件下冰材料变形至破坏的特征就成为一项重要的基础性问题。为此,开展了低温环境应变率10-2s-1至10-4s-1下淡水冰的单轴压缩试验。试验发现:随着应变率减小,极限应力由18.51MPa降低至8.44MPa,达到极限应力后,试件承载能力由瞬间消失变为逐渐降低至稳态,试件破坏形貌由劈裂转变为周向膨胀,即由脆性转变为韧性破坏,转变应变率约为10-3s-1;在双对数坐标系中,单轴压缩强度随应变率的增加近似呈线性增大。通过对应力-应变曲线进行积分,给出了不同破坏形式下冰变形至破坏的临界应变能密度,发现脆/韧转变状态下加载至破坏所需能量最大,该能量特征主要由冰中微裂纹的萌生、断面摩擦、再结晶引起。  相似文献

通过热处理方式制备了3种不同晶粒度的纯铝样品。利用分离式霍普金森压杆加载装置测量了3种纯铝在应变率102~104 s-1范围内的应力应变曲线。实验曲线表明,纯铝的屈服应力和流动应力随晶粒度的增大而减小;根据实验数据拟合了纯铝在动态下的Hall-Petch公式。同时采用一级轻气炮对3种纯铝进行了层裂实验,结果表明晶粒度对纯铝的层裂特性几乎没有影响。  相似文献

采用基于霍普金森压杆的新型加载技术对Ti-6Al-4V材料的动态剪切特性及失效机理进行了测试研究。获得了Ti-6Al-4V材料在超过104 s-1应变率下的剪应力-剪应变曲线及失效参数。研究发现,材料的流动应力存在明显的应变率强化效应;随着应变率的增加,材料的失效应力逐渐增大,而失效应变逐渐减小。采用ABAQUS/Explicit对加载过程进行了数值模拟。结果显示,剪切区材料基本处于平面剪切状态,应力应变场分布较为均匀,计算得到的剪应力-剪应变曲线与实验结果吻合较好。经断口分析可知,随着应变率的升高,Ti-6Al-4V的失效机理存在由韧窝、拉伸韧窝至台阶及河流花样的演化过程,材料的失效模式主要表现为韧性断裂。  相似文献

为研究航空铝合金AA7075-T6板材在复杂加载状态下的韧性断裂力学性能,设计4种包含不同应力状态的拉伸试验和液压胀形试验来获取材料的硬化特性和断裂参数。通过不同应变率和不同轧制方向的拉伸试验得到相应的应力-应变曲线,分别采用不同硬化模型和DF2016韧性断裂准则对其硬化行为和断裂特性进行表征。结果表明AA7075-T6狗棒试件在应变率为1 s-1和10 s-1时重复性较好,应变率为100 s-1时应力-应变曲线出现明显的抖动,但随着应变率的增加没有出现明显的应变率强化效应。而且对比7个轧制方向的应力-应变结果发现,不同角度的拉伸强度和断裂应变基本相同。因此在研究范围内AA7075-T6表现为一种各向同性且关于应变率不敏感的材料。采用Swift-Voce硬化模型的预测效果最好,DF2016韧性断裂准则可以准确预测AA7075-T6在剪切、单轴拉伸、平面应变拉伸和等轴拉伸等不同应力状态的断裂位置。  相似文献

为了能在传统的分离式Hopkinson压杆上准确可靠地测试激光金属沉积GH4169的动态剪切特性,基于数值模拟方法对比分析了三种不同动态剪切试样形式及尺寸对剪切区应力分布的影响,结果表明:经过尺寸优化后的双剪切试样的剪切区剪应力占主导地位,可实现近似纯剪切的动态剪切实验。利用此试样形式,系统测试了不同取向(扫描方向、沉积方向)的LMD GH4169试样在不同应变率下的剪切应力应变曲线,并对破坏后试样进行了SEM分析观察。结果表明:(1) 本文中选用的试样形式剪切纯度高,应力沿剪切区宽度厚度分布均匀,可以更好地得到材料的动态剪切特性;(2) 对实验所得剪应力-剪应变曲线进行分析,发现本材料在扫描路径方向和沉积方向并没有表现出明显的各向异性,但随着应变率的增加,具有明显的应变率强化效应;将单轴压缩和动态剪切应力应变曲线同时转换为等效应力应变曲线,对比证实了试样形式能很好反应材料的剪切特性;(3) 通过对LMD GH4169剪切变形破坏试样的微观分析发现,随着应变率升高,断口韧窝尺寸和深度减小,韧性降低,在更小的变形量下容易剪切失效。初始微观缺陷容易导致材料的动态剪切破坏。  相似文献

Viscosity, modulus, and yield stress for 0–6 wt% aqueous solutions of Carbopol 941 were investigated using constant shear rate, constant shear stress, and dynamic oscillatory experiments. The microgel character of the polymer was evident from the solid-like behavior of the solutions above 1 wt%. Yield stress increased with concentration, but yield occurred at a critical shear strain of 40%, independent of concentration. The static stress-strain relationship became non-linear at ~ 25% strain, in fair agreement with the onset of non-linear response in the storage modulus at ~ 10% strain. Small strain moduli from static and low frequency measurements agreed rather well; modulus values obtained from the recoverable strain after yielding were 30–40% smaller. Solutions flowed at near-constant stress in the low shear rate regime; at higher rates the stress increases with shear rate more rapidly. The viscosity did not obey the Cox-Merz rule. Steady-state viscosity scaled with polymer concentration to the 3/4 power. Results were interpreted using a cellular, deformable sphere model for the polymer, in analogy to emulsions and foams.  相似文献

Nonlinear viscoelasticity of PP/PS/SEBS blends   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The nonlinear viscoelastic behavior of polypropylene/polystyrene (PP/PS) blends compatibilized or not with the linear triblock copolymer (styrene-ethylene-/butylene-styrene, SEBS) was investigated. Start-up of steady-shear at rates from 0.1 to 10 s–1 was carried out using a controlled strain rotational rheometer and a sliding plate rheometer for strain histories involving one or several shear rates. The shear stress and first normal shear stress difference were measured as functions of time, and the morphologies of the samples before and after shearing were determined. For each strain history except that involving a single shear rate of 0.1 s–1 the blends showed typical non-linear viscoelastic behavior: a shear stress overshoot/undershoot, depending on the history, followed by a steady state for each step. The first normal stress difference increased monotonically to a steady-state value. The values of the stresses increased with the addition of SEBS. The shear stress overshoot and undershoot and the times at which they occurred depended strongly on the strain history, decreasing for a subsequent shear rate step performed in the same direction as the former, and the time at which stress undershoot occurred increased for a subsequent shear rate step performed in the opposite direction, irrespective of the magnitude of the shear rate. This behavior was observed for all the blends studied. The time of overshoot in a single-step shear rate experiment is inversely proportional to the shear rate, and the steady-state value of N1 scaled linearly with shear rate, whereas the steady-state shear stress did not. The average diameter of the dispersed phase decreased for all strain histories when the blend was not compatibilized. When the blend was compatibilized, the average diameter of the dispersed phase changed only during the stronger flows. Experimental data were compared with the predictions of a model formulated using ideas of Doi and Ohta (1991), Lacroix et al. (1998) and Bousmina et al. (2001). The model correctly predicted the behavior of the uncompatibilized blends for single-step shear rates but not that of the compatibilized blends, nor did it predict morphologies after shearing.  相似文献

At high shear rates a steady state of shear flow with constant shear rate, constant shear stress, and constant recoverable shear strain is observed in the short-time sandwich rheometer after some few shear units already. The melt exhibits rather high elastic shear deformations and the recovery occurs at much higher speed than it is observed in the newtonian range. The ratio of first normal stress difference and twice the shear stress, being equal to the recoverable strain in the second-order fluid limit, significantly underestimates the true elastic shear strains at high shear rates. The observed shear rate dependence of shear stress and first normal stress difference as well as of the (constrained) elastic shear strain is correctly described on the basis of a discrete relaxation time spectrum. In simple shear a stick-slip transition at the metal walls is found. Necessary for the onset of slip is a critical value of shear stress and a certain amount of elastic shear deformation or orientation of the melt.  相似文献

A model of shear banding is presented which shows how a wide shear band develops from a narrow imperfection in an elasto-viscoplastic material subjected to dynamic shear strain. The model predicts that the width of the shear band is (i) independent of the properties of the initial imperfection and (ii) dependent upon thermal conductivity and strain rate. The dependence upon strain rate is verified qualitatively and quantitatively from experimental results. Finally, the model predicts narrowing of the region of rapid straining with ongoing deformation as is observed in experiment.  相似文献

The yield behavior of Daqing crude oil was studied by means of multi-mode controlled-stress tests with a high-precision stress controlled rheometer. Two experiments of creep and constant stress loading rate were performed. The yield stress of gelled crude oil was dependent on the test conditions such as the stress loading time and the stress loading rate, but the yield strain did not change with test conditions. The yield strain did exist objectively and it can be used as the criterion for the yielding of the structure of gelled crude oil. The yield strain of gelled oil was studied through experiments of creep, constant stress loading rate, oscillatory shear stress increase, and constant shear rate. The yield strain of gelled crude oil decreased with the increasing gel strength. The experiment of constant speed increase of stress showed the strain softening phenomena for low gel strength oil.  相似文献

利用电磁膨胀环实验技术,研究了7075铝环在2700~8700 s?1拉伸加载应变率下的断裂模式转变现象。实验结果表明:在低应变率下,铝环的断裂受最大正应力控制,发生拉伸断裂;在高应变率下,铝环的断裂受最大剪应力控制,发生剪切断裂;在中应变率下,铝环的断裂同时受最大正应力和最大剪应力控制,为拉伸和剪切同时存在的拉剪混合断裂模式;随着应变率的增加,铝环的破片数量呈先增加、再减小、最后增加的趋势,破片数量变化拐点与断裂模式转变点基本吻合。  相似文献

Distributions of shear strains and strain states (triaxiality) were analysed for two in-plane shear test fixtures (Iosipescu and V-notched rail), using digital image correlation and numerical simulations. Three different polypropylene-based materials (two talc-filled compounds and one unfilled homopolymer) were tested. The three materials behaved differently in the shear tests. Most notably, cracks developed in tension near the notches for the particle-filled materials, while the unfilled homopolymer did not fracture. There were also differences between the materials regarding strain localisation between the notches, strain rates vs. strain level (for a given cross-head speed), thickness change in the sheared section, and triaxiality. The yield stresses in shear, uniaxial tension and uniaxial compression showed pressure sensitivity. At least for equivalent strain rates below 1?s?1, the strain rate sensitivity of the yield stress was approximately the same in these three stress states. The stress?Cstrain curves obtained with the two methods were quite similar for these materials. There were some differences between the methods regarding the ease of mounting and aligning specimens, the complexity of specimen deformation patterns, and the uniformity of the shear strain distribution between the notches.  相似文献
