轴向应力波作用下圆柱壳塑性轴对称动力屈曲   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
运用有限元特征值分析方法对应力波作用下圆柱壳塑性轴对称动力失稳问题进行了研究。基于应力波理论和相邻平衡准则导出了圆柱壳轴对称动力失稳时的特征方程,在分析中同时考虑了应力波效应及横向惯性效应,把圆柱壳塑性动力失稳问题归结为特征值问题。通过引入圆柱壳动力失稳时的波前约束条件实现了此类问题的有限元特征值解法。计算结果揭示了圆柱壳塑性轴对称动力屈曲变形发展的机理,以及轴向应力波和屈曲变形的相互作用规律。  相似文献

Corrugated shells of revolution that may be considered cylindrical when the corrugation amplitude is small are analyzed for stability. The corrugations are transverse to the axis of revolution. Isotropic and orthotropic shells with sine-shaped meridian under uniform external compression are analyzed for stability. It is shown that the stability of corrugated shells can be significantly improved, compared with cylindrical shells, by selecting appropriate number and amplitude of half-waves. A relationship between the buckling modes and the change in the critical loads is established  相似文献

The results of an experimental and analytical study of the effects of initial imperfections on the buckling and postbuckling response of three unstiffened thin-walled compression-loaded graphite-epoxy cylindrical shells with different orthotropic and quasi-isotropic shell-wall laminates are presented. The results identify the effects of traditional and non-traditional initial imperfections on the non-linear response and buckling loads of the shells. The traditional imperfections include the geometric shell-wall mid-surface imperfections that are commonly discussed in the literature on thin shell buckling. The non-traditional imperfections include shell-wall thickness variations, local shell-wall ply-gaps associated with the fabrication process, shell-end geometric imperfections, non-uniform applied end loads, and variations in the boundary conditions including the effects of elastic boundary conditions. A high-fidelity non-linear shell analysis procedure that accurately accounts for the effects of these traditional and non-traditional imperfections on the non-linear responses and buckling loads of the shells is described. The analysis procedure includes a non-linear static analysis that predicts stable response characteristics of the shells and a non-linear transient analysis that predicts unstable response characteristics.  相似文献

柱壳结构广泛应用于各个领域, 但由于其对初始缺陷较为敏感, 容易发生灾难性的屈曲失稳. 本文利用非线性有限元分析程序ABAQUS研究了柱壳屈曲问题, 并应用到了易拉罐的屈曲分析. 首先采用数值模拟的方法验证了Virot等学者的易拉罐屈曲试验结果, 然后为了获得屈曲的一些普适结果, 进一步考察了柱壳的屈曲表现. 对柱壳结构在不同载荷组合、不同几何参数作用下进行了细致分析. 为了讨论的直观, 本文绘制了柱壳结构在受到侧压-轴压载荷作用下外力-屈曲载荷-位移三维屈曲地貌图(称为landscape). 结果表明: 在侧压-轴压-扭转载荷作用下, 试件力-位移曲线出现了"cliff"(断崖)现象; 扭转载荷的施加不利于试件整体稳定性, 并造成了试件对初始缺陷的敏感性; 对于受到轴压-扭转载荷作用的试件, 本文定义承载力为零的平面为"sea level"(海平面)来区分试件破坏模式; 通过对不同边界条件的试件进行分析, 发现试件两端固定可以有效地增加结构的承载能力, 提高稳定性. 对柱壳结构内部充气可以大幅度提升结构的承载能力和稳定性, 减小对初始缺陷的敏感度.   相似文献

提出一种分析脱层圆柱壳稳定性问题的混合变量条形传递函数方法。首先基于一阶剪切理论,通过定义广义位移变量和对应的广义力变量,建立壳的改进的混合变量能量泛函;然后引入条形单元,对混合变量在环向进行离散,从而导出超级壳单元的混合变量能量泛函,由变分原理得到控制方程,采用传递函数方法得到其形式解;最后,将含环向贯穿脱层的复合材料层合壳作为超级壳单元的组合体,得到脱层壳的屈曲方程。给出了脱层大小和深度以及脱层壳边界条件对屈曲载荷的影响。  相似文献

本文导出了具有正交异性复合铺层和偏心加筋的圆柱壳体在轴压、横向压力或它们的任意组合作用下的屈曲问题的近似解,文中提出的方法使壳中不同铺层及偏心加筋引起的弯曲与拉伸间的耦合研究成为可能。以前的研究方法表明由于忽略了弯一拉耦合效应,所予测的屈曲结果是不完全正确的。  相似文献

In this paper, the free vibration and buckling of laminated homogeneous and non-homogeneous orthotropic truncated conical shells under lateral and hydrostatic pressures are studied. At first, the basic relations, the modified Donnell type dynamic stability and compatibility equations have been obtained for laminated orthotropic truncated conical shells, the Young's moduli and density of which vary piecewise continuously in the thickness direction. Applying superposition and Galerkin methods to the foregoing equations, the buckling pressures and dimensionless frequency parameter of laminated homogeneous and non-homogeneous orthotropic conical shells are obtained. The appropriate formulas for single-layer and laminated cylindrical shells made of homogeneous and non-homogeneous, orthotropic and isotropic materials are found as a special case. Finally, the effects of the number and ordering of layers, the variations of conical shell characteristics, together and separately variations of the Young's moduli and densities of the materials of layers on the critical lateral and hydrostatic pressures, and frequency parameter are found for different mode numbers. A linear analysis of the vibratory behaviour of initially tensioned orthotropic circular cylindrical shells conveying a compressible inviscid fluid is presented. The model is based on the three-dimensional nonlinear theory of elasticity and the Eulerian equations. A nonlinear strain–displacement relationship is employed to derive the geometric stiffness matrix due to initial stresses and hydrostatic pressures. Frequency-dependent fluid mass, damping and stiffness matrices associated with inertia, Coriolis and centrifugal forces, respectively, are derived through the fluid–structure coupling condition. The resulting equation governing the vibration of fluid-conveying shells is solved by the finite element method. The free vibration of initially tensioned orthotropic cylindrical shells conveying fluid is investigated; numerical examples are given and discussed.  相似文献

Based on flügge's thin orthotropic shell equations and a linear potential flow theory, buckling instability and flutter-type instability of orthotropic circular cylindrical shells conveying fluid are studied. By means of the expansion in beam-mode functions and Galerkin's method they can be reduced to solving a generalized complex eigenvalue problem. In calculating the generalized forces defined as Eq. (23), a direct numerical integration technique, which has proven to be more efficient than others, is used. For clamped-clamped orthotropic shells several numerical examples show that the effects of axial elastic modulus on the dynamic behaviors are quite different from those of circumferential elastic modulus.  相似文献

The extensive use of circular cylindrical shells in modern industrial applications has made their analysis an important research area in applied mechanics. In spite of a large number of papers on cylindrical shells, just a small number of these works is related to the analysis of orthotropic shells. However several modern and natural materials display orthotropic properties and also densely stiffened cylindrical shells can be treated as equivalent uniform orthotropic shells. In this work, the influence of both material properties and geometry on the non-linear vibrations and dynamic instability of an empty simply supported orthotropic circular cylindrical shell subjected to lateral time-dependent load is studied. Donnell׳s non-linear shallow shell theory is used to model the shell and a modal solution with six degrees of freedom is used to describe the lateral displacements of the shell. The Galerkin method is applied to derive the set of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations of motion which are, in turn, solved by the Runge–Kutta method. The obtained results show that the material properties and geometric relations have a significant influence on the instability loads and resonance curves of the orthotropic shell.  相似文献

In this paper a finite element formulation of a reduction method for dynamic buckling analysis of imperfection-sensitive shell structures is presented. The reduction method makes use of a perturbation approach, initially developed for static buckling and later extended to dynamic buckling analysis. The implementation of a single-mode dynamic buckling analysis in a general purpose finite element code is described. The effectiveness of the approach is illustrated by application to the dynamic buckling of composite cylindrical shells under axial and radial step loads. Results of the reduction method are compared with results available in the literature. The results are also compared with full model finite element explicit dynamic analysis, and a reasonable agreement is obtained.  相似文献

In contrast to [1–3], the present paper obtains a system of stability equations and the corresponding resolving equation for orthotropic cylindrical shells of any but very short length in the case where the precritical stress state cannot be treated as the zero-moment state. These equations are a generalization of the results obtained in [4]. On the basis of these equations, one can obtain both the well-known formulas [1–3] and, for medium-length shells, some new expressions of the critical load in longitudinal compression and that under the joint action of torsionalmoments, normal pressure, and longitudinal compression. Some estimates are performed and the determination of the domain of application of some formulas given in [2] and in the present paper is attempted. For an orthotropic shell, a relationship between the elastic parameters and the shear modulus is established for axisymmetric and nonaxisymmetric buckling mode shapes in longitudinal compression.  相似文献

The axially symmetric and non-axisymmetric buckling modes of isotropic and orthotropic shells are studied. A technique for stability analysis of cylindrical shells with a corrugated midsurface is proposed. The wave crests are directed along the generatrix. The relations of shell theory include terms of higher order of smallness than those in the Mushtari–Donnell–Vlasov theory. The problem is solved using a variational equation. The Lamé parameter and curvature radius are variable and approximated by a discrete Fourier transform. The critical load and buckling mode are determined in solving an infinite system of equations for the coefficients of expansion of the resolving functions into trigonometric series. The solution accuracy increases owing to the presence of an aggregate of independent subsystems. Singularities in the buckling modes of corrugated shells corresponding to the minimum critical loads are determined. The basic, practically important conclusion is that both isotropic and orthotropic shells with sinusoidal corrugation are efficient only when their length, which depends on the waveformation parameters and the geometric and mechanical characteristics, is small  相似文献

An analytical model describing the instability of specially orthotropic composite tubes with geometric imperfections subject to biaxial compressive loads and under clamped-clamped boundary conditions is developed. Furthermore, the range of validity of the present solution is clarified, and comparisons are made to some studies on isotropic cylindrical shells. Six E-glass woven fabric-epoxy composite tubes with the same internal radius and different thicknesses and longitudinal lengths were fabricated and subjected to various combinations of external hydrostatic pressure and axial compressive load simultaneously. The normalized buckling stresses were found to agree in general with the theoretical predictions at various biaxial loadings. The buckling envelopes in normalization form provide useful design data on the strength of specially orthotropic composite tubes under a realistic range of biaxial loading conditions.  相似文献
