This paper presents an analytical approach to investigate the non-linear axisymmetric response of functionally graded shallow spherical shells subjected to uniform external pressure incorporating the effects of temperature. Material properties are assumed to be temperature-independent, and graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of constituents. Equilibrium and compatibility equations for shallow spherical shells are derived by using the classical shell theory and specialized for axisymmetric deformation with both geometrical non-linearity and initial geometrical imperfection are taken into consideration. One-term deflection mode is assumed and explicit expressions of buckling loads and load-deflection curves are determined due to Galerkin method. Stability analysis for a clamped spherical shell shows the effects of material and geometric parameters, edge restraint and temperature conditions, and imperfection on the behavior of the shells.  相似文献

本文利用渐近迭代法获得了边界弹性支撑的功能梯度扁球壳的非线性屈曲问题的理论解.假设材料组分体积分数沿壳体厚度方向呈sigmoid幂函数变化,边界上考虑一般的弹性支撑约束.基于经典的薄壳理论和几何非线性关系,导出了S型功能梯度扁球壳的非线性屈曲问题的控制方程.采用渐近迭代法通过两次迭代得到了无量纲挠度和均布荷载之间的非线性特征关系.通过与已有有限元方法和其他数值方法的结果对比,验证了本文解的有效性和高精度.同时,通过计算阐述了缺陷因子、材料参数、边界约束系数及特征几何参数对壳体临界屈曲荷载的影响.  相似文献

Based on the nonlinear theory of shallow spherical thick shells and the damage mechanics, a set of nonlinear equations of motion for the laminated shallow spherical thick shells with damage subjected to a normal concentrated load on the top are established. According to Hertz law, the contact force acted upon the shells is determined due to the impact of a mass, and it is related to the mass and initial velocity of the striking object, the geometrical and physical character of the shell. By using the finite difference method and the time increment procedure, the nonlinear equations are resolved. In the numerical examples, the effects of the damage, the initial velocity, and mass of the striking object, the shells’ geometrical parameters on the dynamic responses and dynamic buckling of the laminated shallow spherical thick shells are discussed. This paper deals with the effects of initial geometric uni-directional imperfections on vibrations of a pressurized spherical shell or spherical cap. The analysis is based upon shallow shell theory. Frequency vs applied pressure interaction curves are plotted for various values of the imperfection amplitude. Imperfections are shown to have a severe effect in reducing the natural frequencies similar to that demonstrated in the buckling behavior of spherical shells.  相似文献

Applying the Galerkin procedure to Marguerre's shallow shell equations, reasonably accurate solutions are obtained for the buckling and postbuckling behavior of clamped shallow spherical shells subjected to external pressure distributed over half the surface.For the geometrical parameter λ smaller than 4.5, the half-loaded shells do not buckle. The buckling loads for 6 ≦ λ ≦ 15 lie about 17–30% below those of uniformly loaded shells. However, the lowest loads after buckling are higher than those for uniformly loading. As λ keeps increasing, the buckling mode shows more and more waves along the circumferential direction. The amplitude of the asymmetrical deflection component Δ1 becomes remarkably large immediately after buckling. After passing the postbuckling lowest equilibrium point, the sinusoidal deflection disappears and the deflection is changed such that only one location on the shell surface, including the non-loaded area, has been deflected almost symmetrically. The effects of initial imperfections are not so great as for the uniformly loaded case.  相似文献

研究了几何缺陷、荷载非均匀分布和支座沉陷对圆弧拱面内屈曲的影响.基于能量的变分原理推导了考虑缺陷的微分方程,得到了外荷载和轴力的关系式以及径向位移的表达式.从微分方程出发用摄动法对屈曲荷载的缺陷敏感性进行了分析,得到了屈曲荷载的近似表达式.结果表明近似解与精确解吻合良好;正对称屈曲荷载对正对称缺陷参数十分敏感;反对称缺陷参数对反对称屈曲荷载影响显著而正对称缺陷参数影响很小.  相似文献

夹层圆柱壳具有很高的结构效能。在许多工程结构中被广泛采用。本文研究分析了含有轴对称初始缺陷的夹层圆柱壳在轴压下的非线性屈曲问题。该夹层壳具有正交各向异性表层和各向同性可承剪的夹心.利用Stein的前屈曲一致理论得出了前屈曲挠度随轴向载荷及缺陷参数的变化情况,运用Galerkin法导出了屈曲控制方程,并进行了数值计算,得到了屈曲载荷、缺陷幅值、缺陷波数、夹心模量等参量之间的关系.结果表明与壳体实际屈曲模态相同的初始缺陷具有很大的危害性,可以通过增加壳体表层的轴向弹性模量或优化夹心的有关参数等途径来提高屈曲载荷,改善壳体屈曲性能。  相似文献

研究计及横向剪切的复合材料层合扁球壳在爆炸冲击载荷作用下的非线性轴对称动力屈曲问题。通过在复合材料层合扁球壳非线性稳定性的基本方程中增加横向转动惯量项并引入R.H.Cole理论的爆炸冲击力,得到爆炸冲击下复合材料层合扁球壳的动力控制方程,应用Galerkin方法得到用顶点挠度表达的爆炸冲击动力响应方程,并采用Runge-Kutta方法进行数值求解,采用Budiansky-Roth准则确定冲击屈曲的临界载荷,讨论了壳体几何尺寸对复合材料层合扁球壳冲击屈曲的影响;数值算例表明,此方法是可行的。  相似文献

Based on the boundary layer theory for the buckling of thin elastic shells suggested in ref. [14]. the buckling and postbuckling behavior of clamped circular cylindrical shells under lateral or hydrostatic pressure is studied applying singular perturbation method by taking deflection as perturbation parameter. The effects of initial geometric imperfection are also considered. Some numerical results for perfect and imperfect cylindrical shells are given. The analytical results obtained are compared with some experimental data in detail, which shows that both are rather coincident.  相似文献

Axisymmetrical snap buckling of a clamped shallow spherical shell with initial deformation and subject to uniform pressure is analysed based on the finite-deformation theory. As a refinement to analyses given in the author's previous papers, a variable term in the deformation pattern is introduced and Galerkin's method is applied to the non-linear simultaneous differential equations, so that upper buckling pressures are obtained as a function of the geometrical parameter α. Non-uniqueness of solution is shown in the region of larger values of α, where the higher order of deformation mode takes place. Stability of a number of possible equilibrium states is checked by use of the second variation of total potential energy to clarify the actual buckling process. The remark- able decrease of buckling pressure is reasonably explained by introducing a small initial deflection, which explains the discrepancy between the classical buckling pressure and experimental results.  相似文献

This article considers the thermoelastic stability of bimetallic shallow shells of revolution. Basic equations are derived from Reissner’s non-linear theory of shells by assuming that deformations and rotations are small and that materials are linear elastic. The equations are further specialized for the case of a closed spherical cup. For this case the perturbated initial state is considered and it is shown that only in the cases when the cup edge is free or simply supported buckling under heating is possible. Further the perturbated flat state is considered and the critical temperature for buckling is calculated for the case of free and simply supported edges. The temperature–deflection diagrams are calculated by the use of the collocation method for shallow spherical, conical and cubic shells.  相似文献

In the first part of this paper, rib-stiffened thin-walled spherical shells under external hydrostatic pressure are optimized using classical approximate methods and empirical knock-down-factors. In the second part of the paper, the influence of known imperfections is investigated.The thin-walled spherical shells under external pressure are very sensitive to geometrical imperfections. Hoff recognized that for entire isotropic spherical shells the more likely imperfection will be a local circular dent, which for such shells, can always be considered as an axisymmetric one. Hoff's idea has been further investigated by Koga–Hoff, Galletly et al. These results showed that for a given depth of an imperfection a critical size of the corresponding circular dent exists, giving the minimum for the actual load carrying capacity of the shell.This paper suggests to extend Hoff's theory to isogrid and waffle-grid stiffened spherical shells. The issue of these investigations is a set of knock-down-factors plotted versus imperfection amplitude related to the total thickness of the rib-stiffened (isogrid or waffle-grid) shell. These curves fit reasonably with those established for isotropic shells by Hoff et al. or by Koiter, and enable to estimate the jeopardy of measured actual dents.  相似文献

Assuming the deformation of the shell has an axial symmetrical form, we transform Marguerre's equations into difference equations, and use these equations to discuss the buckling of an elastic thin shallow spherical shell subjected to impact loads. The result shows when impact load acts on the shells, a jump of the shell takes place dependent on the values λ and the critical buckling load increases with the enlargement of the loading area.  相似文献

The free-parameter perturbation method is applied to solve the problems of nonlinear stability of spherical shallow shells under uniform load. As a modified perturbation method, the free-parameter perturbation method enables researchers to obtain all characteristic relations without choosing the certain perturbation parameter. Some examples were discussed to study the variety regulations of deflections and stress of shells in the process of buckling, and the results were compared with those of other researchers.  相似文献

Based on unequidistant B-spline function, generalized spline subdomain displacement mode of rotational shell is obtained by taking double-direction interpolation of spline. The elastoplastic constitutive equation of shells is established by using the endochronic theory.According to the initial deflection theory of shells, the elastoplastic stress analysis of cylindrical shells with flat strip geometrical imperfection is studied. Numerical results show that the geometrical imperfection has a great effect on the stress distribution of shells.  相似文献
