压剪复合冲击下氧化铝陶瓷的剪切响应实验研究   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
通过对92.93%氧化铝陶瓷进行倾斜板碰撞实验,研究了多晶陶瓷材料在压剪复合冲击下的非弹性变形响应和剪切波传播规律。压剪复合冲击实验由57 mm开槽气体炮驱动铜飞片对陶瓷靶板加载,通过试件内埋植的电磁速度计来测量内部质点速度历程。将纵向粒子速度从感应电动势曲线中分离后得到横向粒子速度历程,发现在压剪复合冲击下由于材料剪切刚度的降低而引起的剪切波衰减。冲击软回收试件的扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察表明,冲击载荷低于屈服强度时,多晶氧化铝陶瓷中存在沿晶界、气孔的微裂纹成核与扩展,在高于屈服强度的冲击加载下进一步产生了穿晶微裂纹,微裂纹系统导致了材料在卸载后的显著的体积膨胀。  相似文献

Frictional sliding along an interface between two identical isotropic elastic plates under impact shear loading is investigated experimentally and numerically. The plates are held together by a compressive stress and one plate is subject to edge impact near the interface. The experiments exhibit both a crack-like and a pulse-like mode of sliding. Plane stress finite element calculations modeling the experimental configuration are carried out, with the interface characterized by a rate and state dependent frictional law. A variety of sliding modes are obtained in the calculations depending on the impact velocity, the initial compressive stress and the values of interface variables. For low values of the initial compressive stress and impact velocity, sliding occurs in a crack-like mode. For higher values of the initial compressive stress and/or impact velocity, sliding takes place in a pulse-like mode. One pulse-like mode involves well-separated pulses with the pulse amplitude increasing with propagation distance. Another pulse-like mode involves a pulse train of essentially constant amplitude. The propagation speed of the leading pulse (or of the tip of the crack-like sliding region) is near the longitudinal wave speed and never less than times the shear wave speed. Supersonic trailing pulses are seen both experimentally and computationally. The trends in the calculations are compared with those seen in the experiments.  相似文献

对K9玻璃进行了冲击速度为150~400 m/s,倾斜角为10、15的纵剖试样斜撞击实验。结果表明,在加载剪切横波(S+)和卸载纵波(P-)之间有波速超过了纵波波速的波阵面存在,此波的存在对卸载纵波和卸载横波的幅值有一定的影响。由于失效波的产生与材料的表面性质密切相关,为消除纵剖试样中间界面的影响,模拟VISAR的实验条件,进行了冲击速度为70~300 m/s、倾斜角为10的横剖试样斜撞击实验。可以确定在此冲击范围失效波的波速在0.98~1.4 km/s,产生失效波的临界状态为:压应力0.86~1.01 GPa,对应剪应力0.053~0.071 GPa。表明剪应力的存在极大降低了失效波产生的阈值。在此基础上初步分析了撞击面的动摩擦因数和相对滑移速度。  相似文献

A laser interferometry-based technique was developed to locally measure the in-plane components of particle velocity in dynamic experiments. This technique was applied in the experimental investigation of dynamic sliding along the incoherent (frictional) interface of a Homalite–steel bimaterial structure. The bimaterial specimen was subjected to uniform compressive stress and impact-induced shear loading. The evolution of the dynamic stress field was recorded by high-speed photography in conjunction with dynamic photoelasticity. The combination of the full-field technique of photoelasticity with the local technique of velocimetry was proven to be a very powerful tool in the investigation of dynamic sliding. A relatively broad loading wave with an eye-like structure emanated from the interface. The particle velocity measurements established that sliding started behind the eye-like fringe pattern. It propagated with supershear speed with respect to Homalite. A shear Mach line originating from the sliding tip is visible in the photoelastic images. A vertical particle velocity measurement revealed the existence of a wrinkle-like pulse traveling along the bimaterial interface. The wrinkle-like pulse followed the initial shear rupture tip and propagated at a specific subshear speed.  相似文献

冲击加载下,相界面的传播是一热力耦合过程。相变波阵面不仅是力学和物质间断面,也是温度界面。为考虑温度对相变波传播的影响,本文首先建立了相界面上的热传导方程和热力耦合的相变本构方程,然后采用一维特征线理论和有限差分数值计算相结合的方法,分析了温度界面和相变波的基本相互作用规律,进而给出了连续温度梯度下和绝热冲击下相变波传播规律。结果表明,温度对相变波传播的作用主要体现在两个方面,一方面是作为温度界面将与各类间断面相互作用,另一方面冲击相变波阵面后区域热力学状态变化影响卸载波结构。其原因在于相变方式(可逆、不可逆)和相变阈值应力具有强烈的温度相关性。  相似文献

Advances in computing as well as measurement instrumentation have recently allowed for the investigation of a wider spectrum of physical phenomena in dynamic failure than previously possible. With increasing demand for specialized lightweight, high strength structures, failure of inhomogeneous solids has been receiving increased attention. Such inhomogeneous solids include structural composites such as bonded and sandwich structures, layered and composite materials as well as functionally graded solids. Many of such solids are composed of brittle constituents possessing substantial mismatch in wave speeds, and are bonded together with weak interfaces, which may serve as sites for catastrophic failure (Rosakis and Ravichandran (2000)).In the present study numerical analysis of macrocrack propagation along a bimaterial interface under dynamic loading processes is presented. A general constitutive model of elasto-viscoplastic damaged polycrystalline solids is developed within the thermodynamic framework of the rate type covariance structure with finite set of the internal state variables. A set of the internal state variables is assumed and interpreted such that the theory developed takes account of the effects as follows: (i) plastic non-normality; (ii) softening generated by microdamage mechanisms; (iii) thermomechanical coupling (thermal plastic softening and thermal expansion); (iv) rate sensitivity.To describe suitably the time and temperature dependent effects observed experimentally during dynamic loading processes the kinetics of microdamage has been modified. The relaxation time is used as a regularization parameter. By assuming that the relaxation time tends to zero, the rate independent elastic–plastic response can be obtained. The identification procedure is developed basing on the experimental observations. The finite difference method for regularized elasto-viscoplastic model is used. The edge-cracked bimaterial specimen is considered. In the initial configuration, the height of the specimen is equal to 30 cm, width is 12.5 cm and the length of the initial crack is equal to 2.5 cm. The length of the boundary over which impact is applied is equal to 5 cm, the rise time is fixed at 0.1 μs and the impact velocity is varied. The impact area is localized symmetrically or asymmetrically to the shorter axis of the specimen (symmetry axis of the cohesive band). Basing on the available data of recent experimental observation Rosakis et al. (1999) that have been carried out for relatively thin specimens both the plane stress and plane strain conditions are considered. The material of the specimen is AISI 4340 steel, while PMMA is the cohesive band, both modelled by thermo-elasto-viscoplastic constitutive equations with effects of isotropic hardening and softening generated by microdamage mechanisms and thermomechanical coupling. Fracture criterion based on the evolution of microdamage is assumed. Both, isothermal and adiabatic processes are considered.Particular attention is focused on the investigation of the interactions and reflections of stress waves and the influence of these waves on the propagation of macrocrack within the interface band. The propagation of the macroscopic crack within the material of the interface band for both symmetrical and asymmetrical impact cases has been investigated. It has been found that macrocrack-tip speeds vary from the shear wave speed to the dilatational wave speed of the material and is higher than the Rayleigh surface wave speed. This result is in accord with the experimental observations performed by Rosakis et al. (1999).  相似文献

通过精确测量Hopkinson杆子弹速度,实现了对PVDF压力传感器的动态标定,测试数据线性度良好,误差不超过1.9%,得到动态灵敏度系数K=32.83 pC/N,采用500 g TNT对“钢板-泡沫铝-钢板”复合结构进行爆炸冲击加载,测量结构间应力波的传播情况。研究结果表明:电压测试信号可以较为准确地反映弹性波与塑性波的加载时间和传播速度,PVDF对弹性应力波段高频信号的动态响应灵敏准确,与理论数据的相对误差为3.5%。测得泡沫铝材料中塑性波的传播速度为590 m/s,A1-B1界面塑性波透射系数达到了0.53,远高于弹性波透射系数。从机理上对应力时程曲线中出现的特殊现象进行了阐述,为相关爆炸测试提供参考。  相似文献

提出了高速切削过程中诱发绝热剪切带形成的热塑性剪切波的传播机理,针对锯齿形切屑中热望性区域内的塑性梯度变形特征、动量和能量耗散情况,建立了与切削条件相关的热塑性剪切波的传播模型及剪切带宽度模型.在此基础上,通过淬硬45钢的切削实验并结合改进的Johnson-Cook本构模型分析了热塑性剪切波的传播规律,并将剪切带宽度模型与已提出的DB模型、WR模型和DM模型做了对比,结果表明,由热塑性剪切波传播理论推导的剪切带宽度模型与实验结果较其他模型吻合较好.  相似文献

Results are reported for pressure–shear plate impact experiments in which pre-cracked 4340 steel plates are subjected to Mode II loading. Experiments show the propagation of a shear band ahead of the initial crack. Finite element simulations are used to interpret the results. Normal and transverse velocity–time profiles measured at the rear surface of the target can be simulated reasonably well using even an elastic model for the material response. A propagating shear band is obtained when the material is modeled as having reduced shearing resistance described by a thermo-viscoplastic power law, and complete loss of shearing resistance when the shear strain reaches a critical value. However, the predicted speed of propagation of the tip of the shear band is substantially less than required to explain the lengths of the bands observed in the experiments. Adjustments of parameters of the power-law model have little effect on the overall length of the band. Possible reasons for differences between predicted and measured shear band speeds are examined. Further reduction in the shearing resistance in the shear band appears to be essential for the simulated bands to be as long as those observed in the experiments.  相似文献

基于线黏弹性球面波Laplace域的理论解, 得到了不同传播距离处粒子速度、粒子位移、应力、应变等力学量的传递函数。以标准线性固体模型为例, 重点讨论了粒子速度频率响应函数的传播特征, 指出随着传播距离的增加, 粒子速度幅频响应函数的高频响应会低于低频响应, 而在理想弹性条件下, 粒子速度幅频响应函数的高频响应一直高于低频响应。以弹性半径为0.025 m的空腔爆炸为例, 采用Laplace数值逆变换方法对粒子速度波形的演化进行了分析, 给出了粒子速度强间断幅值及粒子速度峰值随传播距离变化的衰减规律曲线, 指出黏弹性介质中粒子速度幅值的衰减曲线介于理想弹性介质中粒子速度幅值衰减曲线和黏弹性介质中粒子速度强间断幅值衰减曲线之间。  相似文献

In this paper, a new composite thin wall beam element of arbitrary cross-section with open or closed contour is developed. The formulation incorporates the effect of elastic coupling, restrained warping, transverse shear deformation associated with thin walled composite structures. A first order shear deformation theory is considered with the beam deformation expressed in terms of axial, spanwise and chordwise bending, corresponding shears and twist. The formulated locking free element uses higher order interpolating polynomial obtained by solving static part of the coupled governing differential equations. The formulated element has super convergent properties as it gives the exact elemental stiffness matrix. Static and free vibration analyses are performed for various beam configuration and compared with experimental and numerical results available in current literature. Good correlation is observed in all cases with extremely small system size. The formulated element is used to study the wave propagation behavior in box beams subjected to high frequency loading such as impact. Simultaneous existence of various propagating modes are graphically captured. Here the effect of transverse shear on wave propagation characteristics in axial and transverse directions are investigated for different ply layup sequences.  相似文献

In this paper, longitudinal and transverse wave velocities propagating into aluminum alloy A6061 under simple shear and pure shear were studied experimentally. Compared with the same velocity change tendencies of transverse wave under simple shear and pure shear, longitudinal wave velocity shows different change tendencies under both shear states, regardless of the same shear strain states in two cases. Finite element analysis was performed and the analyzed results indicate that the transverse wave velocity depends on texture evolutions mainly, whereas the longitudinal wave velocity is sensitively influenced by point defects induced by cross-slips. Consequently, the longitudinal wave velocity showing a sensitive response to the point defects was examined by measuring longitudinal wave velocity changes propagating into Al single crystal subjected to the combination loads of equi-biaxial tension and compression.  相似文献

Wave propagation in porous piezoelectric material (PPM), having crystal symmetry 6 mm, is studied analytically. Christoffel equation is derived for the propagation of plane harmonic waves in such a medium. The roots of this equation give four complex wave velocities which can propagate in such materials. The phase velocities of propagation and the attenuation quality factors of all these waves are described in terms of complex wave velocities. Phase velocities and attenuation of the waves in PPM depend on the phase direction. Numerical results are computed for the PPM BaTiO3. The variation of phase velocity and attenuation quality factor with phase direction, porosity and the wave frequency is studied. The effects of anisotropy and piezoelectric coupling are also studied. The phase velocities of two quasi dilatational waves and one quasi shear waves get affected due to piezoelectric coupling while that of type 2 quasi shear wave remain unaffected. The phase velocities of all the four waves show non-dispersive behavior after certain critical high frequency. The phase velocity of all waves decreases with porosity while attenuation of respective waves increases with porosity of the medium. The characteristic curves, including slowness curves, velocity curves, and the attenuation curves, are also studied in this paper.  相似文献

A self-similar problem involving combined compressive and shear loading of a non work-hardening elastic-plastic half-space is solved, for large deformations, within the framework proposed earlier by J.R. Willis (1969). The thermodynamic system, which was left open in the general framework, is taken to be that proposed recently by G.W. Swan and C.K. Thornhill (1974). Results are presented for oblique loading of a block of low carbon steel. For an imposed normal velocity of the order of 1,100 m s?1, a smooth shear wave behind the shock that is formed is possible only for small transverse velocities, perhaps no greater than 14 m s?1, depending upon the value assumed for the yield stress. Larger transverse velocities would give rise to a thin layer of intense shear near the surface of the block, whose study would require allowance for both work-hardening and temperature-dependent yield stress.  相似文献

为了考察钛作为过渡层提高锆/钢复合板结合强度的有效性,同时给出合理的爆炸焊接碰撞参数,对双层锆/钢和三层锆/钛/钢进行了小倾角法爆炸焊接实验研究。借助金相显微技术测量了复合板结合界面的波形参数,采用光滑粒子动力学法模拟得到了不同位置的碰撞速度和碰撞角,并按照国家标准(GB/T 6396-2008)测量了复合板结合界面的爆炸态及退火态的剪切强度。结果表明:钛作为过渡层能够显著提高锆/钢界面的剪切强度;退火消除加工应力后,锆/钢及钛/钢结合面的剪切强度会有所降低;当锆/钛界面的碰撞速度为734~805 m/s,碰撞角为19.8°~20.8°,钛/钢界面的碰撞速度为803~904m/s,碰撞角为19.5°~20.5°时,锆/钛/钢三层复合板的锆/钛和钛/钢界面的剪切强度都能高于140 MPa。  相似文献

The propagation of finite-amplitude time-harmonic shear horizontal waves, in a pre-stressed compressible elastic layer of finite thickness embedded between two identical compressible elastic half-spaces, is investigated. This is accomplished by combining finite-amplitude linearly polarized inhomogeneous transverse plane wave solutions in the half-spaces and finite-amplitude linearly polarized unattenuated transverse plane wave solutions in the layer. The layer and half-spaces are made of different pre-stressed compressible neo-Hookean materials. The dispersion relation which relates wave speed and wavenumber is obtained in explicit form. The special case where the interfaces between the layer and the half-spaces are principal planes of the left Cauchy–Green deformation tensor is also investigated. Numerical results are presented showing the variation of the shear horizontal wave speed with the pre-stress and the propagation angle.  相似文献

The plastic relaxation of a shear crack situated normal to the interface of a second phase particle of circular cross-section is quantitatively analyzed. The ratio of applied stress to yield stress and the relative displacement of the crack faces at the tips of the crack in the matrix and the interface in the second phase are related to the crack parameters namely the length of the crack, the width of the plastic zone in the matrix and the second phase. The effect of the shear modulus and size of the second phase particle on the behaviour of the plastic zones is determined. A critical value of the relative displacement of the crack faces at the tip of the crack is used as the criterion to determine the tendency to brittle crack extension into the matrix and the second phase.  相似文献

对干燥、饱水、饱泵油大理岩和饱和砂岩进行了SHPB冲击压缩实验,得到了干燥岩石和饱和岩石的应力波衰减规律。在应力波传播过程中,其幅值有较大的衰减,干燥岩石的衰减最大,且孔隙度越大衰减越大,饱和岩石还存在较强的波弥散效应。在小于岩石屈服强度时,多次冲击加载下获得随冲击加载次数的增加,加载模量增大,残余应变减小的压实效应。这一结果可用于大型地震工程和防护工程的设计和建造。  相似文献

A new test method is developed for studying mixed-mode interfacial failure of thin films using laser generated stress waves. Guided by recent parametric studies of laser-induced tensile spallation, we successfully extend this technique to achieve mixed-mode loading conditions. By allowing an initial longitudinal wave to mode convert at an oblique surface, a high amplitude shear wave is generated in a fused silica substrate and propagated toward the thin-film surface. A shear wave is obtained with amplitude large enough to fail an Al film/fused silica interface and the corresponding shear stress calculated from high-speed interferometric displacement measurements. Examination of the interfaces failed under mixed-mode conditions reveals significant wrinkling and tearing of the film, in great contrast to blister patterns observed in similar Al films failed under tensile loading.  相似文献

In this paper, viscoelastic shear horizontal (SH) wave propagation in functionally graded material (FGM) plates and laminated plates are investigated. The controlling differential equation in terms of displacements is deduced based on the Kelvin–Voigt viscoelastic theory. The SH wave characteristics is controlled by two elastic constants and their corresponding viscous coefficients. By the Legendre polynomial series method, the asymptotic solutions are obtained. In order to verify the validity of the method, a homogeneous plate is calculated to make a comparison with available data. Through three different graded plates, the influences of gradient shapes on dispersion and attenuation are discussed. The viscous effects on the displacement and stress shapes are illustrated. The different boundary conditions are analyzed. The influential factors of the viscous effect are analyzed. Finally, two multilayered (two layer and five layer) viscoelastic plates that are composed of the same material volume fraction are calculated to show their differences from the graded plate.  相似文献
