This paper employs a hybrid numerical method combining the differential transformation method (DTM) and the finite difference method (FDM) to analyze the nonlinear dynamic behavior of a rigid rotor supported by a micro gas bearing system (MGBS). It is shown that the results obtained for the orbits of the rotor center are in good agreement with those obtained using the traditional FDM approach. Moreover, the hybrid method avoids the divergence problem suffered by the FDM scheme at low values of the rotor mass and computational time step. The results presented in this study summarize the changes which take place in the dynamic behavior of the MGBS as the rotor mass and bearing number are increased over the ranges 0.01–0.16 and 1.0–5.0, respectively, and therefore provide a useful insight into the nonlinear dynamics of the bearing system.  相似文献

This paper studies the bifurcation and nonlinear dynamic behaviors of a rigid rotor supported by a noncircular aerodynamic journal bearing system (NABS) with a specified rigid rotor. A hybrid numerical method combining the differential transformation method and the finite difference method are used to calculate pressure distribution of NABS and rotor orbits. The results obtained for the orbits of the rotor center are in good agreement with those obtained using the traditional finite difference approach. Moreover, the hybrid method avoids the divergence problem suffered by the finite difference scheme at low values of the rotor mass and computational time-step. The results presented summarize the changes which take place in the dynamic behavior of the NABS as the rotor mass and bearing number are increased and, therefore, provide a useful guideline for the bearing system.  相似文献

This paper studies the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a flexible rotor supported by self-acting gas bearings theoretically. The multiple degree freedom model of flexible rotor is established by the finite element method and analyzed coupled with the transient gas lubricated Reynolds equation by employing the forecasting orbit method. The Reynolds equation is solved by the alternating direction implicit method and the dynamic response of the rotor is calculated by the Newmark integral method. To settle the problem that the two kinds of transient solving processes (transient Reynolds equation for bearing and transient equation of motion for rotor) cannot be solved simultaneously, which arises from the fact that they need each other??s results as their initial values, the multi-field coupling algorithm based on the forecasting method is proposed and applied in this paper. By employing the numerical method, the rotor trajectory diagram, phase diagram, frequency spectrum, power spectrum, bifurcation diagram, and vibration mode diagram were obtained. It is to note that the dynamic characteristics of self-acting gas bearing?Crotor system and whirling instability of the system could be depicted successfully. This would establish the foundation for contributing to a further understanding of the gas bearing?Cflexible rotor system.  相似文献

This study presents a dynamic analysis of a flexible rotor supported by two porous squeeze micropolar fluid-film journal bearings with nonlinear suspension. The dynamics of the rotor center and bearing center are studied. The analysis of the rotor–bearing system is investigated under the assumptions of non-Newtonian fluid and a short bearing approximation. The spatial displacements in the horizontal and vertical directions are considered for various nondimensional speed ratios. The dynamic equations are solved using the Runge–Kutta method. The methods of analysis employed in this study are inclusive of the dynamic trajectories of the rotor center and bearing center, power spectra, Poincaré maps, and bifurcation diagrams. The maximum Lyapunov exponent analysis is also used to identify the onset of chaotic motion. The numerical results show that the stability of the dynamic system varies with the nondimensional speed ratios, the nondimensional parameter, and permeability. The modeling results obtained by using the method proposed in this paper can be employed to predict the dynamics of the rotor–bearing system, and the undesirable behavior of the rotor and bearing centers can be avoided.  相似文献

A general model of a rub-impact rotor system is set up and supported by oil film journal bearings. The Jacobian matrix of the system response is used to calculate the Floquet multipliers, and the stability of periodic response is determined via the Floquet theory. The nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the system are investigated when the rotating speed and damping ratio is used as control parameter. The analysis methods are inclusive of bifurcation diagrams, Poincaré maps, phase plane portraits, power spectrums, and vibration responses of the rotor center and bearing center. The analysis reveals a complex dynamic behavior comprising periodic, multi-periodic, chaotic, and quasi-periodic response. The modeling results thus obtained by using the proposed method will contribute to understanding and controlling of the nonlinear dynamic behaviors of the rotor-bearing system.  相似文献

The object of this research aims at the hydraulic generator unit rotor system. According to fault problems of the generator rotor local rubbing caused by the parallel misalignment and mass eccentricity, a dynamic model for the rotor system coupled with misalignment and rub-impact is established. The dynamic behaviors of this system are investigated using numerical integral method, as the parallel misalignment, mass eccentricity and bearing stiffness vary. The nonlinear dynamic responses of the generator rotor and turbine rotor with coupling faults are analyzed by means of bifurcation diagrams, Poincaré maps, axis orbits, time histories and amplitude spectrum diagrams. Various nonlinear phenomena in the system, such as periodic, three-periodic and quasi-periodic motions, are studied with the change of the parallel misalignment. The results reveal that vibration characteristics of the rotor system with coupling faults are extremely complex and there are some low frequencies with large amplitude in the 0.3–0.4× components. As the increase in mass eccentricity, the interval of nonperiodic motions will be continuously moved forward. It suggests that the reduction in mass eccentricity or increase in bearing stiffness could preclude nonlinear vibration. These might provide some important theory references for safety operating and exact identification of the faults in rotating machinery.  相似文献

Based on the nonlinear theory, the unbalanced responses of a fixed-tilting-pad gas-lubricated journal bearing-rigid rotor system are investigated. A?time-dependent mathematical model is established to describe the pressure distribution of gas-lubricated journal bearing with nonlinearity. The rigid rotor supported by a fixed-tilting-pad self-acting gas-lubricated journal bearing is modeled. The differential transformation method has been employed to solve the time-dependent gas-lubricated Reynolds equation, and the dynamic motion equation has been solved by the direct integral method. The unbalanced responses of the rotor system supported by fixed-tilting-pad gas-lubricated journal bearings are analyzed by the orbit diagram, Poincaré map, time series, and spectrum diagram. The numerical results reveal periodic, period-3, and quasiperiodic motions of nonlinear behaviors of the system. Finally, the effects of pivot ratio and preload coefficient on the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the fixed-tilting-pad self-acting gas-lubricated journal bearing-rotor system are investigated.  相似文献

This research studies the effects of axial preload on nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a flexible rotor supported by angular contact ball bearings. A dynamic model of ball bearings is improved for modeling a five-degree-of-freedom rotor bearing system. The predicted results are in good agreement with prior experimental data, thus validating the proposed model. With or without considering unbalanced forces, the Floquet theory is employed to investigate the bifurcation and stability of system periodic solution. With the aid of Poincarè maps and frequency response, the unstable motion of system is analyzed in detail. Results show that the effects of axial preload applied to ball bearings on system dynamic characteristics are significant. The unstable periodic solution of a balanced rotor bearing system can be avoided when the applied axial preload is sufficient. The bifurcation margins of an unbalanced rotor bearing system enhance markedly as the axial preload increases and relates to system resonance speed.  相似文献

The paper discusses the bifurcation and stability behavior of (automotive) turbochargers with full-floating ring bearings. Turbocharger rotors exhibit a highly nonlinear behavior due to the nonlinearities introduced by the floating ring bearings. A flexible multibody model of the rotor/bearing system is presented. Numerical run-up simulations are compared with corresponding test rig measurements. The nonlinear oscillation effects are thoroughly investigated by means of simulated and measured rotor vibrations. The influence of various system parameters on the bifurcation behavior of the rotor/bearing system is analyzed. The article examines rotors supported in full-floating ring bearings with plain circular bearing geometry in the inner and outer oil gap. By recapitulating the well-known oil whirl and oil whip phenomena for single and double oil film bearings, the paper gives an overview on the fundamental dynamic effects occurring in turbocharger systems.  相似文献

Dynamic analysis of a high-speed rotor bearing systems is challenged by their highly nonlinear and complex properties. Hence, an approximate response surface method (RSM) is utilized to analyze the effects of design and operating parameters on the vibration signature of a rotor-bearing system. This paper focuses on accurate performance prediction, which is essential to the design of high performance rotor bearing system. It considers distributed defects such as internal radial clearance and surface waviness of the bearing components. In the mathematical formulation the contacts between the rolling elements and the races are considered as nonlinear springs, whose stiffnesses are obtained by using Hertzian elastic contact deformation theory. The governing differential equations of motion are obtained by using Lagrange's equations. In terms of the feature that the nonlinear bearing forces act on the system, a reduction method and corresponding integration technique is used to increase the numerical stability and decrease computer time for system analysis. Parameters effects are analyzed together and its influence considered with DOE and Surface Response Methodology are used to predict dynamic response of a rotor-bearing system.  相似文献

研究非线性高维复杂转子-轴承系统的动力特性。针对系统的局部非线性特征,给出了一种降阶及配套动力积分方法。降阶系统仍保持局部非线性特征,非线性响应数值积分所需的迭代只需在局部非线性的维数上执行。对于油膜力无封闭解的实际轴承,采用变分不等方程有限元法求解Reynolds边值问题,使得油膜力及其Jacobian矩阵的计算变得非常简单明了且与具有协调一致的精度。应用上述方法计算分析了一双跨、椭圆轴承-转子系统的不平衡响应,数值结果展现了系统丰富复杂的非线性现象。  相似文献

Electromagnetic excitation in high power density permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) due to eccentricity is a significant concern in industry; however, the treatment of lateral and torsional coupled vibrations caused by electromagnetic excitation is rarely addressed, yet it is very important for evaluating the stability of dynamic rotor vibrations. This study focuses on an analytical method for analyzing the stability of coupled lateral/torsional vibrations in rotor systems caused by electromagnetic excitation in a PMSM. An electromechanically coupled lateral/torsional dynamic model of a PMSM Jeffcott rotor is derived using a Lagrange–Maxwell approach. Equilibrium stability was analyzed using a linearized matrix of the equation describing the system. The stability criteria of coupled torsional–lateral motions are provided, and the influences of the electromagnetic and mechanical parameters on mechanical vibration stability and nonlinear behavior were investigated. These results provide better understanding of the nonlinear response of an eccentric PMSM rotor system and are beneficial for controlling and diagnosing eccentricity.  相似文献

This paper presents the effect of preload, as one of the design parameters, on nonlinear dynamic behavior of a rigid rotor supported by gas-lubricated noncircular journal bearings. A finite element method has been employed to solve the Reynolds equation in static and dynamical states and the dynamical equations are solved using the Runge–Kutta method. To analyze the behavior of the rotor center in horizontal and vertical directions under different operating conditions, dynamic trajectory, power spectra, Poincare maps, and bifurcation diagrams are used. Results of this study reveal how the complex dynamic behavior of two types of noncircular bearing systems comprising periodic, KT-periodic, and quasi-periodic responses of the rotor center varies with changes in preload value.  相似文献

本文采用了变分方法对非定常短轴承的油膜压力分布公式进行了修正,既保留了短轴承公式的简洁形式,又使其适用于大长径比轴承。得出了具有足够精度、适合轴颈大扰动情况下的有限长圆柱轴承非定常油膜力的解析公式。与差分充零算法相比,短轴承公式的结果在轴承长径比为0.6时,误差已经超过百分之二百,而本方法计算结果的误差小于百分之五。因此采用本方法既提高了短轴承油膜力公式的计算精度,又保持了油膜力公式的简洁形式,不失为进行转子-轴承系统非线性动力分析的一种有效方法。  相似文献

This paper is focused on accurate performance prediction due to localized defects (like spalls) of microns level on the bearing components, which is essential to the design for high performance. In the mathematical formulation, the contacts between the rolling elements and the races are considered as nonlinear springs, whose stiffnesses are obtained by using Hertzian contact deformation theory. The formulation predicts the discrete spectra with the characteristic defect frequencies and their harmonics, which is helpful in prediction of system stability and to avoid severe (chaotic) vibrations in a rotor bearing system. The results are presented in the form of bifurcation diagrams, Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT) and Poincaré maps for individual defects of bearing components. The system also shows the three different categories of system behavior under nonlinear dynamic conditions.  相似文献

应用有限元法建立偏置转子的计算模型,采用考虑轴承Hertzian接触力和内间隙等非线性因素的二自由度滚动轴承模型,建立了滚动轴承-偏置转子系统的非线性动力学模型.通过数值仿真和实验研究分析了转子系统的非线性动力特性.实验数据和有限元模型计算结果是一致的,证实了所建立滚动轴承-转子系统非线性模型的合理性.发现由于滚动轴承非线性因素的影响,当转速达到系统共振转速的两倍附近时,激起了系统亚谐共振.  相似文献
