A series of Mo doped Ni-Mn-Zn ferrites compounds with the formula Ni0.5Zn0.5Mn0.5-xMoxFe1.5O4 (x = 0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075 and 0.1) were first synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) analysis were carried out to characterize the microstructural and magnetic properties of ferrites. Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data confirmed the formation of cubic spinel structure and the emergence of FeMoO4 phase with the substitution of Mo6+ contents. The grain size increased remarkably due to the formation of the liquid phase. The saturation magnetization (Ms) increased while the coercivity (Hc) decreased from 67.3 to 12.1 Oe due to the decrease of magneto-crystalline anisotropy constant. The initial permeability (μi) increased significantly from 34 (x = 0) to 114 (x = 0.075) and later decreased for x = 0.1. In our experiment, Ni0.5Zn0.5Mn0.425Mo0.075Fe1.5O4 ferrite presented the best microstructure and soft magnetic properties.  相似文献

PbIn0.5Nb0.5O3 (PIN) ferroelectric relaxer ceramics obtained by the solid-phase method is studied. Prior to sintering, the synthesized charge is subjected to mechanical action in Bridgman anvils at room temperature. The electrophysical properties of the reference sample and test samples are compared. It is concluded that mechanical treatment of the material at the stage of preparation allows one to control the physical properties of ferroelectric ceramics. Starting from a certain amount of the action, the electrophysical properties of PIN ceramics vary nonmonotonically.  相似文献

Y Fe0.5Cr0.5O3 ceramics have been synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction. Powder X-ray diffraction shows that this compound possesses an orthorhombic structure with Pnma space group. It exhibits a high magnetic transition temperature at around 250 K with weak ferromagnetic behavior below this temperature. A dielectric relaxation following the Arrhenius law found in the Y Fe0.5Cr0.5O3 compound can be attributed to the charge carrier hopping conduction.  相似文献

A single crystal of the magnetic semiconductor Tm0.5Eu0.5Se was studied by means of neutron diffraction in the temperature range from 1.8 to 293 K. Long-range magnetic order is detected at temperatures below Tc = (18.5±1) K. The measured ferromagnetic moment component of (2.12±0.05) μB per rare-earth ion at saturation in zero external magnetic field indicates approximately antiparallel alignment of Tm moment and Eu spin (mutual angle 134°). The experimentally determined neutron magnetic form factor confirms the divalent state of both Tm and Eu in Tm0.5Eu0.5Se.  相似文献

KTa0.5Nb0.5O3 thin films were synthesized via a metal-organic solution. Characteristics were measured, such as X-ray diffraction pattern, surface morphology and roughness, and electric properties. The synthesized films have a (100) preferential growth orientation on Si (100) substrate. The homogeneous microstructure and smooth surface benefit to the good electric properties of the thin films. The current density-voltage characteristic shows an unexpected feature of the transition from linear to nonlinear, which can be explained by the space-charge-limited mode. Dielectric constant and loss of the thin films decrease with the increase of frequency. The decrease of dielectric loss is related to the decrease of net polarization in material. The decrease of dielectric constant can be explained by Debye formula. The phase transition temperature T c is about 102 °C for KTa0.5Nb0.5O3 materials.  相似文献

The effect of high chromium concentrations on the charge and orbital ordering in manganites is studied using neutron diffraction and magnetic measurements. It is found that the Nd0.6Ca0.4Mn0.5Cr0.5O3 manganite exhibits a CE-type antiferromagnetic ordering with a weak ferromagnetic component below 160 K. In the Nd0.6Ca0.4Mn0.5Cr0.5O3 manganite, the Mn and Cr ions form antiferromagnetic zigzag chains that are likewise antiferromagnetically coupled with one another in the basal plane and are arranged along the b axis of the orthorhombic structure with oppositely directed spins. An applied magnetic field of 5 T does not change the magnetic structure.  相似文献

The structural characteristics of olivine-type lithium orthophosphate Li(Mg0.5Ni0.5)PO4 synthesized via solid-state reaction have been studied using X-ray diffraction, ion beam technique, scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray analysis. The parent LiNiPO4 compound can be synthesized in olivine structure without any evidence of secondary phases as impurities. The structural quality of the parent LiNiPO4 in the absence of secondary component phases resulted in the formation of hexagonal closed packed structure. The olivine analogue compound containing mixed M (M?=?Mg, Ni) cations, Li(Mg0.5Ni0.5)PO4 contained Li3PO4 as a second phase upon synthesis, however a carbothermal reduction method produced a single-phase compound. The redox behaviour of carbon-coated Li(Mg0.5Ni0.5)PO4 cathode in aqueous lithium hydroxide as the electrolyte showed reversible lithium intercalation.  相似文献

The effect of hot consolidation method on the microstructures and superconducting properties of FeSe0.5Te0.5 (+B, C) was examined. FeSe0.5Te0.5 (+B, C) compounds were prepared by four different hot-consolidation methods: in-situ sintering, infra-red radiation sintering, hot-pressing and spark plasma sintering. The results showed that, among the employed consolidation methods, the spark plasma sintering is the most effective processing route for enhancing the critical current density due to enhanced densification. The doping of B or C also increased the critical density of FeSe0.5Te0.5, in particular, for spark plasma sintered specimens, but its beneficial effect was less pronounced for the specimens prepared by the other methods.  相似文献

The structural and magnetic properties of the alloy system REIn0.5Ag0.5 [RE = Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm and Yb] are reported. All these alloys (except that of Yb) crystallize in a cubic CsCl type structure at room temperature. Low temperature X-ray diffraction data does not reveal any structural phase transformation down to 8 K. On the basis of magnetic susceptibility data at a different temperature (3–300 K) and applied magnetic field (2 × 105 to 8 × 106 A m-1, it has been concluded that GdIn0.5Ag0.5 is ferromagnetic (Tc = 118 K), TbIn0.5Ag0.5 and DyIn0.5Ag0.5 are meta magnetic (TN = 66 and 30 K, respectively) and alloys involving Ho, Er, Tm and Yb are ferrimagnetic with Néel temperatures (TN) equal to 24, 22, 21 and 20 K, respectively. The evaluated effective magneton number (p) is found to be slightly larger compared to theoretical values for tripositive ions of Gd, Tb and Dy and a bit smaller for Ho, Er, Tm and Yb. The results have been qualitatively explained using appropriate theories.  相似文献

(Pb0.5Fe0.5)Sr2(Y0.5Ca0.5)Cu2Oz is known to have so-called “1-2-1-2” crystallographic structure which is one of typical structures of high-temperature superconducting cuprates (HTSC’s). While it possesses structural characteristics of HTSC’s, superconductivity has not been reported so far. In this study, phase formation, electrical properties and structural characteristics of this compound are investigated. It is shown that this phase can be synthesized using several kinds of rare-earth element and that post-annealing in O2 is effective for decreasing electrical resistivity. The latter suggests that this “1-2-1-2” can be made superconducting by appropriate carrier-doping into the [Cu–O2] plane. Preliminary Rietveld structural refinement using powder X-ray diffraction data show that the initial structural model based on the nominal (Pb,Fe)Sr2(Y,Ca)Cu2Oz is basically correct except for true site-distribution of Fe and Cu.  相似文献

The magnetic properties and crystal structure of the Pr0.5Sr0.5Co0.5Fe0.5O3 compound are studied by neutron and x-ray diffractions using synchrotron radiation. These measurements show that this compound is a dielectric spin glass with a magnetic moment freezing temperature of about 70 K. As temperature decreases in the range 30–95 K, a structure phase transition of the first order occurs with an increase in the symmetry from orthorhombic (space group Imma) to tetragonal (space group I4/mcm). It is assumed that the transition is caused by a change in the 4f electron configuration of the Pr3+ ions.  相似文献

Polycrystalline multiferroic PbFe0.5Nb0.5O3 (PFN) fabricated by a solid-phase method is studied. Before sintering, a synthesized PFN powder is processed in Bridgman anvils via a force action in combination with shear deformation (FASD) at room temperature. The electrophysical properties and structural parameters of processed samples and a reference sample are compared. Point defects are shown to play a key role in the formation of the physical properties beginning from an FASD of 200 MPa.  相似文献

Using density functional methods, optical properties of KTa0.5Nb0.5O3 (KTN) are investigated. The imaginary part of dielectric function ε2(ω), the optical absorption coefficient I(ω) and the reflectivity R(ω) of KTN in the cubic (paraelectric) and tetragonal (ferroelectric) phases are calculated. The origin of the different behavior of the optical spectra between the two phases is discussed.  相似文献

0.5BiNd x Fe1?x O 3 ? 0.5PbTiO3 (BN x F1?x ? PT)(x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) composites were successfully synthesized by a solid state reaction technique. At room temperature, X-ray diffraction shows tetragonal structure for all concentrations of Nd doped 0.5BiFeO3 ? 0.5PbTiO3 composites. The nature of Nyquist plot confirms the presence of bulk effects only for BN x F1?x ? PT (x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) composites. The bulk resistance is found to decreases with the increasing temperature as well as Nd concentration and exhibits a typical negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR) behavior. Both the complex impedance and modulus studies have suggested the presence of non-Debye type of relaxation in the composites. Conductivity spectra reveal the presence of hopping mechanism in the electrical transport process of the composites. The activation energy calculated from impedance plot of the composite decreases with increasing Nd x concentration and found to be 0.89, 0.76, 0.71 and 0.70 eV for x=0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 respectively.  相似文献

Ferrite samples of the composition Cu0.5−xNi0.5ZnxFe2O4 (0.0≤x≤0.5) were synthesized by chemical co-precipitation. The samples exhibited a single phase cubic spinel structure, and the saturation magnetization of the samples was found to increase with increasing Zn content. Using a quantum mechanical method proposed by our group, the cation distributions in the samples were estimated. Estimated cation distributions obtained by fitting the magnetic moments of the samples were then used to perform Rietveld fitting for X-ray diffraction patterns. The acceptable error parameters in the Rietveld fitting indicate that the estimated cation distributions in the samples are reasonable.  相似文献

Crystals of PbSc0.5Nb0.5O3 are investigated by x-ray diffraction and optical spectroscopy. It is found that the phase transformations in PbSc0.5Nb0.5O3 are governed by two mechanisms: displacive ferroelectric phase transitions and consistent rotations of oxygen octahedra.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties of La1?xSmx(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics were examined with a view to their exploitation for mobile communication. The La1?xSmx(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics were prepared by the conventional solid-state method with various sintering temperatures. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the La0.97Sm0.03(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics revealed no significant variation of phase with sintering temperatures. Apparent density of 6.59 g/cm3, dielectric constant (εr) of 19.9, quality factor (Q×f) of 70,200 GHz, and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of ?77 ppm/°C were obtained for La0.97Sm0.03(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics that were sintered at 1500 °C for 4 h. The dielectric constant, and τf of La0.97Sm0.03(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics were almost independent with the sintering temperature as the sintering temperature varied from 1450 to 1600 °C.  相似文献

High temperature X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD), temperature programmed desorption (TPD), thermogravimetric analysis–differential thermal analysis (TGA/DTA) and neutron diffraction were combined to determine the structure and oxygen stoichiometry of SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3−δ (SCF) and Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3−δ (BSCF) up to 1273 K in the pO2 range of 1 to 10 5 atm. Formation of the vacancy-ordered brownmillerite phase, SrCo0.8Fe0.2O2.5, was observed as a region of zero oxygen release in the TPD measurements and confirmed by HT-XRD and TGA/DTA. No ordering was observed in the BSCF system by any of the techniques utilized in this work. The oxygen vacancy concentration of BSCF was found to be considerably higher than that of SCF and always higher than that of the ordered brownmillerite phase of SCF, δ = 0.5. The combination of a high vacancy concentration and absence of ordering leads to higher oxygen permeation fluxes through BSCF membranes in comparison to SCF.  相似文献

The structural characteristics of the BaTiO3/(Ba0.5,Sr0.5)TiO3/SrTiO3 superlattice on a (001) MgO substrate have been studied using X-ray diffraction. The modulation period and unit cell parameters of layers forming the superlattice have been measured. The sizes of coherent scattering regions and average microstrains in the direction perpendicular to the surface have been estimated. The obtained characteristics are compared to those of the two-layer BaTiO3/(Ba0.5,Sr0.5)TiO3 superlattice. The Raman spectra demonstrate a substantial shift of the soft E(TO) mode in the three-layer superlattice as compared to the position in the two-layer superlattice. The effects observed are associated with a substantial increase in the temperature of the phase transition of the three-layer superlattice to the paraelectric phase.  相似文献
