The classical deterministic dynamics of a Brownian particle with a time-dependent periodic perturbation in a spatially periodic potential is investigated. We have constructed a perturbed chaotic solution near the heteroclinic orbit of the nonlinear dynamics system by using the Constant-Variation method. Theoretical analysis and numerical result show that the motion of the Brownian particle is a kind of chaotic motion. The corresponding chaotic region in parameter space is obtained analytically and numerically.  相似文献

Using numerical method, we investigate whether periodic, quasiperiodic, and chaotic breathers are supported by the two-dimensional discrete Fermi-Pasta-Ulam (FPU) lattice with linear dispersion term. The spatial profile and time evolution of the two-dimensional discrete β -FPU lattice are segregated by the method of separation of variables, and the numerical simulations suggest that the discrete breathers (DBs) are supported by the system. By introducing a periodic interaction into the linear interaction between the atoms, we achieve the coupling of two incommensurate frequencies for a single DB, and the numerical simulations suggest that the quasiperiodic and chaotic breathers are supported by the system, too.  相似文献

We find that phase synchronization (PS) is a mechanism in which the spatiotemporal chaos (STC) can be suppressed to a spatially regular (SR) state by applying an external periodic signal in a one-dimensional driven drift-wave system.In the driving wave coordinate,the nonlinear system can be transformed to a set of coupled oscillators moving in a periodic potential.In this multi-dimensional system,the internal modes are slaved one by one through PS by the control signal.Two types of responses of the internal modes to the external periodic signal are observed.For some modes,the stabilization is through frequency-locking;while for the other modes,a special kind of PS without frequency-locking,namely multi-looping PS,is developed.  相似文献

<正>This paper presents a non-autonomous hyper-chaotic system,which is formed by adding a periodic driving signal to a four-dimensional chaotic model extended from the Lorenz system.The resulting non-autonomous hyper-chaotic system can display any dynamic behaviour among the periodic orbits,intermittency,chaos and hyper-chaos by controlling the frequency of the periodic signal.The phenomenon has been well demonstrated by numerical simulations,bifurcation analysis and electronic circuit realization.Moreover,the system is concrete evidence for the presence of Pomeau-Manneville Type-Ⅰintermittency and crisis-induced intermittency.The emergence of a different type of intermittency is similarly subjected to the frequency of periodic forcing.By statistical analysis,power scaling laws consisting in different intermittency are obtained for the lifetime in the laminar state between burst states.  相似文献

Dynamical behaviour of the one-dimensional complex Ginzburg--Landau equation (CGLE) with finite system size $L$ is investigated, based on numerical simulations. By varying the system size and keeping other system parameters in the defect turbulence region (defect turbulence in large $L$ limit), a number of intermittencies new for the CGLE system are observed in the processes of pattern formations and transitions while the system dynamics varies from a homogeneous periodic oscillation to strong defect turbulence.  相似文献

Two results on the formation of singularities in solutions to the system of one-dimensional hydromagnetic dynamics are presented.In particular,it is shown that shocks form from a smooth spatial periodic flow in a finite time if the initial amounts of entropy and the “magnetic field” in each period are smaller than those of sound waves.A quantitative estimate of blow-up time is also given.  相似文献

The thermostatted system is a conservative system different from Hamiltonian systems,and has attracted much attention because of its rich and different nonlinear dynamics.We report and analyze the multiple equilibria and curve axes of the cluster-shaped conservative flows generated from a generalized thermostatted system.It is found that the cluster-shaped structure is reflected in the geometry of the Hamiltonian,such as isosurfaces and local centers,and the shapes of cluster-shaped chaotic flows and invariant tori rely on the isosurfaces determined by initial conditions,while the numbers of clusters are subject to the local centers solved by the Hessian matrix of the Hamiltonian.Moreover,the study shows that the cluster-shaped chaotic flows and invariant tori are chained together by curve axes,which are the segments of equilibrium curves of the generalized thermostatted system.Furthermore,the interesting results are vividly demonstrated by the numerical simulations.  相似文献

A two-degree-of-freedom vibro-impact system having symmetrical rigid stops and subjected to periodic excitation is investigated in this paper. By introducing local maps between different stages of motion in the whole impact process, the Poincar'e map of the system is constructed. Using the Poincar'e map and the Gram-Schmidt orthonormalization, a method of calculating the spectrum of Lyapunov exponents of the above vibro-impact system is presented. Then the phase portraits of periodic and chaotic attractors for the system and the corresponding convergence diagrams of the spectrum of Lyapunov exponents are given out through the numerical simulations. To further identify the validity of the aforementioned computation method, the bifurcation diagram of the system with respect to the bifurcation parameter and the corresponding largest Lyapunov exponents are shown.  相似文献

The coupling effects on two concentric cylindrical shells with periodic annular plates as well as entrained fluid were investigated theoretically. Expressions for the reactive forces by the annular plates were derived on the assumption that only quasi-longitudinal waves exist in the annular plates and an analytical expression for the outer shell was developed. Comparisons of numerical results for infinite two-walled cylindrical shell to measured data for a cabin model are in good agreement. Numerical results were presented for analyzing the characteristics of the loadings due to the acoustic fluid and the periodic annular plates, and their influences on the outer shell's far field acoustic radiation.  相似文献

A Brownian microscopic heat engine with a particle hopping on a one-dimensional lattice driven by a discrete and periodic temperature field in a periodic sawtooth potential is investigated. In order to clarify the underlying physical pictures of the heat engine, the heat flow via the potential energy and the kinetic energy of the particles are considered simultaneously. Based on describing the jumps among the three states, the expressions of the efficiency and power output of the heat engine are derived analytically. The general performance characteristic curves are plotted by numerical calculation. It is found that the power output-efficiency curve is a loop-shaped one, which is similar to one for a real irreversible heat engine. The influence of the ratio of the temperature of the hot and cold reservoirs and the sawtooth potential on the maximum efficiency and power output is analyzed for some given parameters. When the heat flows via the kinetic energy is neglected, the power output-efficiency curve is an open-shaped one, which is similar to one for an endroeversible heat engine.  相似文献
