Experimental results on supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fibre tapers using pump pulses of 7 ns duration at 532 nm are presented. Photonic crystal fibre tapers with the first wavelength of zero dispersion around 532 nm were fabricated. The generation of supercontinuum was investigated in normal and anomalous dispersion regimes. Supercontinuum spectra spanning more than 400 nm in the visible region are reported.  相似文献

The nonlinear generation of an acoustic supercontinuum in a solid doped with impurity paramagnetic ions is studied theoretically. It is shown that generation can be the most efficient at two certain carrier frequencies of input pulses lying above the resonance spin-phonon absorption line and determined by the time and spatial dispersions, respectively. The generated supercontinuum lies well below the resonance absorption line. Generation of the supercontinuum in the single-frequency regime is accompanied by a shift of the input pulse spectrum mainly to the red. In the two-frequency regime, cross scattering is possible when a higher-frequency pulse is scattered by the powerful supercontinuum generated by a pulse with a different, lower carrier frequency. As a result, the spectrum of the high-frequency pulse experiences a strong modulation and broadening both to the red and blue. The efficiency of supercontinuum generation both in the single-frequency and two-frequency regimes can be on the order of 1%.  相似文献

超连续谱光源在众多科学领域具有广泛而重要的应用, 近年来一直是国际研究热点. 回顾了利用连续光激光器和脉冲光激光器抽运光子晶体光纤产生超连续谱光源的形成机制以及近几年来两种机制下高功率超连续谱光源所取得的进展, 分析了在提高超连续谱光源输出平均功率过程中需要克服的难题. 报道了国防科学技术大学通过优化超连续谱光源的整体结构, 攻克了低损耗熔接、光纤端面抗损伤、热处理以及非线性效应的有效控制等关键技术, 成功研制出一种全光纤结构、输出平均功率为177.6 W的超连续谱光源, 光谱范围覆盖1064-2000 nm, 10 dB光谱带宽约740 nm, 光-光转换效率高达56%, 功率水平为国际领先.  相似文献

Numerical simulations are used to study the effect of the frequency dependence of the effective mode area in photonic crystal fiber on supercontinuum generation. We quantify how the frequency dependence of the effective area influences the propagation characteristics through a modified optical shock term and identify the major consequence as a reduction in the extreme long-wavelength edge of the supercontinuum spectrum. Our results show that, for the parameter regimes used in many previous supercontinuum generation experiments using near-infrared femtosecond pump sources around 800 nm, this effect would be expected to be negligible. However, for pumps in the 1000–1500 nm range, the inclusion of this effect would be expected to be crucial for accurate comparison of simulations with experiment.  相似文献

We present a numerical study of two dimensional solid core photonic bandgap fiber design criteria for their particular application to blue/visible supercontinuum generation. By exploiting their strong frequency-dependent dispersion when compared to index guiding micro-structured fibers, we highlight the design of solid core photonic bandgap fibers to fulfill group index matching conditions between the first ejected optical soliton and the trapped dispersive wave generated in the visible wavelength range. We study how these matching conditions depend on the opto-geometrical parameters of the micro-structured cladding, and we use frequency-domain numerical simulations to determine the expected supercontinuum spectral characteristics for selected cases. We investigate design criteria to generate short wavelengths by pumping in such photonic bandgap fibers in different pulse duration regimes and we identify a novel class of short wavelength (blue/visible) supercontinuum generation in the 3rd bandgap of a typical structure by pumping into the 2nd bandgap through a high attenuation spectral region.  相似文献

We present a theoretical and experimental analysis of supercontinuum generation in very short lengths of high-nonlinearity photonic crystal fibers. The Raman response function for Schott SF6 glass is presented for what is believed to be the first time and used for numerical modeling of pulse propagation. Simulation and experiments are in excellent agreement and demonstrate the rapid transition to regimes of spectral complexity due to higher-order nonlinear effects.  相似文献

The mechanism and the latest achievements in high power supercontinuum generation are reviewed both for the continuous wave pump regime and the pulsed pump regime. The challenges in scaling the average power of supercontinuum generation are analyzed. 利用非线性薛定谔方程对飞秒脉冲在硅波导中的传输以及超连续谱的产生进行了研究,计算和分析了色散参量及非线性损耗在超连续谱的产生过程中的影响.结果表明,孤子分裂是飞秒脉冲在硅波导中产生超连续谱的主要机理.飞秒脉冲中心波长与波导零色散点的相对位置对超连续谱的产生有极大影响.当中心波长位于近零色散点的反常色散区时,孤子分裂现象最明显,谱宽远大于在零色散波长及正常色散处入射时的情况,并且达到稳定展宽所需波导长度最短.其次,高阶色散的大小也会影响光谱展宽,三阶色散绝对值较小时,能够获得较大的展宽.另外,由于双光子吸收效应带来大量损耗,限制了谱宽,并且随着初始脉冲功率的逐渐增大,展宽出现饱和现象. 关键词: 超连续谱 孤子分裂 色散 硅波导  相似文献

研究了光子晶体光纤中超连续激光光源的产生机理.利用非线性偏振旋转技术产生的中心波长为1 556.0 nm的飞秒光脉冲作为泵浦光源,在69 m长的高非线性光子晶体光纤中,得到了20 dB带宽约为140 nm的超连续谱;采用实验和数值模拟方法,研究了不同泵浦功率下超连续谱形成的过程.结果表明,在不同的泵浦功率下,超连续谱的形成机理不同,在各种非线性效应的共同作用下,泵浦光脉冲的峰值功率越高,得到超连续谱的带宽越宽,实验与数值模拟结果一致.另外,要想获得平坦的宽带超连续谱,必须选择合适的光纤长度.  相似文献

本文使用重复频率为250 MHz、脉冲宽度为135 fs、最大功率为2.2 W的锁模掺镱光纤激光作为种子源,利用光子晶体光纤和自制的拉锥式单模光纤两种高非线性光纤研究了超连续光谱的产生特性,通过对比两种光纤的结构、色散等特性,分析了拉曼孤子、色散波及其他非线性效应对产生的超连续谱形状的影响,并均得到了大于一个倍频程的超连续光谱,特别是拉锥式单模光纤产生的超连续光谱,耦合效率达到60%,这为众多研究领域,尤其是光学频率梳的建立提供了实用的超连续光源.  相似文献

Some characteristics of supercontinuum generation in the dispersion-shifted-fiber are studied both in theory and experiment. The theoretical research shows how the fiber nonlinearities, such as self-phase-modulation, four-wave-mixing and cross-phase-modulation, play their roles in the supercontinuum generation. Some dependent parameters of supercontinuum generation, such as the fiber length, the pump power are also discussed in this paper. 基于广义非线性薛定谔方程,通过数值计算对高非线性光纤正常色散区产生超连续谱进行了研究.结果表明,抽运脉冲的峰值功率、脉冲宽度以及脉冲初始啁啾对该光纤正常色散区超连续谱的形成有极其重要的影响;在高非线性光纤正常色散区产生超连续谱的过程中,三、四阶群速度色散甚至更高阶群速度色散对超连续谱的影响完全可以忽略,但与其他高非线性效应相比,自陡峭效应对超连续谱产生的影响更为明显.高功率超短光脉冲在高非线性光纤正常色散区,得到了没有泵浦成份残余、-20 dB谱宽达400 nm以上而频谱强度起伏小于10 dB的超宽而平坦超连续谱.  相似文献

Picosecond pulse pumped supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fiber is investigated by performing a series of comparative experiments. The main purpose is to investigate the supercontinuum generation processes excited by a given pump source through the experimental study of some specific fibers. A 20-W all-fiber picosecond master oscillator-power amplifier (MOPA) laser is used to pump three different kinds of photonic crystal fibers for supercontinuum generation. Three diverse supercontinuum formation processes are observed to correspond to photonie crystal fibers with distinct dis- persion properties. The experimental results are consistent with the relevant theoretical results. Based on the above analyses, a watt-level broadband white light supercontinuum source spanning from 500 nm to beyond 1700 nm is demonstrated by using a picosecond fiber laser in combination with the matched photonic crystal fiber. The limitation of the group velocity matching curve of the photonic crystal fiber is also discussed in the paper.  相似文献

Supercontinuum generation in the spectral range 530–1100 nm in series of photonic-crystal fibers pumped by femtosecond Ti:S laser Mira Oprima 900-F is achieved. The evolution of spectral characteristics of femtosecond supercontinuum is proofed to be dependent on pump pulse wavelength and power radiation. Polarization characteristics of supercontinuum spectral components are analyzed. We demonstrated experimentally the possibility of control of femtosecond supercontinuum generation.  相似文献

对双正交偏振光脉冲在色散平坦渐减光纤中传输时超连续谱的产生进行了计算和分析。结果表明,由于交叉相位调制效应的作用,双光脉冲可以产生比单光脉冲明显展宽且更为平坦的超连续谱。对于双基孤子脉冲,可以得到-20dB谱宽达388nm的平坦宽带超连续谱,比单基孤子脉冲产生的超连续谱谱宽增加72nm,交叉相位调制效应对超连续谱的产生起到增强的效果。当输入脉冲的抽运功率较低时,交叉相位调制效应对超连续谱的产生的增强效果更为显著,它极大地提高了超连续谱的产生的效率。数值计算的结果还表明,与其他高阶非线性效应相比,拉曼自频率移效应对超连续谱产生的影响更为明显。  相似文献

利用飞秒激光脉冲在NaCl溶液中成丝,研究了溶液温度对飞秒激光成丝过程中产生的超连续谱的影响.发现在激光脉冲能量较低时,溶液温度对超连续谱的影响几乎可以忽略;而在激光脉冲能量较高时,随着NaCl溶液温度的升高,超连续谱呈现出被压缩的趋势.此外,在激光脉冲能量较高的情况下, NaCl中会产生大量的气泡.通过分析,得出了飞秒激光在溶液中成丝产生的气泡是影响超连续谱发射的主要因素.  相似文献

We show what is believed to be the first coherent white-light optical vortices generated from supercontinuum that have the azimuthally varying phase structure consistent with a monochromatic Laguerre-Gaussian beam. Two methods of Laguerre-Gaussian supercontinuum generation are discussed and contrasted. We use a computer-generated hologram to convert a Gaussian white-light supercontinuum source into Laguerre-Gaussian supercontinuum.  相似文献

为了产生高重复频率的多波长短光脉冲,利用锁模掺铒光纤激光器作为抽运光源,对色散位移光纤中的脉冲光谱展宽进行了实验研究,成功地实现了45nm超连续谱的产生,并滤波得到了多波长输出。实验还发现,光纤激光器的输出脉冲的稳定不够和功率不高是制约这个实验结果的主要因素。  相似文献
