采用Bär 模型研究了通过被动介质间接延迟耦合的两层可激发介质中螺旋波的相互作用. 数值模拟结果表明: 延迟耦合可以促进两个螺旋波的同步, 也可导致从螺旋波到集体振荡、各种靶波、时空混沌态或静息态的转变; 在这个耦合系统中还观察到周期 2和周期3螺旋波以及螺旋波漫游和漂移现象; 对产生这些现象的物理机制做了讨论. 关键词: 螺旋波 被动介质 时间延迟耦合 同步  相似文献

采用Br-Eiswirth模型研究了两层耦合可激发介质中螺旋波的动力学,两层介质通过网络连接,即在每一层介质上,每一列选一个可激发单元作为中心点,在一层介质上同一列的可激发单元只与另一层介质上对应的中心点及其8个邻居有耦合.数值模拟结果表明:通过这种局部耦合,在适当小的耦合强度下两耦合螺旋波可实现同步,增大耦合强度会导致螺旋波漫游和漂移,造成螺旋波不同步,观察到螺旋波与静息态、低频平面波和不规则斑图共存现象.在适当强的耦合强度下,还观察到两螺旋波转变成同步的平面波消失现象.对产生这些现象的物理机理做了讨论.  相似文献

A generalization of the Kuramoto model in which oscillators are coupled to the mean field with random signs is investigated in this work. We focus on a situation in which the natural frequencies of oscillators follow a uniform probability density. By numerically simulating the model, we find that the model supports a modulated travelling wave state except for already reported π state and travelling wave state in the one with natural frequencies followingLorenztian probability density or a delta function. The dependence of the observed dynamics on the parameters of the model is explored and we find that the onset of synchronization in the model displays a non-monotonic dependence on both positive and negative coupling strength.  相似文献

Spatial evolution of a Langmuir wave excited by external sources in a weakly inhomogeneous electron plasma without external sources is considered for a small positive gradient of the plasma concentration in the direction of propagation of the wave. At the first state of the evolution, the dispersion of the wave is close to linear. When the phase velocity is doubled, the second stage of the evolution begins. The wave loses its individuality and becomes a hybrid of two waves. Its profile acquires the shape of an alternating sequence of fragments of these waves. The wave dispersion is determined by the dispersion of each fragment. In the course of evolution, the spacing between the equilibrium values of the wave fragments increases; as a result, the wave decays into two waves, which are also loaded by trapped electrons. Prior to decay, the humps of the wave become steeper; as a result, at the instant of the decay, the wave is transformed into a sequence of solitons with different polarities.  相似文献

Quantum theory of two consecutive light-wave parametric interactions with aliquant frequencies produced by a common pump wave in a crystal is developed. Using the differentiation method, the unitary evolution operator of the system is reduced to an ordered form that allows the calculation of the field state and the statistical characteristics of interacting waves. It is shown that, for the initial vacuum field state, the created photons obey the super-Poisson statistics at the interacting frequencies and are in a multiparticle entangled state.  相似文献

This article continues a series of publications devoted to the study of waves in the framework of the asymmetric theory of elasticity, where the deformed state of the medium is characterized by independent vectors of translation and rotation. The problem of acoustic Rayleigh wave propagation in half space is considered within a model of the reduced Cosserat medium. A general analytic solution of this problem is obtained. The analysis of this solution is compared with the corresponding solution for a classical elastic medium and full linear Cosserat medium. It is shown that the Rayleigh wave is characterized by a range of forbidden frequencies, where this wave cannot propagate. The dispersion curve consists of two branches. One of them has a cut-off frequency and cut-off wavenumber.  相似文献

The response at the surface of an isotropic viscoelastic medium to buried fundamental acoustic sources is studied theoretically, computationally and experimentally. Finite and infinitesimal monopole and dipole sources within the low audible frequency range (40-400 Hz) are considered. Analytical and numerical integral solutions that account for compression, shear and surface wave response to the buried sources are formulated and compared with numerical finite element simulations and experimental studies on finite dimension phantom models. It is found that at low audible frequencies, compression and shear wave propagation from point sources can both be significant, with shear wave effects becoming less significant as frequency increases. Additionally, it is shown that simple closed-form analytical approximations based on an infinite medium model agree well with numerically obtained "exact" half-space solutions for the frequency range and material of interest in this study. The focus here is on developing a better understanding of how biological soft tissue affects the transmission of vibro-acoustic energy from biological acoustic sources below the skin surface, whose typical spectral content is in the low audible frequency range. Examples include sound radiated from pulmonary, gastro-intestinal and cardiovascular system functions, such as breath sounds, bowel sounds and vascular bruits, respectively.  相似文献

A new type of synchronization, on-off collective imperfect phase synchronization, is found in a turbulent state. In the driver frame the nonlinear wave system can be transformed to a set of coupled oscillators moving in a potential related to the unstable steady wave. In "on" stages the oscillators in different spatial scales adjust themselves to collective imperfect phase synchronization, inducing strong bursts in the wave energy. The interspike intervals display a power-law distribution. In addition to the embedded saddle point, it is emphasized that the delocalization of the master mode also plays an important role in developing the on-off synchronization.  相似文献

A nonlinear wave equation for the velocity “relaxator” is derived in the framework of the rheological model and the corresponding equation of state of a microinhomogeneous medium containing viscoelastic defects with quadratic nonlinear elasticity. The equation is qualitatively analyzed, and numerical solutions to it are presented for a stationary symmetric shock wave and the evolution of initially harmonic waves.  相似文献

The perturbation method is employed to analyse the guided waves in a borehole surrounded by a cubic crystal medium for the first time. The cubic crystal medium is regarded as a reference unperturbed isotropic state added to the perturbation. The dispersion characteristics of Stoneley wave, pseudo-Rayleigh wave, flexural wave, and screw wave are investigated in detail. It is found that dispersion of the guided waves excited by monopole and dipole sources does not depend on the azimuth of the source, whereas the dispersion of screw wave excited by quadrupole source is significantly related to the azimuth of the source. Screw waves propagated along different azimuth in the borehole can be split. This is different from screw waves in transversely isotropic media (hexagonal crystal), which have been widely studied.  相似文献

Variants of closed wave equations for velocity perturbations in a rotating compressible medium (liquid or gas) are suggested. The effects of both the nonideal form of the equation of state of the medium and the character of its unperturbed state are taken into account in the equations. In the case of an ideal gas at an isothermal background state, these equations are solved exactly in analytic form, and the solutions describe the generalized radial oscillation modes. An inference is made about the existence of a shift of resonance frequencies of these modes because of the rotation of the medium. This shift is calculated as a function of the velocity of gas rotation and the radius of the cylinder.  相似文献

The authors have recently demonstrated the shear wave interference patterns created by two coherent vibration sources imaged with the vibration sonoelastography technique. If the two sources vibrate at slightly different frequencies omega and omega+deltaomega, respectively, the interference patterns move at an apparent velocity of (deltaomega/2omega)upsilon(shear), where upsilon(shear) is the shear wave speed. We name the moving interference patterns "crawling waves." In this paper, we extend the techniques to inspect biomaterials with nonuniform stiffness distributions. A relationship between the local crawling wave speed and the local shear wave velocity is derived. In addition, a modified technique is proposed whereby only one shear wave source propagates shear waves into the medium at the frequency omega. The ultrasound probe is externally vibrated at the frequency omega-deltaomega. The resulting field estimated by the ultrasound (US) scanner is proven to be an exact representation of the propagating shear wave field. The authors name the apparent wave motion "holography waves." Real-time video sequences of both types of waves are acquired on various inhomogeneous elastic media. The distribution of the crawling/holographic wave speeds are estimated. The estimated wave speeds correlate with the stiffness distributions.  相似文献

Spiral wave could be observed in the excitable media, the neurons are often excitable within appropriate parameters. The appearance and formation of spiral wave in the cardiac tissue is linked to monomorphic ventricular tachycardia that can denervate into polymorphic tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation. The neuronal system often consists of a large number of neurons with complex connections. In this paper, we theoretically study the transition from spiral wave to spiral turbulence and homogeneous state (death of spiral wave) in two-dimensional array of the Hindmarsh-Rose neuron with completely nearest-neighbor connections. In our numerical studies, a stable rotating spiral wave is developed and selected as the initial state, then the bifurcation parameters are changed to different values to observe the transition from spiral wave to homogeneous state, breakup of spiral wave and weak change of spiral wave, respectively. A statistical factor of synchronization is defined with the mean field theory to analyze the transition from spiral wave to other spatial states, and the snapshots of the membrane potentials of all neurons and time series of mean membrane potentials of all neurons are also plotted to discuss the change of spiral wave. It is found that the sharp changing points in the curve for factor of synchronization vs. bifurcation parameter indicate sudden transition from spiral wave to other states. And the results are independent of the number of neurons we used.  相似文献

The synchronization and asynchronization of two coupled excitable systems are investigated. The two systems with different initial configurations, which are separately a single spiral wave (or a travel wave) and the rest state, can be developed to the synchronizing state with the same spiral wave (or travel wave) in each system, when the coupling is very strong. Decreasing the coupling intensity, two rest states or two different configurations appear in the two systems. The qualitative analysis and interpretation are given.  相似文献

We analyze the phenomenon of frequency clustering in a system of coupled phase oscillators. The oscillators, which in the absence of coupling have uniformly distributed natural frequencies, are coupled through a small-world network, built according to the Watts-Strogatz model. We study the time evolution and determine variations in the transient times depending on the disorder of the network and on the coupling strength. We investigate the effects of fluctuations in the average frequencies, and discuss the definition of the threshold for synchronization. We characterize the structure of clusters and the distribution of cluster sizes in the synchronization transition, and define suitable order parameters to describe the aggregation of the oscillators as the network disorder and the coupling strength change. The non-monotonic behavior observed in some order parameters is related to fluctuations in the mean frequencies.  相似文献

We report the derivation of a wave equation for coherence in "dark state" two-photon-resonance spectroscopy. One of its consequences is a dark state area theorem. The dark area theorem is a single ordinary differential equation which is globally equivalent, in a way we describe, to the full set of five coupled nonlinear partial differential equations that govern space-time evolution of two-pulse coherence in a lambda medium. The predictions of the dark area theorem are open to test via laser spectroscopy in dilute vapors and inhomogeneously broadened solids.  相似文献

The nonlinear interaction of waves in a driven medium may lead to wave turbulence, a state such that energy is transferred from large to small length scales. Here, wave turbulence is observed in experiments on a vibrating plate. The frequency power spectra of the normal velocity of the plate may be rescaled on a single curve, with power-law behaviors that are incompatible with the weak turbulence theory of Düring et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 97, 025503 (2006)10.1103/PhysRevLett.97.025503]. Alternative scenarios are suggested to account for this discrepancy -- in particular the occurrence of wave breaking at high frequencies. Finally, the statistics of velocity increments do not display an intermittent behavior.  相似文献

A recent study has found an explosive synchronization in a Kurammoto model on scale-free networks when the natural frequencies of oscillators are equal to their degrees. In this work, we introduce a quantity to characterize the correlation between the structural and the dynamical properties and investigate the impacts of the correlation on the synchronization transition in the Kuramoto model on scale-free networks. We find that the synchronization transition may be either a continuous one or a discontinuous one depending on the correlation and that strong correlation always postpones both the transitions from the incoherent state to a synchronous one and the transition from a synchronous state to the incoherent one. We find that the dependence of the synchronization transition on the correlation is also valid for other types of distributions of natural frequency.  相似文献
