We propose a scheme for transferring of a two-mode entanglement of zero- or one-photon entangled states between two cavities via atom-cavity field resonant interaction. In our proposal, in order to transfer the entangled state, we only need two identical two-level atoms and a two-mode cavity for receiving the teleported state. This scheme does not require Bell-state measurement and performing any transformations to reconstruct the initial state. And the transfer can occur with 100% success probability in a simple manner. And a network for transferring of a two-mode entangled state between cavities is suggested. This scheme can also be extended to transfer N-mode entangled state of cavity.

In this paper, we propose a scheme for transferring an unknown atomic entangled state via cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). This scheme, which has a successful probability of 100 percent, does not require Bell-state measurement and performing any operations to reconstruct an initial state. Meanwhile, the scheme only involves atom--field interaction with a large detuning and does not require the transfer of quantum information between the atoms and cavity. Thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay. This scheme can also be extended to transfer ring an entangled state of $n$-atom.

A scheme is presented for generation of entangled states for two atoms trapped in two distant bad cavities. The scheme can work with bad cavities with the coupling strength smaller than the cavity decay rate, which is important from the viewpoint of experiment. In the scheme the atoms have no probability of being populated in the excited state and thus the atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed, which increases the probability of success. The fidelity of the entangled state is not affected by the detection eflciency. Furthermore, the scheme does not require the detection of the left-polarized photon and right-polarized photon at the same time.

In this paper, we present a peculiar tripartite entangled state that is inequivalent to both the GHZ state and the W state, and then propose to implement efficient quantum information processing such as quantum dense coding and teleportation with this entangled state in cavity QED. In this scheme the atoms interact with a highly detuned cavity field with the assistance of a strong classical driven field. It does not require the transfer of quantum information between the atomic system and the cavity, and then our scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field.

A scheme is proposed for generating NOON states for two atomic samples trapped in two distant cavities connected by a third cavity and optical fibers. In the scheme, all the atoms are always populated in the two degenerate ground states, so the atoms’ spontaneous emission can be omitted approximately. During the operation neither the cavity modes nor fiber modes are excited, which is important in view of decoherence. The scheme does not include projective measurement and the NOON state is generated deterministically.

Abstract According to the protocol of Agrawal et al., we propose a cavity QED scheme for realization of teleportation and dense coding. Instead of using EPR states and GHZ states, our scheme is more insensitive to the loss of one particle by using a W-class state as a quantum channel. Besides, our scheme is immune to thermal field, and does not require the cavity to remain in the vacuum state throughout the procedure.

We present a scheme for transferring an unknown atomic entangled state with a single resonant interaction. This scheme only requires a single resonant interaction of two atoms with a cavity mode and does not use the cavity mode as the memory. Thus the scheme is very simple and the interaction time is very short, which is important, in view of decoherence. Quantum state can be directly transferred from two atoms to another two at, oms with a successful probability of 100 percent.

A scheme is proposed for generating entangled W states with four cavity modes. In this scheme, we send a V-type three-level atom through two identical two-mode cavities in succession. After the atom exits from the second cavity, the four cavity modes are prepared in the W state. On the other hand we can obtain three-atom W states by sending three V-type three-level atoms through a two-mode cavity in turn. The present scheme does not require conditional measurement, and it is easily generalized to preparing $2n$-mode W states and $n$-atom W states.

A scheme is proposed for the generation of two-atom maximally entangled states and realization of quantum logic gates and teleportation with cavity QED. The scheme does not require the transfer of quantum information between the atoms and cavity. In the scheme the cavity is only virtually excited and thus the requirement on the quality factor of the cavities is greatly loosened.

We presented a scheme to implement SWAP gate in a microwave cavity. In our scheme, two superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) qubits are coupled to a single-mode microwave cavity field by adiabatic passage method for their manipulation. This process of implementing SWAP gate is in the range of present experiments. The scheme can be easily obtained only by three steps, which does not require perform any operation. In the scheme, the operations only involve three lowest flux states of the SQUIDs, and the excited states would not be excited; therefore, the decoherence due to spontaneous emission of the SQUIDs’ levels would not affect the operations. In addition, during the whole procedure the cavity field is not necessary to be excited because it does not require transfer quantum information between the SQUID’s and the cavity field. Thus, the cavity decay is suppressed. Therefore our scheme may be realized in superconducting systems.

We propose a scheme for implementing three-party quantum secure sharing via a four-particle cluster state in driven cavity QED. In our protocol, each of the two receivers can read out the sender’s secret communication message only if they choose to cooperate with each other. The protocol does not require the joint Bell-state measurement needed in the previous schemes and can considerably reduce the realization difficulty in experiment. Moreover, the cavity is only virtually excited and thus is insensitive to the cavity decay and the thermal field. The probability of success in our scheme can reach 1.0.

We propose a scheme for generating two-mode squeezing in high-Q resonators using a beam of atoms with random arrival times, which acts as a reservoir for the field. The scheme is based on four-wave mixing processes leading to emission into two cavity modes, which are resonant with the Rabi sidebands of the atomic dipole transition, driven by a saturating classical field. At steady state the cavity modes are in an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen state, whose degree of entanglement is controlled by the intensity and the frequency of the transverse field. This scheme is robust against stochastic fluctuations in the atomic beam, does not require atomic detection nor velocity selection, and can be realized by presently available experimental setups with microwave resonators.

Recent years, several ways of implementing quantum games in different physical systems have been presented. In this paper, we perform a theoretical analysis of an experimentally feasible way to implement a two player quantum game in cavity quantum electrodynamic(QED). In the scheme, the atoms interact simultaneously with a highly detuned cavity mode with the assistance of a classical field. So the scheme is insensitive to the influence from the cavity decay and the thermal field, and it does not require the cavity to remain in the vacuum state throughout the procedure.

An alternative scheme is proposed to transfer quantum states and prepare a quantum network in cavity QED. It is based on the interaction of a two-mode cavity field with a three-level V-type atom. In the scheme, the atom-cavity field interaction is resonant, thus the time required to complete the quantum state transfer process is greatly shortened, which is very important in view of decoherence. Moreover, the present scheme does not require one mode of the cavities to be initially prepared in one-photon state, thus it is more experimentally feasible than the previous ones.

A robust scheme is presented for realizing entangled states for two atoms trapped in separate cavities connected by an optical fiber. The first atom is initially in a superposition of the excited state and an auxiliary ground state not coupled to the first cavity, while the second one is initially in the ground state coupled to the second cavity. The scheme involves two atom-cavity-fiber interactions accompanied by the monitoring of the cavity decay and atomic spontaneous emission. The two atoms evolve to an entangled state through exchanging an excitation after the first interaction. The states with the excitation failing to be transferred are eliminated when a photon is detected during the second interaction. Therefore, the scheme is insensitive to the decoherence effect and detection inefficiency.

We propose a scheme for teleportation of four-level atomic states in thermal cavities. The scheme does not involve the generalized Bell-state or generalized GHZ-state measurement, which is difficult in practice. Another feature of the scheme is that it does not require individual addressing of atoms in cavity and is insensitive to both cavity decay and thermal field, which is of importance in point of experiment.

A scheme is proposed to unconditionally implement state transfer between two distant atoms by sending the atoms across two distant cavities connected via an optical fibre, respectively. The field state, which preserves the information about the first atom, is transmitted from one cavity to the other along the fibre. A Faraday rotator integrated in the fibre can be designed to completely stop the fields reflected from the second cavity, thus after the field interacts with the second atom for a defined time, the state transfer can be accomplished with unit efficiency.
